Wherever you study, the same notes are open
LunaNotes runs in the browser, so a laptop, a tablet and a phone all open the same library with nothing to install. A note syncs as you type it, and a status chip tells you when it has.

One web app on every screen, one extension on your computer
There is no desktop app or phone app to keep up to date. The web app is the whole product, and the extension adds LunaNotes to the browser you study in.

No Save button, and a chip that never fibs
Notes sync as they are typed, to every device and to the extension. The chip in the corner of the note says where your words are right now, and it never says Saved when they are only on this device.

Offline keeps what you type. It does not open the app.
LunaNotes is built for a connection that drops, not for working without one. Here is the line.
Keeps working
- Keep typing in a note that is already open when the connection drops
- Edits are stored in this browser the moment you make them
- They go up to your account by themselves once you are back online
Needs a connection
- Opening the app, or a note, in the first place
- Signing in
- AI notes, chat, diagrams and flashcards
- Search, lists and anything that loads from your library
Don't sign out while you're offline
Signing out removes this browser's copies of your notes, so edits that have not synced yet go with them. The same goes for clearing site data. Reconnect, wait for Synced, then sign out.
Your notes leave with you
Download one note or your whole library in formats other apps open, for free. On paid plans, keep a copy in step automatically or hand your notes to an AI assistant.
| To take out | Where | What you get | Plan |
|---|---|---|---|
| One note | The note's side panel, Export note | A Markdown (.md) file | Every plan |

| Everything at once | Settings, Export | Notes, flashcards, quizzes and meetings as Excel, CSV, Markdown or PDF, prepared in the background | Every plan |
| A copy that keeps up | The API's changes feed | Notes as they change, for a sync tool you run | Starter and Plus |
| Your AI assistant | MCP, with an API key | Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor or any MCP client can search and read your notes | Starter and Plus |
