I think making friends just takes a sentence or two. You could just say, “You're so pretty. Can I add you on WeChat? Maybe we can hang out later.” I made many friends like that. Is exchanging gifts important when you meet up with friends? I think it's a way. How long do you think friends should know each other before it's appropriate to exchange gifts?
