Several files in, one note out
A topic is rarely in one file. Select the slides, the chapter and the handout together, and LunaNotes builds one note, diagram or deck from all of them.

A 200-page book is more than one note can take in. When you generate a note, each file says whether the whole document fits or about how many pages will be used, so nothing is cut without you knowing.
- Mix PDFs, Word and text files in one selection.
- Add a file while you generate. It is saved to Files as well.
- The result opens in the same workspace, ready to edit.
Ask your readings a question
Each document's text is indexed by section and page, so the Assistant answers from what the file actually says.
Attach a file to a message on Home or in Chat. It is saved to Files too, so you can use it again next week.
Storing files is free. Room depends on your plan.
Uploading and keeping files uses no credits; generating from them does.
Storage counts what you have uploaded across all your workspaces, and the Files page shows how much is left. Deleting a file frees its space.

What people ask before they try it.
No. Files are kept as you uploaded them, though you can rename them. You write and edit in notes; files are the source material.
On the Files page you can search by file name and filter by type. The text inside each document is indexed too, so the Assistant can find and answer from it when you ask.
They stay. Notes, diagrams and flashcards you already made from a file are kept when you delete it, and its storage is freed.
It is either over 50 MB or a type LunaNotes can't read, such as an older .doc file, a WebP image, or audio and video. The upload tells you which, before anything is sent.
