I'm going to try this.

[00:03]

Safe to serve Jamaica. Happy Sabbath.

[00:07]

>> [sighs]

[00:08]

>> That sounds good. Praise the Lord.

[00:12]

A few quick announcements here.

[00:15]

You have been watching us

[00:18]

doing aggressive, effective evangelism

[00:20]

on the island.

[00:22]

I want to let you know

[00:24]

that there is another

[00:27]

distribution that would take place

[00:29]

shortly.

[00:30]

So, we have another food distribution

[00:35]

that also includes groceries,

[00:37]

of course, water,

[00:40]

and we also have clothes,

[00:42]

and uh

[00:44]

survival equipment.

[00:47]

And those items will be distributed on

[00:51]

tomorrow, that's Sunday, June 7th.

[00:55]

If you

[00:57]

would like some of these items, I'm

[00:59]

going to encourage you all to write down

[01:01]

this address.

[01:02]

The address is 71

[01:05]

Manchester Road. 71 71 Manchester Road,

[01:11]

and of course, that's in Mandeville.

[01:14]

Please make note of the time.

[01:17]

You saw us further west a few days ago

[01:20]

uh distributing items. This distribution

[01:23]

will be in Mandeville. The time tomorrow

[01:27]

is going to be at

[01:30]

11:00 a.m. What time did I say?

[01:33]

11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. 11:00 a.m.

[01:37]

until 4:00 p.m. on tomorrow. Okay?

[01:42]

All right.

[01:43]

On this Sabbath here,

[01:45]

it's impossible for me to share

[01:47]

everything I have to share with you.

[01:50]

So, that means today is just the

[01:52]

beginning

[01:54]

of a great movement for the Lord here in

[01:57]

Jamaica.

[01:58]

They are They are Amen. There going to

[02:00]

be several other meetings. We're already

[02:03]

putting in place plans

[02:06]

for a few more days.

[02:08]

So, stay tuned for that announcement.

[02:12]

Uh this this this year is somewhat

[02:15]

special to me, my wife, and the minister

[02:19]

team.

[02:21]

As you know that the actual church Save

[02:24]

the World

[02:25]

began in 2006.

[02:28]

So, this year is actually our 20th

[02:30]

anniversary.

[02:32]

And how fitting to come here in Jamaica

[02:35]

for this special meeting.

[02:39]

I strongly believe that if the Lord

[02:40]

should tarry a few more months longer

[02:44]

than today, then more meetings like

[02:46]

these must be held.

[02:49]

You see, friends,

[02:51]

there are many

[02:52]

ministries around town,

[02:55]

and there are many literature

[02:57]

that have been distributed on this

[03:00]

island of Jamaica.

[03:03]

And yet, we don't see a greater work.

[03:07]

On one hand, we know it's God's timing.

[03:09]

On the other hand, it's something else.

[03:12]

I believe the people on this island

[03:15]

of my birth, this island Jamaica here, I

[03:18]

believe

[03:19]

that it's not more truth they need per

[03:22]

se.

[03:23]

Of course, truth is progressive, and

[03:25]

people need more principles, reforms,

[03:28]

and standards.

[03:29]

But what the people need to see on this

[03:31]

island are people living the truth.

[03:35]

That's the problem.

[03:36]

It's people living the truth.

[03:39]

And God is waiting and anticipating a

[03:42]

group of faithful believers that would

[03:46]

not only speak about the truth, not only

[03:49]

preach about the truth, but live the

[03:51]

truth.

[03:53]

And if you have been following us for

[03:55]

quite some time, you know I don't spend

[03:57]

much time talking about theory

[04:00]

because theory is good, but theory

[04:02]

without practical godliness is

[04:04]

worthless.

[04:06]

As the Bible says about Jesus, he was

[04:09]

the word. John 1:1. But verse 14 says

[04:13]

that the word became flesh.

[04:16]

The word became what?

[04:18]

Became flesh. So, while we have the word

[04:20]

of theory in that context, we need

[04:22]

practical godliness. I know some of you

[04:26]

can travel.

[04:27]

So, I hope to see some of you in

[04:29]

Georgia.

[04:34]

All right.

[04:35]

For our upcoming summer convocation,

[04:38]

that is July 30 through August 2nd.

[04:42]

And I don't want to

[04:44]

be negligent

[04:46]

without thanking you for making the

[04:47]

sacrifice to come out today.

[04:50]

I know the whisperings and the

[04:52]

announcements were made, "Don't go to

[04:54]

that meeting."

[04:56]

I I

[04:59]

I heard

[05:00]

and I saw the bulletin. I saw the

[05:03]

announcements. I

[05:05]

the text messages. People showed them to

[05:07]

me.

[05:08]

Family members saying, "Don't come to

[05:10]

this meeting. He's a cult leader. Don't

[05:13]

come to this meeting. A fanatic, an

[05:14]

offshoot."

[05:17]

I've heard. Am I lying?

[05:20]

All right.

[05:22]

Even elders and pastors have told you

[05:24]

not to attend.

[05:26]

But praise the Lord, you listened to

[05:28]

God's voice.

[05:30]

And today we're going to see, we're

[05:32]

going to see by God's grace

[05:35]

who allowed you to come.

[05:36]

If it was the devil or if it was the

[05:38]

Lord.

[05:40]

And I believe that you're being led by

[05:42]

the Lord.

[05:44]

So, here's what I want you all to do.

[05:45]

Pay attention today as we go through

[05:48]

God's word. Because what I'm going to

[05:50]

share with you, I need it.

[05:53]

What I'm going to share with you is a

[05:55]

personal experience.

[05:56]

And today we want to go higher

[05:59]

in the Lord and go deeper in the word of

[06:02]

truth. So again, again I must say I

[06:04]

thank you for making the sacrifice to

[06:07]

come out to this present truth Sabbath

[06:10]

convocation. After this service,

[06:13]

please don't go home. Amen.

[06:15]

Stay right here because we have a whole

[06:17]

day plan for you all by God's grace.

[06:20]

After this, we have our fellowship

[06:22]

lunch. After word, we have also our

[06:25]

round table panel discussion. We'll be

[06:28]

addressing some vital issues going on

[06:31]

here in Jamaica and the worldwide field.

[06:34]

Then afterwards, we have a

[06:38]

my own say it to serve.

[06:41]

Melodies of heaven will be live

[06:44]

in concert. And you don't want to miss

[06:46]

that.

[06:48]

I talk too much. Without further ado,

[06:50]

let's all kneel at this time and let us

[06:53]

seek the Lord in prayer at this time.

[06:57]

Is this clock working right here?

[07:00]

Can you put me on the clock, please?

[07:02]

Can you put me on the clock?

[07:04]

I don't want to keep the folks here too

[07:05]

long. Put me on the clock. Thank you.

[07:07]

And while it's raining outside, friends,

[07:09]

literally, it's drizzling outside, we

[07:11]

want the former rain and the latter

[07:13]

rain. What do you say?

[07:15]

Amen. Amen.

[07:16]

Let's pray.

[07:21]

Father in heaven,

[07:23]

we gather in your presence

[07:26]

not on Sunday.

[07:29]

It's on the first day of the week.

[07:32]

That's not the biblical day of worship.

[07:35]

We gather on the seventh day of the

[07:36]

week,

[07:37]

commonly called Saturday, the biblical

[07:40]

Sabbath.

[07:42]

I pray now you'll grant us the

[07:44]

refreshing.

[07:46]

Grant us the revival and the reformation

[07:49]

you have promised.

[07:50]

May we all see duty. May we all see

[07:53]

Jesus.

[07:55]

May we all surrender everything to our

[07:59]

great high priest, Jesus Christ. Feed us

[08:03]

today with hot, fresh bread from

[08:06]

heaven's bakery. And when this service

[08:09]

is over, may your name be exalted. May

[08:12]

your name be glorified here in Jamaica.

[08:16]

Be with those who are joining us online

[08:19]

even now. Safe to serve international

[08:21]

live online right now. Bless us now we

[08:24]

pray. May the holy angels surround this

[08:28]

place. Sanctify one more time this

[08:32]

conference hall at the AC Marriott

[08:35]

Hotel.

[08:36]

May your holy spirit pay us a visit in a

[08:39]

greater measure even right now. Let

[08:42]

there be no interruption, no

[08:44]

distractions. May we treat this message

[08:47]

as if it were the last, as a life and

[08:50]

death message is our prayer to you in

[08:53]

the most holy place of the heavenly

[08:55]

sanctuary in the name of Jesus Christ.

[08:58]

Amen. Amen. Amen.

[09:02]

Amen. Present truth Sabbath convocation.

[09:06]

I want you all to turn your Bibles to 2

[09:08]

Peter chapter 1. Where are we going to,

[09:10]

my friends? 2 Peter chapter 1. And I

[09:14]

want to point you to that scripture that

[09:16]

mentioned present truth. And the Bible

[09:19]

says in verse 12 of 2 Peter chapter 1,

[09:22]

"I would not be negligent to keep you in

[09:25]

remembrance of these things, though you

[09:28]

know them, that you might be established

[09:31]

in the present truth." And based on

[09:34]

inspiration, we know what comprises

[09:37]

present truth. Inspiration says, "But

[09:40]

such subjects as the sanctuary, the what

[09:43]

my friends? The sanctuary, the 2300

[09:46]

days, the commandments of God, amen, and

[09:50]

the faith of Jesus, that these

[09:52]

principles comprise present truth. And

[09:56]

this is what the flock needs right now."

[09:59]

If that's clear my friends, say amen.

[10:01]

And I want you all to note that present

[10:04]

truth it also comprises the message

[10:07]

about the close of human probation, the

[10:11]

close of salvation for men, for women,

[10:15]

for boys, for girls, for those professed

[10:18]

Christians and non-Christians, for those

[10:21]

professed SDAs and non-SDA. Present

[10:25]

truth comprises the close of salvation

[10:28]

for this whole world. And I want to

[10:31]

bring your attention to this wonderful

[10:33]

potent prophecy of Daniel chapter 8 and

[10:37]

Daniel chapter 9. We see two principal

[10:40]

prophecies and these two prophecies they

[10:43]

point to the close of human probation.

[10:47]

Notice carefully at the second line,

[10:50]

Daniel chapter 9 verse 24 through verse

[10:54]

27, the 70 prophetic weeks that began

[10:58]

457 BC to 34 AD. That brings to view the

[11:03]

close of probation for the Jewish

[11:06]

people. If that's clear, say amen.

[11:09]

And notice now on the top you have

[11:11]

Daniel chapter 8 and verse 14, "Unto

[11:14]

2,300

[11:16]

days then shall the sanctuary

[11:19]

be cleansed." And the cleansing of the

[11:22]

sanctuary is connected to the close of

[11:26]

human probation. So these are two

[11:28]

prophecies that are connected to the

[11:31]

close of human probation. Now, notice

[11:35]

carefully at these three events with

[11:37]

three dates, which are connected to the

[11:40]

end. You have AD 27, the baptism of

[11:45]

Jesus, AD 31, the crucifixion of Jesus

[11:50]

Christ, AD 34, you have the stoning of

[11:54]

Stephen, which points to the close of

[11:57]

probation for the Jewish people. You

[12:00]

have three dates,

[12:01]

three events with a close of probation.

[12:05]

So, why am I talking about this? Because

[12:07]

today there are not only SDAs in our

[12:11]

midst right now. You invited family

[12:14]

members who are not SDA. If I'm right,

[12:17]

say amen.

[12:19]

All right. There are non-SDA here. So,

[12:22]

what do all these things mean? It is

[12:24]

simply the events that led to the close

[12:28]

of probation for the Jewish people.

[12:30]

God's word says those events are going

[12:33]

to be repeated just before the close of

[12:36]

probation for the world and the second

[12:39]

coming of Jesus. If that's clear, my

[12:41]

friend, say amen.

[12:43]

The events that led to the destruction

[12:46]

of literal Jerusalem typifies the

[12:49]

destruction of the world in the time of

[12:52]

the mark of the beast crisis. If that's

[12:55]

clear, my friend, say amen. Go to

[12:57]

Matthew 23 with me. It is confirmed.

[13:00]

Matthew chapter 23, look carefully at

[13:03]

verse 37 of Matthew 23 through verse 39.

[13:09]

And also note Matthew 24, verse 1

[13:13]

through verse 3. And I want you all to

[13:15]

notice carefully that Christ began his

[13:18]

public ministry in the year 27. It's

[13:21]

right there. In the year 27, he began

[13:24]

his public ministry. And the close of

[13:27]

probation for the Jewish people took

[13:30]

place in the year 34. So, how many years

[13:33]

elapsed between 27 and 34? It is what,

[13:37]

my friends? Seven years. So, Christ

[13:40]

began his public ministry in the final

[13:43]

seven years

[13:45]

before the close of probation for the

[13:47]

Jewish people. So, what is God saying to

[13:50]

us? There's going to be a raising up of

[13:54]

men and ministries that will pattern the

[13:57]

ministry of Jesus just before the close

[14:01]

of probation, even the final years of

[14:04]

this earth's history. Is that point

[14:06]

clear?

[14:07]

Not only Jesus, John the Baptist began

[14:10]

his public ministry in the year 27 AD,

[14:14]

spring 27 AD. Again, the probation

[14:18]

closed on the Jewish people in the year

[14:21]

34 AD. The final seven years. And what

[14:25]

does seven represent in the Bible, my

[14:28]

friends? Come on, talk to me.

[14:30]

Completion. Completion. And inspiration

[14:33]

says, "Just as God raised up John the

[14:36]

Baptist as the forerunner of Christ's

[14:39]

first advent, God raised up John the

[14:42]

Baptist, he's going to raise up men and

[14:44]

ministries just before the close of

[14:47]

probation, just before the mark of the

[14:50]

beast crisis, just before the second

[14:52]

coming of Christ." And I want to be in

[14:55]

that group, do you?

[14:56]

Do you? Again, do you? And notice

[14:59]

carefully, as God raised up John the

[15:02]

Baptist in the year spring 27, what year

[15:06]

are we living in right now? Is it not

[15:08]

2026?

[15:10]

So, my friends, we must live today as if

[15:13]

we were living in the year 26.

[15:17]

If God had allowed us to live in the

[15:19]

year 26, would we have been a part of

[15:23]

John the Baptist ministry?

[15:26]

Question.

[15:27]

Would we have been a part of Christ's

[15:29]

ministry, or would we be a part of the

[15:32]

synagogues, of the Sanhedrin, the

[15:34]

conference churches in darkness?

[15:38]

I just stepped on some toes.

[15:41]

Let me be clear right here.

[15:43]

I am not against conference

[15:47]

and conference pastors, administrators,

[15:50]

elders, and professors. What I'm against

[15:54]

is apostates.

[15:56]

Those who are living a lie and teaching

[15:59]

heresy and leading people to damnation.

[16:03]

That is what Christ is against, and

[16:06]

since Jesus is against such, by God's

[16:08]

grace, I am against that as well.

[16:13]

The last seven years, said God is

[16:15]

raising up individuals, and that's why

[16:18]

we're told Watch this. In the book The

[16:21]

Desire of Ages, you see you all who have

[16:23]

a front row seat,

[16:25]

you all here with a front row seat, you

[16:27]

watch this. All right, friends, watch

[16:29]

carefully here. In The Desire of Cut

[16:31]

that. In The Desire of Ages, on page

[16:34]

823, we're told that we must spend a

[16:38]

thoughtful hour each day

[16:40]

in contemplation upon the life of

[16:43]

Christ, that we must take it point by

[16:46]

point and let the imagination let the

[16:48]

what? The imagination grasp each scene,

[16:51]

especially the closing ones. That means

[16:55]

we must visualize ourselves living in

[16:58]

the time of the final scenes, the final

[17:01]

years of Christ's earthly ministry, and

[17:04]

it began what year? The year 27, and

[17:07]

what year comes shortly? 2027.

[17:13]

And that's why as a ministry I began a

[17:15]

9-month journey from now until spring

[17:19]

2027.

[17:22]

So, God can use us as he used John the

[17:25]

Baptist to prepare people for the first

[17:28]

advent of Christ, and we can prepare

[17:31]

people for the second coming of Christ.

[17:34]

I'm simply laying the foundation. I'm

[17:36]

not ready to

[17:37]

accelerate. Go to Malachi chapter 4 with

[17:40]

me. Malachi, what chapter are we going

[17:41]

to, my friends? And I hope you brought a

[17:44]

writing instrument. In Malachi chapter

[17:46]

4, verse 5, verse 6, put it down, and

[17:50]

Luke chapter 1, verse 13 and verse 17. I

[17:53]

want all to note that as God raised up

[17:56]

John the Baptist, who came in the spirit

[17:59]

and power of Elijah, God has now raised

[18:02]

up ministries to do a similar work. And

[18:06]

the question is, can you discern them?

[18:10]

There are folks here who are not SDA,

[18:13]

and they're wondering, "Why did my

[18:15]

family member invite me here?

[18:17]

Why did my family member, my neighbor

[18:21]

invite me to this meeting?" My friends,

[18:23]

because God is raising up ministers,

[18:27]

ministries, churches as he raised up

[18:30]

John the Baptist to prepare people for

[18:32]

the first advent of Christ. So,

[18:35]

non-SDAs, do you understand why you're

[18:37]

here now?

[18:39]

Do you understand why you're here now?

[18:41]

So, hold your place in Malachi and go to

[18:43]

Luke chapter 11.

[18:45]

And today I want to focus on the great

[18:48]

question that the disciples asked Jesus.

[18:51]

I see you all all the way in the back

[18:53]

row there.

[18:54]

I want to talk to you right now.

[18:56]

Oh, everybody, listen carefully. What

[18:58]

was the question that the disciples

[19:00]

asked Jesus in Luke chapter 11 and verse

[19:03]

1?

[19:05]

We must contemplate on that great

[19:07]

question and ask Jesus the very same

[19:10]

question.

[19:12]

We must analyze that question so we can

[19:15]

understand which modern-day minister,

[19:18]

which modern-day ministry, which

[19:20]

modern-day church is God's modern-day

[19:24]

John the Baptist, God's modern-day

[19:26]

Elijah's. And what was that question? In

[19:29]

Luke chapter 11 and verse 1, and the

[19:32]

question was, "Lord, teach us to pray as

[19:37]

whom?" Come on, talk to me, my friends.

[19:41]

You watch this.

[19:43]

You watch. "Lord, teach us to pray as

[19:46]

John the Baptist taught his disciples TO

[19:49]

PRAY." QUESTION, DID they ask the Lord?

[19:53]

Did they say this to Lord, "Teach me to

[19:56]

do literature evangelism like John?"

[20:00]

Is that what they said?

[20:01]

Did they say, "Lord, teach me to be a

[20:04]

medical missionary and I can get some

[20:06]

herbs to help those who are sick?" Is

[20:08]

that what they said?

[20:09]

Is there anything wrong with being a

[20:11]

canvasser?

[20:12]

Is anything wrong with being a

[20:14]

literature evangelist distributing, even

[20:18]

selling truth-filled literature? Is

[20:20]

there anything wrong with that?

[20:23]

But that's not what the conversation was

[20:25]

about. Did they say, "Lord, teach me how

[20:28]

to preach like John the Baptist?" Is

[20:30]

that what they said?

[20:32]

No, my friends. Is anything wrong with

[20:33]

preaching and teaching?

[20:35]

But notice they said, "Lord, teach us to

[20:37]

what? To pray

[20:40]

like John the Baptist." You see, my

[20:42]

friends, we're told in Gospel Workers,

[20:45]

page 244, "Never a man speak like this

[20:49]

man because never a man lived like this

[20:52]

man. He could not have spoken if he had

[20:56]

not so lived." Many young people and

[20:59]

adults, young men and older men, they

[21:03]

want to preach like John the Baptist,

[21:05]

but the question is, do you have the

[21:07]

experience of John the Baptist?

[21:11]

Mercy.

[21:12]

And there's quietness

[21:15]

in the hall right now.

[21:18]

That's the question. Because friends,

[21:20]

before you can be the forerunner of

[21:22]

Christ's second advent, prayer must be

[21:26]

your cornerstone.

[21:28]

Before you yourself can be prepared for

[21:31]

the second coming of Jesus, prayer must

[21:34]

be your cornerstone. Lord, teach me to

[21:37]

pray.

[21:38]

Before you can get others ready, your

[21:41]

wife, your children, yes, your neighbor,

[21:44]

your family member ready for the second

[21:47]

coming of Jesus, teach them to make sure

[21:50]

prayer is their cornerstone. Lord, teach

[21:53]

me not to preach like John, but Lord,

[21:56]

teach me to pray as John taught his

[22:00]

disciples to pray. That means modern-day

[22:03]

John the Baptist would teach their

[22:05]

members how to do what? Finish it.

[22:09]

And do you realize nowadays that prayer

[22:11]

is not being emphasized as it should in

[22:14]

our churches?

[22:17]

Lord, have mercy.

[22:19]

I told you you watch this.

[22:22]

Do you realize you can receive a Bible

[22:25]

study series of lessons and tell me from

[22:28]

lesson one to lesson 24, which one deals

[22:33]

with prayer specifically?

[22:35]

If you show me one, I'll stop preaching.

[22:39]

You see one about second coming, state

[22:42]

of the dead, the millennium, the mark of

[22:44]

THE BEAST, THIS ALL THOSE ARE WONDERFUL,

[22:47]

IMPORTANT, but which one addresses

[22:50]

prayer?

[22:56]

You watch this.

[22:58]

Are you ready? Go to Luke chapter 11

[23:00]

with me, my friends. Prayer must be the

[23:02]

cornerstone. Look what this statement

[23:04]

says as I'm emphasizing cornerstone. And

[23:08]

listen to me, the cornerstone was the

[23:10]

first, most crucial stone laid in the

[23:14]

foundation. Do you have a cornerstone?

[23:18]

Prayer must be your cornerstone. Every

[23:20]

subsequent brick, you know, friends, as

[23:23]

I was here and I came downstairs, do you

[23:25]

realize that they're working on the

[23:27]

driveway at the AC Hotel right here? Do

[23:31]

you know what they're laying outside

[23:32]

there?

[23:33]

Brick.

[23:34]

And every building must have a what? A

[23:37]

cornerstone. And prayer must be your

[23:40]

cornerstone. It says every subsequent

[23:42]

brick, measurement, structural wall was

[23:45]

aligned and balanced in reference to the

[23:48]

cornerstone. Skip on down.

[23:51]

It says the foundation, the cornerstone,

[23:54]

it bears the weight of the structure

[23:57]

ensuring it does not collapse. Beloved,

[24:01]

you can be a Sabbath keeper, but if you

[24:03]

don't have a cornerstone, you will

[24:05]

collapse,

[24:07]

fall, AND BE LOST.

[24:11]

YOU CAN BE A plant-based eater. You can

[24:13]

eat wheatgrass every day and drink

[24:15]

water.

[24:17]

But if you lack the cornerstone, you

[24:19]

will collapse and fall and be lost.

[24:22]

You can be a medical missionary, a

[24:25]

canvasser, and literature evangelism,

[24:27]

but without this cornerstone, you will

[24:30]

collapse, fall, and be lost. And the

[24:33]

last time I read, the only thing that

[24:36]

should fall is Babylon

[24:39]

is fallen, is fallen.

[24:42]

Come out of her, my people. Come out of

[24:45]

a form of godliness, but you have no

[24:49]

power. Second Timothy chapter 3 and

[24:51]

verse 5. And what does the Bible say

[24:54]

brings power? More prayer, more what?

[24:57]

Finish it, brothers and sisters. More

[24:59]

power. Luke chapter 11.

[25:02]

Didn't I say watch this?

[25:05]

>> [laughter]

[25:06]

>> You think we left from Georgia to come

[25:07]

and tickle you?

[25:08]

Luke chapter 11. Look carefully at verse

[25:11]

one. And it came to pass as he was

[25:14]

praying in a certain place, when he

[25:16]

ceased, one of his disciples said unto

[25:19]

him, "Lord, everybody read with me. Lord

[25:22]

what? Teach us to pray as John also

[25:27]

taught his disciples." Modern-day John

[25:30]

the Baptist preparing the people for the

[25:33]

second coming of Jesus Christ, for the

[25:37]

mark of the beast crisis. Beloved, as a

[25:40]

people, everybody listen attentively. As

[25:43]

a people, do you know we will spend more

[25:46]

time even doing Bible study and not that

[25:49]

much time in prayer.

[25:53]

Beloved, I have a lot to share with you.

[25:56]

But one sermon can't do it.

[25:58]

One Sabbath sermon can't do it. But if I

[26:02]

had one message to preach, it's this

[26:05]

one, the cornerstone. It's this one,

[26:09]

your foundation. Do you realize many of

[26:11]

us we treat earnest, personal, diligent

[26:16]

prayer as gravy in the meal.

[26:20]

When prayer should be the main course of

[26:23]

the meal.

[26:24]

What if I all What if I invited you all

[26:27]

to my home for dinner?

[26:30]

Hillary, can we serve this many people,

[26:31]

Hillary?

[26:32]

Lot of people. And what if you saw the

[26:35]

food come out and all you saw was gravy?

[26:38]

What would you think of us?

[26:40]

Oh, you okay. Watch this now.

[26:43]

What if after this sermon, it's time for

[26:46]

our fellowship lunch and the hosts bring

[26:48]

the food out, but all YOU SAW WAS GRAVY.

[26:56]

And that's how many of us treat our

[26:58]

Christian experience. Prayer is not the

[27:01]

main course, my friends. We treat prayer

[27:04]

as gravy.

[27:07]

As a matter of fact, I I don't even like

[27:08]

gravy.

[27:10]

Growing up, I loved gravy. Where's my

[27:12]

mom? Loved gravy.

[27:14]

Just give me substance, amen. Amen, my

[27:16]

friend. Listen what this says. Ministry

[27:19]

of Healing, page 51 says, "The savior's

[27:22]

life on Earth was a life of communion, a

[27:26]

life of what, friends? A life of

[27:28]

communion with nature, in nature, and

[27:31]

with God. In this communion,

[27:34]

in this communion, Jesus has revealed to

[27:38]

us the secret, the what? The secret of a

[27:41]

life OF POWER."

[27:46]

COMMUNION.

[27:47]

Prayer is the secret of A LIFE OF POWER.

[27:52]

AND THAT'S why 2 Thessalonians chapter 3

[27:55]

verse 1 and verse 5 says, "This know

[27:58]

also, in the last days, perilous times

[28:01]

shall come.

[28:03]

Men shall be lovers of their own selves,

[28:06]

etc., etc." And verse number 5 says,

[28:09]

"Having a form of godliness, a form of

[28:13]

Christianity, a form of the remnant

[28:16]

church, a form of Seventh-day Adventism,

[28:20]

but denying the power thereof."

[28:24]

And what was that secret of power? It

[28:27]

says, "Communing in nature

[28:30]

with his father." This was the secret of

[28:33]

a LIFE OF WHAT? POWER.

[28:36]

PRESENT Truth Sabbath Convocation, I

[28:38]

want this power. How about you, my

[28:40]

friend? Do you want it? Listen what this

[28:43]

says. The only reason for our lack of

[28:46]

power with God is to be found in

[28:49]

ourselves. The people are not growing in

[28:52]

grace. The next sentence, I want you all

[28:55]

to listen and watch this carefully and

[28:58]

ask yourself, is this me? Red word, it

[29:01]

says, a hurried prayer a hurried prayer

[29:06]

is offered now and then

[29:08]

but there is no real COMMUNION WITH GOD.

[29:16]

Here's my chorus as if I'm singing a

[29:17]

song. Lord, teach us to pray.

[29:28]

Impactful, amen.

[29:30]

Lord

[29:32]

You can put your hand down now.

[29:34]

Lord, TEACH US TO PRAY.

[29:37]

LISTEN WHAT THIS SAYS HERE, my friends.

[29:39]

Watch carefully. Give it to me. It says,

[29:42]

the same dangers still exist as activity

[29:46]

increases and men become successful in

[29:50]

doing any work for God, there's danger

[29:53]

of trusting to what? Human what? Plans

[29:57]

and methods. There is a tendency to pray

[30:00]

how? To pray less and to have less

[30:04]

faith. To pray less and to have less

[30:07]

faith. Prayer with faith, like the

[30:10]

disciples, we are in danger of losing

[30:13]

sight of our dependence on God. Let's

[30:17]

read and seeking to make our savior

[30:21]

of our activity. Lord, teach us to pray.

[30:25]

Prayer is your cornerstone. Prayer is

[30:28]

not gravy.

[30:30]

If that's clear, my friend, say amen.

[30:32]

So, the next time you eat a meal and you

[30:35]

see that gravy, remember on June 6th, I

[30:38]

told you by God's grace, don't treat

[30:40]

prayer as the gravy in the meal. Prayer

[30:44]

is the main course. James chapter 5, go

[30:46]

there with me. My job today, my friends,

[30:49]

is very simple. Is to put your hand in

[30:51]

the hand of Christ. That's my job. And

[30:54]

when that is accomplished, I've done my

[30:57]

mission. Is that point clear? Go to

[30:58]

James chapter 5 with me. There are too

[31:00]

many Christians in the SDA community and

[31:04]

in the Sunday community who don't have a

[31:07]

genuine biblical experience. They know

[31:11]

about some truth, but no don't know the

[31:13]

truth.

[31:15]

Who is Christ by experience?

[31:18]

James chapter 5, look what the Bible

[31:20]

says in verse 15. And if you're there,

[31:23]

my friends, just say amen. The Bible

[31:25]

says, "And the prayer of faith shall

[31:28]

what?" "The prayer of faith shall what?"

[31:30]

"Shall save." And we're told in the book

[31:33]

Education, page 257, that the prayer of

[31:38]

faith must be studied as if we're giving

[31:41]

a Bible study. Prayer and faith is a

[31:44]

divine science. It's a what, my friends?

[31:48]

It's a divine science. Watch me

[31:51]

carefully. The majority of us, even

[31:53]

young people who are now in school, yes,

[31:56]

in prep school, primary school, high

[31:59]

school, now in college and university.

[32:02]

Many of us, what we do, we spend more

[32:04]

time and we study the science of

[32:07]

biology.

[32:09]

But not THE SCIENCE OF PRAYER.

[32:12]

WE SPEND SO MUCH TIME STUDYING the

[32:14]

science of chemistry.

[32:16]

But not THE SCIENCE OF PRAYER. WE SPEND

[32:19]

SO much time studying the science of

[32:22]

physics.

[32:23]

NOT THE SCIENCE OF PRAYER. WE SPEND SO

[32:26]

MUCH TIME studying the science of

[32:28]

astronomy.

[32:30]

Not the science of prayer. We spend so

[32:33]

much time studying the science of

[32:35]

psychology.

[32:36]

Not the science of prayer. We spend so

[32:39]

much time studying the science of

[32:42]

sociology,

[32:43]

not the science of prayer. Even studying

[32:46]

the science of politics, political

[32:49]

science, but not the science of prayer.

[32:53]

If that's clear, my friends, say amen.

[32:55]

And that's why we're told that

[32:57]

in the book The Great Controversy,

[32:59]

page 519, that Satan will lose all whom

[33:04]

he can lead

[33:05]

to neglect to negate prayer and the

[33:08]

searching of scriptures will be overcome

[33:15]

by his attacks.

[33:17]

Therefore, Satan invents every possible

[33:21]

device to engross our minds.

[33:24]

And some of you are now saying, "Pastor,

[33:26]

I would love to pray, but I'm so busy."

[33:29]

What are you busy with?

[33:32]

Hear what this statement says, because

[33:34]

those who use that excuse, "I'm so

[33:36]

busy." I want to be very clear, if

[33:38]

you're very busy, you have no time to

[33:41]

commune with God, then one day very,

[33:44]

very soon God will remove those things

[33:48]

that you claim that make you busy. You

[33:51]

have no time for prayer. Watch this. Do

[33:54]

you want to lose your home?

[33:56]

Lose your job? Oh, I must work. Of

[33:58]

course you must work, but don't allow

[34:00]

work to keep you from communing with

[34:03]

Christ.

[34:07]

Why do you think God brought you here?

[34:10]

To waste time?

[34:11]

Huh?

[34:13]

Imagine you leave here, what did you

[34:15]

learn?

[34:16]

Pastor Brett, you preached the word this

[34:18]

morning.

[34:19]

Let me add to it. Listen what this says,

[34:21]

we should now acquaint ourselves with

[34:23]

God by proving his promises.

[34:28]

Angels record every prayer that is

[34:30]

earnest and sincere. We should rather

[34:34]

dispense with selfish gratification than

[34:37]

neglect communion with God. The deepest

[34:41]

poverty, the greatest self-denial with

[34:45]

God's approval is better than riches,

[34:49]

honors, ease, and friendship without it.

[34:52]

Everybody, read the next line with me.

[34:55]

We must take time to pray. Thank you for

[34:59]

your participation. Let me finish up. If

[35:02]

we allow our minds to be absorbed by

[35:05]

worldly interests, the Lord may give us

[35:09]

time to pray. How? By removing from us

[35:13]

our idols of gold, of houses, of what?

[35:17]

Of fertile lands. And that's why we're

[35:20]

told in the book, The Desire of Ages,

[35:24]

page 635,

[35:26]

while the student over here, while the

[35:30]

student center, while the student is

[35:33]

busily seeking knowledge of everything

[35:36]

but their Bibles and pray, God brings

[35:40]

the close of probation.

[35:44]

Is that point clear?

[35:47]

So, pastor, what is prayer? We're told

[35:49]

prayer is the opening of the heart to

[35:52]

God as with a friend.

[35:55]

Prayer is the opening of the heart to

[35:58]

God with a friend. Don't tell me you

[36:01]

came here and learned nothing.

[36:04]

Prayer is the opening of the heart to

[36:06]

God as to a friend, as to a spouse. Do I

[36:10]

hear amen? That's volume 4, page 533,

[36:14]

Lord, teach us to pray. I want you all

[36:18]

to understand that Luke chapter 11 and

[36:21]

verse number one did not say, Lord,

[36:24]

teach us how to pray. The word how is

[36:27]

not in the verse,

[36:29]

of course it implies a how. But Lord,

[36:33]

teach us to pray over here. Lord, teach

[36:36]

us to pray over here. Lord, teach us to

[36:39]

pray. It means teach us the reasons

[36:42]

to pray.

[36:44]

>> [snorts]

[36:44]

>> If that's you, say amen. Let's go now to

[36:47]

Matthew 26 for what primary chief reason

[36:51]

did Christ bring the disciples into

[36:53]

Gethsemane and told them, "Watch and

[36:56]

pray." What was about to happen?

[37:00]

Beloved, church and state were about to

[37:04]

unite to capture and crucify Jesus. So

[37:07]

Christ brought them into Gethsemane for

[37:10]

what purpose? To watch and pray. Is

[37:13]

church, is state, are church and state

[37:16]

uniting right now? Is the mark of the

[37:20]

beast coming, brothers and sisters?

[37:23]

You wait until I get to the current

[37:25]

events. The what, my friends? You wait

[37:27]

until I get to the current events. Is

[37:29]

the mark of the beast crisis about to

[37:32]

take place? Lord, teach us to pray the

[37:35]

reasons to pray. And Christ told them,

[37:38]

"Come into Gethsemane. Watch and pray."

[37:41]

Why? "You're going to need a faith that

[37:44]

you DO NOT NOW POSSESS.

[37:47]

You're going to need strength that you

[37:49]

do not now possess."

[37:52]

Lord, teach us to pray. WHAT ELSE was

[37:55]

coming while they were in Gethsemane?

[37:58]

The betrayer was about to be revealed.

[38:02]

And many of us, we are about to

[38:04]

experience

[38:06]

terrible betrayal. But betrayal from

[38:09]

whom? Psalm 55, the psalmist David

[38:12]

wrote, "If it wasn't an enemy that

[38:15]

betrayed me, I could have borne it.

[38:18]

But it was my acquaintance. It was my

[38:21]

friend." my friend. And Matthew chapter

[38:24]

10 and verse 34 says, "A man's foes

[38:29]

shall be where?"

[38:31]

"A man's foes shall be they of his own

[38:34]

household."

[38:36]

Yes, my friends. And our

[38:38]

our foe can be sleeping right beside us

[38:41]

IN BED.

[38:45]

YOUR WIFE,

[38:47]

YOUR HUSBAND. Great Controversy page

[38:50]

597,

[38:52]

the four silken cords of affection,

[38:56]

people that will betray you. Number one,

[38:59]

conjugal. That's your spouse. Number

[39:01]

two, parental. That's your parents.

[39:04]

Betrayal from your parents because

[39:06]

you're living present truth.

[39:09]

Number three, number three, filial.

[39:12]

That's your children.

[39:14]

Your your your children children will

[39:17]

betray parents because parents are walk

[39:20]

in the light of present truth, Bible

[39:23]

truth, but not children. They have

[39:25]

become lovers of the world.

[39:27]

And number four, social, your friends.

[39:31]

Lord, teach me to pray what was coming

[39:34]

in Gethsemane. My friends, shaking and

[39:38]

sifting. Was Peter almost shaken out?

[39:43]

Lord, teach me to pray the reasons to

[39:45]

pray because we're now living in the

[39:47]

shaking and sifting time. Lord, finish

[39:51]

it, my friends. Teach me to pray the

[39:55]

reasons to pray. Did Christ see a need

[39:58]

for strength? While he was there in

[40:01]

Gethsemane. Why? Because persecution and

[40:04]

death were coming. Question, when the

[40:07]

mark of the beast is enforced, what will

[40:10]

happen to God's commandment-keeping

[40:13]

people, God's seventh-day

[40:15]

Sabbath-keeping people? Will they be

[40:17]

persecuted?

[40:19]

Will they also encounter a death decree?

[40:22]

Will they also be threatened that they

[40:25]

won't be able to buy or sell? Lord,

[40:29]

finish it. Teach me to pray the reasons

[40:32]

to pray.

[40:34]

IS THE SEAL OF GOD COMING?

[40:36]

Are some going to be sealed? Are others

[40:39]

going to be marked for damnation, marked

[40:42]

for destruction? Lord, teach me to pray.

[40:46]

Let's add the word now. Lord, teach us

[40:49]

how to pray. Go to Luke chapter 11 and

[40:52]

take a writing instrument and put that

[40:54]

word in the margin. Lord, teach us how

[40:57]

to pray as John taught his disciples to

[41:01]

pray. And beloved, when this is over,

[41:04]

I'm going to share with you a golden

[41:07]

nugget. I want to challenge you with

[41:08]

this question. Can anyone find me a

[41:11]

scripture where John taught his

[41:13]

disciples how to pray?

[41:15]

If you find me that scripture, I'll give

[41:17]

you a present.

[41:20]

And I can keep all my presents cuz you

[41:22]

can't find one.

[41:24]

So, what does that verse mean? Lord,

[41:27]

teach me, teach us to pray as John

[41:32]

taught his disciples. What scripture

[41:34]

said that John taught his disciples to

[41:37]

pray? Find me that text.

[41:40]

I'll give you a gift.

[41:43]

How many of you are here?

[41:45]

I got 10.

[41:46]

And you will not get one. Find me a

[41:48]

scripture. Let's go. Lord, teach us how

[41:51]

to pray. I'll give you 10. Number one,

[41:53]

my friends, when you pray, pray aloud to

[41:56]

God alone.

[41:59]

Prayer is not gravy. Prayer is your

[42:01]

cornerstone. And my friends, if you

[42:03]

don't implement these 10 things, you're

[42:06]

going to be lost. You're what, my

[42:08]

friends? If you don't implement these 10

[42:11]

things I give you, you are going to be

[42:13]

lost. Number one, what was number one?

[42:16]

Pray to God aloud.

[42:19]

Pray to him alone. Go with me to Daniel

[42:22]

chapter 6.

[42:24]

You don't hear prayer being emphasized.

[42:27]

It's a foundation. It's the secret of a

[42:30]

life of power. Now, young man, don't

[42:33]

stretch on me.

[42:34]

Am I boring?

[42:37]

Don't yawn on me. Come on. Am I boring?

[42:40]

All right, friends. We know let's pray

[42:42]

for God to keep us awake. Chapter 6 of

[42:44]

Daniel, get a writing instrument and

[42:47]

mark verse 11. What verse? And mark

[42:49]

verse 13. Pray to God aloud alone. Look

[42:54]

what this says, my friends. Watch

[42:55]

carefully. It says, "Did Daniel Did

[42:59]

Daniel cease to pray because the death

[43:03]

decree

[43:04]

had gone into force? No. That was just

[43:08]

the time when Daniel needed to pray."

[43:11]

Blue words. "Daniel did not pray in his

[43:15]

heart." One more time. "Daniel did not

[43:17]

pray in his mind, but with his voice

[43:21]

aloud, brothers and sisters." Did Daniel

[43:24]

pray aloud? I have something for you.

[43:28]

You were stretching. Oh, I got something

[43:29]

for you. A songwriter says, "Dare to be

[43:32]

a Daniel.

[43:34]

Dare to stand alone. Dare to have a

[43:37]

purpose firm and dare to make it known."

[43:41]

Live like Daniel.

[43:43]

He prayed aloud, brothers and sisters.

[43:46]

Is that point clear? Listen what this

[43:48]

statement says. "Learn to pray short and

[43:51]

write to the point."

[43:53]

Do I hear amen? "Learn to pray aloud.

[43:57]

Learn to pray how? Aloud, where only God

[44:01]

can hear you."

[44:03]

If that's clear, my friends, say amen.

[44:05]

But some people will now say, "Pastor,

[44:07]

if I pray aloud, the devil is going to

[44:10]

hear my prayers."

[44:12]

So, what?

[44:15]

So, what?

[44:16]

If you are sincere, Satan can't stop the

[44:19]

prayer from being answered.

[44:21]

If you're saying, "Pastor, I won't pray

[44:23]

aloud, the devil will hear my prayer."

[44:25]

You are implying that Satan can't stop

[44:28]

God from blessing you.

[44:32]

That's heresy. As a matter of fact, do

[44:34]

you know what is more telling? When he

[44:36]

hears your prayer and he can't stop it.

[44:39]

It tells you THAT SATAN IS POWERLESS.

[44:43]

THAT GOD IS OMNIPOTENT.

[44:46]

That God is more powerful. Listen what

[44:49]

this says, "AND THE SOUND OF fervent

[44:52]

prayer

[44:54]

Satan's

[44:56]

whole hosts trembles."

[45:01]

HE SATAN continues to call legions of

[45:05]

evil angels to accomplish his devious

[45:09]

objective. And when angels from heaven,

[45:12]

all powerful from heaven, clothed with

[45:15]

the armory of heaven, come to the help

[45:18]

of the fainting is that you pursued

[45:22]

soul. Is that you? Let's read. "Satan

[45:25]

and [laughter] all his HOSTS FALL BACK

[45:28]

and wonder why when knowing that THEIR

[45:31]

BATTLE IS LOST."

[45:35]

LET him hear the prayer. Pray out aloud.

[45:39]

Number two. Come on. Come on. Number

[45:40]

two. My time is going. Number two.

[45:42]

Number two. My friends, have you ever

[45:44]

prayed and in the midst of your prayer,

[45:47]

your mind begin to stray? You say, "Our

[45:50]

Father, dear Lord,

[45:53]

help me."

[45:54]

And by help me, you start sleeping.

[45:58]

And drooling.

[46:00]

Or your mind is somewhere else.

[46:03]

Because you're praying in your mind.

[46:06]

There are time and places you pray in

[46:09]

your mind.

[46:10]

But there are other times you pray out

[46:12]

aloud to God alone. Watch this now. And

[46:16]

by speaking aloud to God and you move

[46:19]

your lips, "Dear Lord, help me today as

[46:21]

I preach this sermon that your people

[46:23]

understand and receive present truth."

[46:26]

As you're moving your lips, it's way

[46:28]

more difficult for the mind to stray. Go

[46:32]

to 1 Samuel chapter 1. Lord, teach us to

[46:36]

pray as John the Baptist

[46:39]

taught his disciples to pray. The

[46:41]

modern-day John the Baptist will teach

[46:44]

the people how to pray and pray

[46:46]

effectively that they might receive

[46:49]

power.

[46:51]

1 Samuel chapter 1. If you're there,

[46:53]

just say amen. Mark your Bible. 1 Samuel

[46:56]

chapter 1. Look carefully at verse 13.

[47:00]

Everybody mark that. Now, Anna spake in

[47:02]

her heart. Her lips moved, but her voice

[47:06]

was not heard. What was she doing, my

[47:08]

friends? Her lips were moving. Listen

[47:11]

what this statement says. They cut that.

[47:13]

Blue words. If the mind wanders while

[47:17]

you're praying, we must bring it back.

[47:20]

Amen. By persevering effort, habit will

[47:24]

finally make it easy. Bring that mind

[47:27]

back by praying out aloud. If that's

[47:30]

clear, my friends, say amen. Number

[47:33]

three, have a special place to pray.

[47:35]

Have a what? Go to John chapter 18. Have

[47:38]

a special place to pray. And what was

[47:42]

Christ's special place for prayer? Does

[47:45]

anyone know?

[47:46]

The

[47:47]

Ah, I heard it. Christ's special place

[47:50]

for prayer was where? Come on. In the

[47:52]

garden of Gethsemane. John chapter 18,

[47:56]

verse 1 and verse two. And there must be

[47:59]

a special place for prayer. Just find

[48:02]

one. As Matthew chapter six and verse

[48:05]

number six says, "When thou prayest,

[48:08]

enter thou into thy closet and shut the

[48:12]

door. Remove all distractions and pray

[48:16]

to your heavenly Father in secret. And

[48:18]

your Father which seeth in secret, what

[48:21]

will he do? Finish it. He will reward

[48:24]

thee how?

[48:26]

Openly. Praise God. Your prayer place

[48:30]

can be in your room,

[48:32]

by the bedside. It can be in a literal

[48:35]

closet where clothes are in the closet.

[48:38]

It can be in the backyard, on the back

[48:41]

patio. It could even be in the bushes.

[48:44]

Amen.

[48:45]

Country living, in the bushes. Find a

[48:47]

special place for prayer. Number four,

[48:51]

my friends, pray five times a day.

[48:54]

Pray what? I want everyone to listen.

[48:57]

Pray five times a day. Everybody, go to

[49:01]

Psalm 55 and verse 17. Go to Psalm 55.

[49:05]

Pray five times a day. And this is where

[49:09]

I'm going to challenge professed SDAs.

[49:12]

The five times of prayer, the five times

[49:16]

for prayer in the Bible is from sunset

[49:20]

to sunset, from evening to evening.

[49:23]

Everybody watch carefully. Those of you

[49:26]

who profess to be a seventh-day Sabbath

[49:29]

keeper, when does the biblical Sabbath

[49:32]

When does God's Sabbath begin?

[49:35]

Come on. Sunset Friday

[49:38]

to sunset

[49:40]

Saturday, commonly called God's Sabbath.

[49:43]

Sunset Friday to sunset Sabbath.

[49:46]

Beloved, do you know what God has given

[49:48]

to us daily so we can be 100% Sabbath

[49:53]

keeper is for us to pray five times a

[49:56]

day.

[49:58]

From evening to morning to noon, late

[50:01]

afternoon to evening, from evening to

[50:05]

evening.

[50:06]

And one reason why many professed

[50:08]

Seventh-day Adventist don't keep the

[50:11]

whole day holy is because throughout the

[50:15]

week they don't pray five times a day.

[50:20]

Let that sink in. Many professed SDAs

[50:24]

are actually people who keep just the

[50:26]

morning holy.

[50:28]

And as soon as what they call the divine

[50:32]

service, as soon as midday service is

[50:36]

over, for them it's time to go to sleep.

[50:40]

It's nap time.

[50:42]

For them it's time to go out and walk

[50:45]

the mall.

[50:47]

It's to go play, to go watch this that's

[50:50]

secular, and listen to that thing that

[50:52]

is secular, and to hold secular

[50:55]

conversations. Do you Do you know what I

[50:57]

call them? I call them 50% Sabbath

[50:59]

keeper.

[51:02]

And make no mistake about it, you're

[51:05]

either 100% a Christian OR YOU'RE NOT A

[51:08]

CHRISTIAN.

[51:12]

Watch this.

[51:14]

You're either 100% a Sabbath keeper or

[51:17]

YOU'RE NOT A SABBATH KEEPER.

[51:22]

Let me see how many of you will leave

[51:24]

when the sermon is over.

[51:31]

We are told, my friends,

[51:33]

we must be 100% Christ.

[51:36]

Not half-and-half. If we are half

[51:39]

Christian and half [laughter] the world,

[51:41]

we are 100% the world.

[51:44]

Christ Object Lessons, page 118. Almost,

[51:48]

but not wholly saved means to me means

[51:51]

to be not almost, but fully WHOLLY LOST.

[51:58]

PSALM 55, [laughter] look what the Bible

[52:00]

says in verse 17. If you're there, just

[52:03]

say amen. The Bible says evening,

[52:06]

morning, and at noon will I what? Will I

[52:08]

pray. Stop right there. When is evening,

[52:11]

that's sunset. When is morning, that's

[52:15]

early just before the sun rises. When is

[52:18]

noon time, of course, 12:00 p.m.

[52:21]

Evening, morning, and at noon, and later

[52:24]

on I'm going to share with you the third

[52:26]

hour and the ninth hour. That's five

[52:29]

times a day. Here's my point. The same

[52:32]

God that says remember the Sabbath day

[52:36]

to keep it holy is the same God that

[52:38]

says pray five times a day. So, question

[52:42]

for you, what is somebody knowingly

[52:45]

reject God's seven-day Sabbath?

[52:48]

Will that person be saved or be lost?

[52:51]

Talk to me. Be lost. Uh-huh, you said

[52:54]

it. SO, WHAT IF GOD SAYS pray evening,

[52:58]

morning, and at noon, but you don't? Can

[53:00]

that person be saved?

[53:03]

If you say yes, what you're saying is

[53:06]

you can know what truth is and disregard

[53:10]

truth and still be saved, but God that

[53:13]

is spiritualism.

[53:19]

Some of you said, "You mean this man

[53:21]

flew from Georgia to come here to talk

[53:23]

about prayer?"

[53:28]

You mean he allowed us to drive from

[53:30]

Westmoreland

[53:32]

from Hanover to come to Kingston west to

[53:36]

east

[53:37]

to come here about prayer?

[53:40]

Huh?

[53:41]

Yeah, prayer.

[53:45]

Huh?

[53:51]

NINE MONTHS JOURNEY.

[53:54]

START THE journey between now and spring

[53:57]

2027.

[53:59]

We'll begin to pray. How many times per

[54:01]

day? How many times per day? Five times

[54:04]

per day. Lord, teach us to pray as John

[54:08]

the Baptist taught the disciples to

[54:10]

pray. Psalm 55:17.

[54:13]

Evening. Well, let's go with evening. Go

[54:15]

to Matthew chapter 14. Let's find the

[54:18]

evening. Matthew, what chapter we going

[54:20]

to, my friends? Matthew chapter 14. Look

[54:23]

at verse 23. That's evening prayer.

[54:26]

That's what the Bible says. Go to Mark

[54:29]

chapter 1. Put it down. Mark chapter 1

[54:32]

and verse 35. All read this one. It

[54:35]

says, "In the morning, rising up a great

[54:39]

while before day, Jesus went out and

[54:42]

departed into a solitary place and there

[54:47]

prayed." What God instructed, God did.

[54:51]

And we cannot see what God instructed

[54:55]

and rejected and still think we're going

[54:57]

to BE SAVED.

[55:01]

PRAY FIVE times a day. Evening, morning.

[55:05]

Let's go to noon time. Go to ACTS

[55:07]

CHAPTER 10. THAT'S WHAT CHAPTER we going

[55:10]

to, my friends? Talk to me. Look

[55:12]

carefully at verse number nine. That's

[55:14]

in the noon time. Evening, morning, at

[55:18]

noon. Let's find our third hour. Third

[55:21]

hour is 9:00 a.m. What time? It's 9:00

[55:24]

a.m. Let's go to Acts chapter 2. Acts

[55:28]

chapter 2. Look carefully at verse 15.

[55:31]

That's the third hour. And what were

[55:33]

they doing on the day of Pentecost? The

[55:37]

third hour, they were praying. Put down

[55:39]

Acts chapter 1 and verse 14.

[55:44]

With Acts chapter 2 verse 1 through

[55:46]

verse 4, you have evening. You have

[55:49]

morning. You have 9:00 a.m. You have

[55:52]

noon time. What is the next one? Number

[55:55]

four. My friend, it's called the ninth

[55:58]

hour, which is 3:00 p.m. Go with me in

[56:02]

your Bibles to Acts chapter 3. Look at

[56:05]

verse 1. I'm going to read this one for

[56:07]

you. Are you ready, my friends?

[56:10]

This man called us from Portland to come

[56:12]

talk about prayer.

[56:14]

Look at Acts chapter 3. Are we there, my

[56:16]

friends? It says, "Now Peter and John

[56:19]

went up together into the temple at the

[56:23]

hour of what, everybody?"

[56:25]

No, no, no. Everybody talk to me. At the

[56:28]

hour of what?

[56:30]

One more time. At the hour of what? At

[56:32]

the hour of prayer, being the what?

[56:34]

Being the NINTH HOUR.

[56:37]

SO, WHAT TIME OF THE day does the Bible

[56:40]

say is the hour of prayer?

[56:43]

The ninth hour. So, if the Bible says,

[56:46]

"Pray at the ninth hour," if you don't,

[56:49]

can you be saved?

[56:52]

Mhm. If you don't, can you be saved?

[56:59]

Fix your glass. Amen.

[57:01]

If you don't, can you be saved? If God

[57:04]

says, "Remember the seventh day to keep

[57:07]

it holy." If you reject that

[57:09]

instruction, can you be saved?

[57:12]

All right. And what is Sabbath worship

[57:15]

for?

[57:17]

Do we not come to study God's word?

[57:20]

To hear God's word? Do we also come to

[57:23]

church to pray?

[57:25]

Remember the Sabbath day to keep it

[57:28]

holy. No man can disregard the

[57:31]

seventh-day Sabbath and still be saved.

[57:34]

So, no man can disregard the times of

[57:37]

prayer and still be saved. And here's

[57:40]

why. If you don't pray and commune with

[57:44]

God, you don't know God.

[57:46]

AND THAT'S WHY in Matthew chapter 7,

[57:49]

Christ will say to many that will say to

[57:51]

him, "Lord, Lord."

[57:54]

"Lord, Lord." And Christ will say, "Not

[57:56]

every man that say unto me, 'Lord,

[57:59]

Lord,' shall enter into my kingdom." I

[58:02]

wonder why? Because they said, "Lord,

[58:04]

Lord." But they don't know me. So,

[58:06]

Christ will say, "Depart from me. I

[58:09]

never

[58:11]

knew you. You was at work iniquity."

[58:15]

If that's clear, my friend, say amen.

[58:17]

Pray five times a day. The ninth hour

[58:21]

was an hour OF PRAYER.

[58:25]

THERE'S SO MANY PEOPLE who don't even

[58:27]

pray twice a day.

[58:30]

And this pastor has called us to the AC

[58:34]

Marriott Hotel to tell us now we must

[58:36]

pray five times a day.

[58:40]

Five times a day, but I said

[58:42]

Many profess Christians don't even pray

[58:45]

two times a day.

[58:47]

If you can't pray two times, how you

[58:49]

going to pray five times?

[58:51]

If you are never praying twice a day,

[58:53]

how are you going to pray five times a

[58:56]

day? But this is the biblical ideal. So,

[59:00]

you can become one with Christ.

[59:04]

The sad reality is there are many people

[59:07]

who are not Christians that pray five

[59:09]

times a day.

[59:10]

And they're not Christians.

[59:13]

Beloved, look at Muslims. Give it to me.

[59:17]

Give it to me. Muslims. It says Muslims,

[59:20]

who my friends?

[59:23]

Muslims, who my friends, one more time,

[59:24]

who?

[59:25]

Muslims pray five times a day

[59:30]

as a core pillar of Islam, establishing

[59:34]

a daily spiritual connection with God.

[59:38]

And these prayers are obligatory. These

[59:42]

prayers are non-negotiable. Five times a

[59:45]

day.

[59:47]

But most of us are Christians. And yet

[59:49]

we profess to be Christians. We have our

[59:52]

Bibles and many of us don't even pray

[59:55]

five times a day. And that's why I

[59:58]

believe that there are going to be some

[60:01]

Muslims

[60:03]

that will be converted from Islam and

[60:06]

join Christianity and join the remnant

[60:09]

church and take the places of many

[60:13]

professed Christians in God's remnant

[60:15]

movement. To the place of many professed

[60:18]

Seventh-day Adventists.

[60:22]

Let me confirm that from scripture. Go

[60:25]

to Acts chapter 10.

[60:27]

Where are we going to, my friends? Go to

[60:29]

Acts chapter 10. There was a man by the

[60:32]

name of Cornelius.

[60:34]

And Cornelius was not a Jew.

[60:37]

Cornelius was a Roman.

[60:40]

And the Bible says Cornelius prayed at

[60:43]

the ninth hour. Where are we going to,

[60:46]

my friends?

[60:48]

Acts chapter 10. Look at verse one.

[60:51]

Cornelius from the Italian band. Verse

[60:55]

two, a devout man. Verse two, he feared

[60:59]

God. Verse two, he gave alms to the

[61:02]

people. Verse two, and prayed to God how

[61:06]

often?

[61:08]

How often? Always. Verse three, at what

[61:11]

time of the day was Cornelius praying

[61:15]

when God gave him the vision to go send

[61:18]

for Simon Peter at what time of the day

[61:25]

you watch this message? You haven't

[61:27]

heard anything yet. At what time? AT THE

[61:29]

NINTH HOUR.

[61:32]

BUT CORNELIUS WAS NOT A JEW.

[61:35]

But yet he was faithful in praying to

[61:38]

God always. Could it be the five

[61:42]

intervals of the day? He prayed at the

[61:45]

ninth hour, 3:00 p.m.

[61:48]

What time was Christ on Calvary's cross?

[61:52]

At the sixth hour. Until when? The ninth

[61:56]

hour, 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. DID CHRIST

[61:59]

PRAY AT THE SIXTH HOUR?

[62:02]

DID CHRIST PRAY AT THE ninth hour?

[62:05]

Lord, teach us to pray as John TAUGHT

[62:09]

HIS DISCIPLES TO PRAY.

[62:12]

GO TO MATTHEW 20. In Matthew 20, you

[62:15]

find all five seasons of prayer.

[62:19]

The parable of the vineyard, the parable

[62:22]

of the laborer. And Christ called men to

[62:26]

go work in the vineyard. And the

[62:28]

vineyard represents what? Not country

[62:32]

ground, not country living. No, no, no.

[62:34]

The vineyard represents primarily our

[62:37]

mind.

[62:39]

He came at the first hour. He sent them

[62:42]

out to work in the vineyard. The third

[62:45]

hour, he came and they were found idle.

[62:48]

The sixth hour, he came, he found them

[62:51]

idle. The ninth hour, he came and found

[62:55]

them idle. He was to come THE 12TH HOUR.

[62:58]

FIRST, THIRD, SIXTH, NINTH, 12TH. FIVE

[63:04]

INTERVALS, five seasons to work on your

[63:07]

character.

[63:11]

And the hall is silent.

[63:16]

ARE THESE POINTS CLEAR MY FRIENDS?

[63:20]

NUMBER SIX, HOW LONG SHOULD I PRAY at

[63:23]

these intervals? My friends, pray until

[63:26]

the curse of sin is broken. How long

[63:29]

should I pray at these intervals of the

[63:32]

day? Pray until the shackles TO SIN ARE

[63:36]

BROKEN.

[63:41]

How long should I pray? Pray until YOU

[63:44]

FEEL STRENGTH.

[63:46]

CHRIST WAS IN GETHSEMANE. How many times

[63:49]

did Christ pray in Gethsemane?

[63:52]

Before he received strength, THREE

[63:55]

TIMES. That means if Christ had received

[63:58]

strength the first time, he would not

[64:00]

have prayed three times.

[64:02]

He prayed until he received what

[64:05]

everybody? An angel came down and

[64:08]

strengthened him for the crisis. Lord,

[64:11]

teach us to pray. Pray until you feel

[64:14]

strong in God.

[64:18]

Messages to young people page 131 says,

[64:22]

go to God in prayer. I saw how this

[64:26]

grace could be obtained.

[64:28]

Go to God. Go to God in prayer in your

[64:31]

closet and there alone plead with God.

[64:35]

And what must you plead? Create in me a

[64:39]

clean heart, oh God. Renew a right

[64:42]

spirit within me. Be earnest. Be

[64:46]

sincere. Jacob-like. Jacob-like. Wrestle

[64:50]

with God in prayer.

[64:53]

Don't stop praying until you feel strong

[64:56]

in God. Then watch and just as long as

[65:00]

you watch and pray, you can keep evil

[65:04]

besetments under and THE GRACE OF GOD

[65:08]

CAN AND WILL appear in you. Lord, TEACH

[65:13]

ME TO PRAY.

[65:15]

HOW LONG SHOULD I PRAY? Pray until

[65:19]

you're converted.

[65:22]

And that might take you all night.

[65:24]

Because Jacob wrestled with God HOW

[65:26]

LONG?

[65:28]

HOW LONG?

[65:30]

Genesis chapter 2, verse 24 through

[65:33]

verse 30. Jacob wrestled with God until

[65:38]

he was converted. How long should you

[65:41]

pray?

[65:42]

Until you're converted. And we're told

[65:45]

the season of distress and anguish

[65:48]

before us

[65:51]

will require a faith.

[65:53]

A faith that can endure weariness,

[65:56]

delay, hunger. A faith that will not

[66:00]

faint though it is severely tried. This

[66:05]

period of probation has been granted to

[66:08]

all to prepare for that time. JACOB

[66:11]

PREVAILED because he was persevering and

[66:15]

determined. His victory is the evidence

[66:19]

of potent prayer. But all who

[66:23]

refuse to pray like Jacob, we're told

[66:26]

wrestling with God, how few know what IT

[66:30]

IS.

[66:31]

HOW FEW HAVE EVER HAD their souls drawn

[66:34]

out before God with intensity AND THEIR

[66:38]

POWER IS ON the stretch when waves of

[66:41]

despair, which no language can express,

[66:44]

SWEEPS OVER THE SUPPLIANT. How few cling

[66:50]

to the promises of God. Lord, teach me

[66:54]

TO PRAY. GO to Luke 11. Number seven,

[66:57]

when you pray, PRAY GOD'S WORD. Pray

[67:01]

what, my friends? Pray the promises of

[67:03]

God. So, pastor, in the morning, "How

[67:07]

long must I pray?" Pray until you feel

[67:10]

strong. May I ask you a question?

[67:13]

Do I ask you how long you must sit and

[67:15]

have breakfast?

[67:17]

When you stop eating?

[67:21]

When you're satisfied.

[67:23]

Do I ask you how long is lunch?

[67:25]

No, you eat until you're what?

[67:28]

Satisfied. How long must you commune

[67:30]

with God? Five times a day, until you're

[67:33]

what? UNTIL YOU FEEL STRONG. THAT'S WHEN

[67:37]

YOU PAUSE and go back now to your daily

[67:39]

chores. If that's clear, my friend, say

[67:41]

amen. Lord, TEACH US TO PRAY as John the

[67:45]

Baptist taught his disciples. Luke

[67:48]

chapter 11, verse one, verse two. When

[67:51]

you pray, say. Say what? Pray the words

[67:55]

of God. If that's clear, my friend, say

[67:57]

amen. Number eight, number eight. My

[68:00]

friends, when you pray, make sure you

[68:03]

surrender every known sin to Christ.

[68:09]

THE PHARISEE, THE PUBLICAN went to

[68:11]

church and the Bible says they went to

[68:13]

worship. But the Bible says it was only

[68:16]

the publican who smote his chest, his

[68:19]

breast. And what did he say to God?

[68:22]

"God, be merciful unto me, a sinner."

[68:26]

And the Bible says this man went down to

[68:30]

his HOUSE JUSTIFIED. AND WHAT DOES

[68:32]

JUSTIFIED MEAN?

[68:35]

COME ON NOW. WHAT DOES JUSTIFIED MEAN?

[68:37]

It means forgiven. It means pardon. So,

[68:40]

the publican was pardoned.

[68:42]

>> [laughter]

[68:42]

>> The publican was what? Forgiven because

[68:45]

he prayed and surrendered.

[68:49]

There are conditions for us to receive

[68:53]

the blessing from God in prayer.

[68:56]

This man called us here to talk about

[68:59]

prayer. Yes, there are conditions that

[69:02]

we must meet in order for us to receive

[69:05]

the blessings from God. All right, I'm

[69:07]

going to step on your toe right now. How

[69:09]

many of you

[69:10]

have been holding a grudge towards

[69:13]

somebody else? How many of you know you

[69:16]

have not yet forgiven anybody?

[69:19]

Somebody, a spouse who hurt you, a

[69:22]

family member who hurt you, a parent who

[69:25]

hurt you, a oh my A FRIEND. THE BIBLE

[69:28]

SAYS in [laughter] Matthew chapter 6 and

[69:31]

verse number 12, "Lord, forgive me of my

[69:35]

debts as I forgive those who are in debt

[69:41]

to me." Debtors of mine, if you DON'T

[69:43]

FORGIVE OTHERS, GOD

[69:47]

WILL NOT CANNOT.

[69:48]

HE'S GOD.

[69:50]

He's God. HE WILL NOT FORGIVE.

[69:54]

SO, WE CAN TALK ABOUT PRAYER, but if you

[69:57]

don't surrender the spirit of grudge,

[70:00]

envy. Yes, my friends, malice,

[70:03]

unforgiveness, your prayers will not be

[70:06]

heard and Christ will say, "Depart from

[70:09]

me. I NEVER

[70:12]

>> [screaming]

[70:12]

>> KNEW YOU."

[70:15]

LORD, TEACH ME TO PRAY.

[70:19]

WATCH THIS. Have people despised you?

[70:23]

Verbally abused you?

[70:26]

Look at the life of Job. In Job 42 and

[70:29]

verse number 10, the Bible says that God

[70:33]

turned the captivity of Job when Job

[70:37]

prayed for his friends. And his friends

[70:41]

verbally abused Job, but Job, once he

[70:45]

prayed for them, that was when GOD

[70:48]

TURNED HIS CAPTIVITY. And the question

[70:51]

is, why did it take

[70:54]

42 chapters?

[70:59]

IF JOB HAD DONE THAT IN CHAPTER 42, then

[71:03]

God would have turned, delivered Job

[71:07]

LONG BEFORE CHAPTER 42.

[71:11]

IMAGINE RIGHT NOW WE ARE 42 chapters in

[71:15]

the book of Job. It could have simply

[71:17]

have been four chapters.

[71:19]

Merciful Father.

[71:21]

And God blessed him twice.

[71:25]

And many of [clears throat] us will

[71:26]

never receive deliverance BECAUSE OF THE

[71:29]

SPIRIT OF UNFORGIVENESS.

[71:35]

And many of us will never get the

[71:37]

breakthrough, country living, practical

[71:40]

preparation. Yes, my friends, being used

[71:42]

by God because YOUR HEARTS ARE FILTHY,

[71:48]

DIRTY,

[71:50]

the scum

[71:51]

of the ground,

[71:53]

grotesque,

[71:55]

pungent to one's smell. Lord, TEACH US

[71:58]

TO PRAY. AND THE BIBLE SAYS THAT there

[72:02]

conditions to your prayer. I'm going to

[72:04]

step on your toe one more time. Please,

[72:06]

allow me in the name of Jesus. The Bible

[72:09]

says,

[72:10]

"He that turneth away his ear

[72:14]

Who told you all to come front seat? Hm?

[72:16]

Front row.

[72:19]

He that turneth away, what happened?

[72:21]

Your phone ran out?

[72:23]

You were recording. What happened? I'm

[72:24]

going too long, the battery died?

[72:27]

Can somebody give him more space on his

[72:29]

phone, please?

[72:31]

He that turneth away his ear from

[72:34]

hearing the law, even his prayer is

[72:37]

abomination,

[72:39]

brothers and sisters.

[72:40]

You mean you left from Georgia

[72:42]

to come talk about prayer?

[72:45]

BUT THE BIBLE SAYS IF YOU turn your ear

[72:48]

from hearing his law, your prayer IS

[72:51]

ABOMINATION.

[72:53]

IN OTHER WORDS, IF YOU KNOW THE SEVENTH

[72:56]

commandment says, "Thou shall not commit

[72:59]

adultery." If you're still committing

[73:02]

adultery, but you come to church to

[73:04]

pray,

[73:05]

you haven't surrendered that adultery.

[73:08]

Your prayer is abomination.

[73:11]

If you know you should not kill, not

[73:14]

only physically, but you kill PEOPLE

[73:16]

WITH THAT TONGUE.

[73:22]

YOU MALICE. YOU BACKBITE. You stab your

[73:25]

brother. Stab your sister, your blood

[73:29]

sister, your blood brother, your church

[73:32]

brother, your church sister. Hi,

[73:34]

brother. Happy Sabbath. Let me give you

[73:36]

a hug.

[73:38]

IN THE BACK.

[73:40]

YOU COME TO CHURCH ABOUT PRAYER. YOU CAN

[73:43]

go ahead and pray, but if you have not

[73:45]

surrendered, YOUR PRAYER, THE BIBLE

[73:47]

SAYS, is abomination.

[73:52]

IF YOU KNOW THE SEVENTH-DAY SABBATH IS

[73:56]

not Sunday, but you reject God's

[73:58]

seventh-day Sabbath, commonly called

[74:01]

Saturday, GO TO CHURCH ON SUNDAY, and

[74:04]

say, "Oh, I'm going to pray." YOUR

[74:05]

PRAYER IS ABOMINATION.

[74:08]

PROVERBS 28.

[74:13]

BUT DIDN'T you bring your neighbors

[74:14]

here?

[74:15]

Let God talk to them.

[74:17]

Don't say, "Pastor is too harsh." LET

[74:19]

GOD PREACH.

[74:22]

PROVERBS 28. Look at verse nine.

[74:25]

The Bible says, "He that turneth away

[74:28]

his ear from keeping the law, even his

[74:31]

what? His prayer shall be what?

[74:34]

Abomination." Those of you on my

[74:36]

right-hand side, what is synonymous to

[74:39]

the word abomination?

[74:41]

What is abomination?

[74:44]

Sin. That means your prayer can become

[74:47]

what? Sin. Your prayer can be called

[74:51]

sin. Go to Psalm 109.

[74:54]

Psalm 109. The Bible says, if you

[74:57]

turneth away your ear from keeping God's

[75:01]

law,

[75:03]

YOUR PRAYER IS NOW SIN.

[75:06]

How could that be? I'm praying, "Father

[75:08]

in heaven, bless me." And that prayer is

[75:11]

sin?

[75:13]

You live from foreign land to come talk

[75:16]

about prayer. Psalm 109. Are we there,

[75:18]

my friends? Go to verse five. And they

[75:21]

have rewarded me evil for good and

[75:25]

hatred for my love. Verse six, "Set thou

[75:28]

a wicked man over him. And let Satan

[75:31]

stand at his right hand." Not God, but

[75:35]

Satan stands at his RIGHT HAND. AND WHAT

[75:40]

DOES RIGHT hand typify in the Bible? IT

[75:43]

TYPIFIES POWER.

[75:47]

SO, WHO IS NOW EMPOWERING THESE PEOPLE?

[75:50]

NOT GOD, BUT WHOM? BUT SATAN. LOOK AT

[75:53]

VERSE SEVEN. "When he shall be judged,

[75:56]

let him be condemned." Let's all read

[75:59]

now. "And let HIS PRAYER BECOME SIN."

[76:10]

PRAYER IS THE CORNERSTONE. LET HIS

[76:12]

PRAYER BECOME SIN. AND VERSE 13 THROUGH

[76:17]

VERSE 15, THOSE PEOPLE, their names will

[76:20]

be blotted OUT OF THE BOOK OF LIFE.

[76:26]

I WANT MY NAME

[76:28]

to be the Lamb's Book of Life. How about

[76:30]

you?

[76:31]

Do you want YOUR NAME TO BE FOUND IN the

[76:34]

Lamb's Book of Life?

[76:37]

Lord, TEACH US TO PRAY. DO I hear amen?

[76:41]

Number nine, as you pray, fast. As you

[76:45]

pray, what? Fast. MATTHEW CHAPTER 17

[76:49]

AND VERSE number 21, those who are

[76:52]

demon-possessed,

[76:54]

what does Jesus say? HOWBEIT THIS KIND

[76:59]

HOWBEIT THIS KIND

[77:02]

GOETH NOT OUT BUT BY PRAYER

[77:07]

and fasting. As you pray, fast. But my

[77:10]

friends, today I want to share, WHY DO

[77:13]

YOU FAST? YOU SEE, FRIENDS, AS you fast,

[77:17]

you're strengthening your yes muscle and

[77:20]

strengthening your no muscle.

[77:23]

Those of you not your SDA, when you say

[77:26]

I'm going to fast for a day,

[77:28]

naturally you feel hungry. Naturally,

[77:32]

that is a desire to eat. But you say,

[77:35]

"Lord, take away this desire to eat

[77:39]

food.

[77:40]

I want to focus on your word." So in

[77:43]

that day of fasting and praying, you are

[77:46]

learning to say yes to God and no to

[77:50]

your desires.

[77:52]

Because sin originates from a desire.

[77:57]

You are learning to say yes to God and

[77:59]

no to self.

[78:01]

Yes to God and no to a good desire. SO

[78:04]

WHEN SATAN COMES with evil, you can now

[78:08]

say yes to GOD AND WHAT? NO!

[78:12]

TO SATAN. AS YOU PRAY, FAST.

[78:16]

Strengthening your yes muscle to God.

[78:19]

Strengthening your no muscle to self, to

[78:23]

Satan, and to sin. If that's clear, MY

[78:26]

FRIEND, SAY AMEN.

[78:28]

And if WE CAN'T SAY NO TO SATAN, you are

[78:32]

a sin addict.

[78:35]

IF YOU CAN'T SAY NO TO SELF, YOU ARE A

[78:38]

sin addict. HOW MANY TIMES we look at

[78:43]

the drug addicts out there. Are we any

[78:45]

better?

[78:46]

The crack addict, but we are sin

[78:51]

addicts. THE COCAINE ADDICT,

[78:55]

but we are sin addicts. The heroin

[78:59]

addict, but we are sin addicts.

[79:04]

>> [snorts]

[79:04]

>> The prostitution

[79:06]

addict, but we are SIN ADDICT.

[79:10]

HOW DIFFERENT ARE WE if we can't say no

[79:14]

to sin? Then we are sin addicts.

[79:19]

But praise God. Jesus came to set

[79:23]

addicts free

[79:25]

FROM ADDICTIONS.

[79:27]

DO YOU WANT DELIVERANCE?

[79:29]

The spirit of the Lord is upon me, Jesus

[79:33]

said that Sabbath. He has anointed me to

[79:37]

preach the gospel to the poor and to set

[79:40]

AT LIBERTY

[79:43]

TO BRING DELIVERANCE.

[79:46]

DO YOU WANT DELIVERANCE?

[79:48]

DO YOU WANT LIBERTY? AS YOU PRAY, FAST.

[79:52]

BROTHERS AND SISTERS, CHURCH say with

[79:54]

me, LORD CHURCH,

[79:57]

BY YOUR GRACE CHURCH,

[80:00]

I will no longer be a sin addict church.

[80:07]

HOW DO I KNOW IF I'M a sin addict?

[80:10]

Romans chapter 7. The Bible says

[80:14]

in verse 18 through verse 25, the things

[80:19]

I KNOW WHICH ARE WRONG,

[80:22]

THOSE THINGS I DO. THE things I know

[80:25]

which are right, those things I don't

[80:28]

do. THAT IS A SIGN YOU have withdrawal

[80:33]

syndrome.

[80:35]

You're no different THAN THE GANJA

[80:37]

smoking addict.

[80:42]

YOU'RE A SIN ADDICT.

[80:45]

YOU'RE NO DIFFERENT THAN THE

[80:47]

METHAMPHETAMINE

[80:49]

ADDICT. YOU'RE A SIN ADDICT. YOU'RE NO

[80:53]

DIFFERENT THAN THE liquor drinker, the

[80:56]

liquor the alcoholic, THE LIQUOR ADDICT.

[80:59]

YOU'RE A SIN ADDICT. But today, we must

[81:04]

confess with our mouth SO CHRIST can

[81:07]

deliver us. Repeat after ME, CHURCH.

[81:12]

LORD, BY YOUR GRACE, CHURCH.

[81:17]

I WILL NO LONGER BE A SIN ADDICT,

[81:19]

CHURCH.

[81:23]

BUT WHEN YOU SAY THAT, THE MIND IS

[81:25]

SAYING, "You're a liar." As soon as the

[81:29]

sun set, come on over here.

[81:31]

AS SOON AS THE SUN SET, YOU GO RIGHT

[81:34]

BACK TO YOUR ADDICTION.

[81:42]

The mind is saying, "You're not

[81:44]

serious." And the devil is saying,

[81:46]

"Okay, say whatever you want to say in

[81:49]

church right now, BUT WHEN SUN SETS,

[81:52]

come on join me."

[81:54]

The addiction is real.

[81:56]

If that's a fact, say amen, my friends.

[82:00]

So today, WE WANT TO PROVE TO GOD AND

[82:02]

PROVE to ourselves we're no longer a sin

[82:06]

addict. [screaming] HOW CAN THAT BE?

[82:08]

WELL, MY FRIENDS, watch this. When you

[82:10]

are tempted, don't conceive the

[82:14]

temptation.

[82:16]

When sinful thoughts enter, remember

[82:19]

these words. Second Corinthians chapter

[82:22]

10, VERSE 3 THROUGH VERSE 5. FOR THE

[82:25]

WEAPONS OF OUR warfare are NOT CARNAL,

[82:29]

BUT MIGHTY THROUGH GOD TO THE PULLING

[82:31]

DOWN of stronghold. And verse FIVE SAYS,

[82:34]

CASTING DOWN IMAGINATIONS and every high

[82:39]

THING THAT

[82:41]

EXALTETH itself against the knowledge of

[82:45]

God and bringing into CAPTIVITY EVERY

[82:48]

THOUGHT

[82:51]

TO THE OBEDIENCE

[82:53]

OF CHRIST. THAT'S NUMBER 10. Casting

[82:57]

down EVERY HIGH THING THAT EXALTS itself

[83:01]

against THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD. IT'S RIGHT

[83:04]

HERE, MY FRIENDS. It says, we find even

[83:08]

among the clergy, PASTORS READ WORDS,

[83:12]

PASTORS ARE addicted to filthy weed.

[83:16]

Is that ganja?

[83:19]

Filthy weed. Is that marijuana?

[83:22]

PASTORS ADDICTED TO filthy weed. Is that

[83:26]

you? ADDICTED TO TOBACCO. ADDICTED TO

[83:30]

THE PERVERTS

[83:32]

OF THE APPETITE. ADDICTED TO STRONGER

[83:35]

STIMULANT.

[83:37]

IS THAT YOU, MY FRIENDS?

[83:39]

ADDICTED TO WINE, ALCOHOL, HENNESSY.

[83:43]

YES, TOBACCO, OPIUM, CIGARETTES.

[83:48]

AND THOSE who are addicted TO

[83:50]

SELF-ABUSE.

[83:54]

PORNOGRAPHY, MASTURBATION,

[83:57]

SELF-ABUSE,

[83:59]

ADDICTION MUST BE

[84:02]

KICKED.

[84:03]

IF THAT'S CLEAR, MY FRIENDS, SAY AMEN.

[84:06]

NUMBER 10. And like Joseph,

[84:09]

YOU WATCH THIS. LIKE JOSEPH, we must

[84:11]

say,

[84:12]

"How can I

[84:14]

do this great wickedness

[84:17]

and sin against who? AND SIN AGAINST

[84:21]

GOD?" [screaming]

[84:23]

PHILIPPIANS CHAPTER 4 and verse 13, I

[84:26]

can do ALL THINGS

[84:29]

THROUGH CHRIST

[84:31]

WHICH strengtheneth me. Do you all

[84:33]

believe that, my friends? I can do how

[84:35]

many things? ALL THINGS.

[84:38]

PRAYER, BELIEVING BECAUSE YOU REALIZE

[84:41]

WHAT SIN DOES TO CHRIST.

[84:45]

BECAUSE SIN WILL never hurt you enough

[84:48]

to cause you to leave sin.

[84:51]

AND THAT'S WHY WE MUST SEE WHAT SIN DOES

[84:54]

TO CHRIST.

[84:55]

WHAT IS THE MOTTO HERE IN JAMAICA? We

[84:58]

all learn growing up out of what?

[85:02]

OUT OF WHAT?

[85:03]

OUT OF MANY, ONE PEOPLE. That's the

[85:06]

Jamaican motto. BUT BASED ON THE BIBLE

[85:09]

AND SPIRIT OF PROPHECY, WHAT IS OUR

[85:11]

MOTTO? VOLUME 5 PAGE 147 says,

[85:16]

"DEATH

[85:18]

BEFORE DISHONOR

[85:20]

OR THE TRANSGRESSION

[85:23]

OF GOD'S LAW SHOULD BE THE MOTTO OF

[85:27]

EVERY CHRISTIAN."

[85:31]

LORD, BY YOUR GRACE, I WILL NOT BE A SIN

[85:35]

ADDICT.

[85:37]

Is that your motto today, my friends?

[85:40]

IS THAT YOUR MOTTO TODAY?

[85:43]

TEMPTATIONS, ONCE RESISTED, WILL OFTEN

[85:46]

GIVE POWER

[85:48]

TO MORE FIRMLY RESIST A SECOND TIME.

[85:52]

LORD, BY YOUR GRACE,

[85:54]

I will no longer be

[85:56]

>> [clears throat]

[85:57]

>> a sin addict.

[86:00]

Are these the words of your motto today?

[86:06]

Prayer

[86:08]

should be your cornerstone.

[86:10]

Do you have anything for me?

[86:12]

Prayer should be your cornerstone.

[86:17]

Without this experience, you're lost.

[86:21]

We can't be a 10%

[86:23]

SDA.

[86:26]

God wants 100%

[86:29]

Christians.

[86:32]

This namby-pamby prayer

[86:36]

must stop.

[86:38]

This horrid prayer needs to stop.

[86:42]

Take the 9-month journey together.

[86:46]

You'll find your Christian experience

[86:49]

will grow. You'll be stronger in Jesus.

[86:53]

If you wake up in the morning,

[86:56]

you decide to take the challenge. I'm

[87:00]

going to begin to pray five times a day.

[87:03]

Remember, when noon time comes,

[87:06]

you can simply step aside for a minute.

[87:10]

Just step aside for a minute.

[87:13]

It's a principle about the Sabbath.

[87:17]

You don't work a secular job and still

[87:19]

say you're keeping the Sabbath.

[87:22]

So, when it's time for communion, you

[87:24]

step away from the job.

[87:26]

Take a bathroom a restroom break.

[87:29]

Just talk to God.

[87:31]

How long? I don't know.

[87:35]

It's how long you need to receive

[87:39]

strength.

[87:40]

Then you go back to your job.

[87:42]

Set your alarm clock. Don't you have a

[87:44]

phone? His phone is dead. Set your alarm

[87:47]

clock.

[87:52]

And at 3:00 p.m., when the alarm goes

[87:55]

off, what?

[87:57]

You look at the time.

[87:59]

Step aside.

[88:00]

Just you and Jesus.

[88:03]

Is that point clear, my friends?

[88:05]

Is that point clear?

[88:06]

You go back to your job. How I don't

[88:08]

know how long.

[88:10]

But watch what happens now. Let's say

[88:12]

between 3:00 p.m.

[88:14]

and 6:00 p.m. in the evening when you

[88:17]

pray. Let's say at 3:00 p.m. you prayed.

[88:20]

And while you're on your way home at

[88:22]

5:00 p.m.

[88:24]

you end up in a car accident.

[88:29]

What if you died?

[88:33]

THE GOOD NEWS is you spent time with

[88:36]

Jesus

[88:40]

before you died.

[88:46]

BUT, PASTOR, THE INTERVALS ARE TOO

[88:48]

CLOSE.

[88:51]

9:00 A.M.

[88:53]

Prayer time again?

[88:55]

But, I just prayed. WHAT?

[88:58]

IF THAT IS YOUR MENTALITY, are you ready

[89:01]

for heaven?

[89:06]

ARE YOU READY FOR HEAVEN?

[89:13]

IT'S MY EXPERIENCE.

[89:15]

IT'S MY TESTIMONY. I'M SHARING WITH YOU.

[89:17]

LET'S TAKE THE 9-MONTH JOURNEY TOGETHER.

[89:23]

AND WHAT HAPPENS IS YOU grow to love

[89:26]

Christ more.

[89:27]

And what happens is as you're praying

[89:30]

early in the morning, 9:00 a.m., 12:00

[89:33]

noon, 3:00 p.m., sunset, what happens is

[89:38]

you feel surrounded with holy angels.

[89:45]

YOU'RE IN CONSTANT COMMUNICATION WITH

[89:48]

HEAVEN. [screaming]

[89:52]

I HEAR SOME PREACHERS READ EARLY

[89:55]

WRITINGS, READ VOLUME NINE, page 14

[89:58]

THROUGH PAGE 16 WHEN THE SUNDAY LAW IS

[90:01]

PASSED

[90:02]

AND GOD'S PEOPLE ARE SEALED.

[90:05]

And then comes persecution. We're told

[90:08]

we will walk in the light streaming from

[90:11]

heaven. AND THERE'LL BE DIRECT

[90:14]

COMMUNICATION BETWEEN EARTH AND HEAVEN.

[90:18]

AND I'VE ALWAYS WONDERED HOW CAN we have

[90:22]

that spiritual experience if we pray

[90:25]

five times a day?

[90:28]

Every day.

[90:29]

There angels surrounding us.

[90:33]

Our sinful father.

[90:35]

Every day we have on the whole armor of

[90:38]

God.

[90:39]

EVERY DAY WE ARE CONNECTED.

[90:42]

EVERY DAY WE breathe the atmosphere of

[90:46]

heaven. UNTIL PRAYER BECOMES THE BREATH

[90:50]

of the soul.

[90:53]

Lord, TEACH US TO PRAY.

[90:57]

WE CAN BE SO

[91:00]

YOU WON'T FEAR ANY SON OF THE LAW. YOU

[91:03]

WON'T FEAR PERSECUTION BECAUSE YOU ARE

[91:06]

SURROUNDED WITH HOLY ANGELS.

[91:10]

AND SISTER WHITE'S FAVORITE song was

[91:13]

there angels hovering around.

[91:16]

There angels hovering around. There

[91:20]

angels There angels There angels

[91:23]

hovering around to the new JERUSALEM

[91:28]

to the new JERUSALEM

[91:31]

TO THE NEW THE NEW the new Jerusalem to

[91:35]

the new Jerusalem. WE CAN BE SURROUNDED

[91:39]

WITH holy angels.

[91:42]

AND LIKE ENOCH, WE CAN BREATHE THE

[91:44]

ATMOSPHERE of heaven.

[91:47]

WE KNOW CHRIST AS A FRIEND.

[91:49]

>> [clears throat]

[91:51]

>> NOT KNOWING CHRIST just a theory.

[91:56]

It's a simple appeal.

[91:58]

Who today understood this message?

[92:02]

If you did, raise your hand right now.

[92:06]

And those who raised their hand, stand

[92:07]

to your feet right now.

[92:14]

It's a simple appeal.

[92:16]

Don't leave this place until you have

[92:20]

committed fully your life to Jesus.

[92:25]

At such a time as this, God called this

[92:29]

meeting

[92:30]

in Kingston. At such a time as this.

[92:35]

This might be the last opportunity you

[92:37]

have to make your calling and election

[92:40]

sure for Jesus.

[92:42]

Tomorrow is not promised.

[92:44]

It's not promised.

[92:46]

Do you now

[92:48]

commit and recommit your life to Christ?

[92:55]

Don't look at those who are standing.

[92:58]

Look at yourself.

[93:00]

Lord, teach me to pray.

[93:02]

Give me

[93:04]

that experience.

[93:06]

And as this song

[93:08]

is sung,

[93:09]

I want you all to meditate upon the

[93:12]

words.

[93:13]

At this time, you may reverently take

[93:16]

your seat.

[93:17]

>> [music]

[93:28]

[music]

[93:47]

>> Draw [singing] me nearer,

[93:55]

[93:58]

[93:59]

to the cross [music]

[94:02]

[94:03]

Thou has

[94:15]

[94:16]

[94:36]

>> [music]

[94:38]

[singing]

[94:42]

[music]

[94:44]

>> I am Thine, [singing] O Lord.

[94:50]

I have heard

[94:52]

>> [music]

[94:53]

>> Thy voice,

[94:55]

>> [singing]

[94:55]

>> and it

[94:56]

[94:59]

Thy

[95:00]

[95:10]

But I long

[95:13]

to rise

[95:15]

in the arms of faith,

[95:19]

[music and singing]

[95:20]

and be closer,

[95:27]

drawn

[95:31]

to Thee.

[95:39]

>> [music]

[95:40]

>> Consecrate

[95:43]

[96:40]

HAST

[96:45]

[96:51]

[music]

[99:00]

>> Draw me nearer.

[99:03]

Lord,

[99:06]

here is your nugget. Everybody, please

[99:08]

note it.

[99:10]

Lord, teach us to pray

[99:13]

as John taught his disciples.

[99:18]

Which scripture

[99:20]

shows how John taught his disciples to

[99:23]

pray?

[99:25]

Find me that text. I'm looking for it. I

[99:28]

can't find it.

[99:30]

If you do, share it with me.

[99:33]

But I'll tell you this.

[99:35]

I found two scriptures

[99:38]

that confirm everything you heard today.

[99:41]

Number one,

[99:43]

in whose power and spirit did John the

[99:47]

Baptist come?

[99:49]

God's, of course. God's, but in the

[99:52]

spirit and power of whom? Elijah.

[99:56]

Put down 1 Kings 18

[100:00]

and verse 36.

[100:02]

The Bible says,

[100:04]

Elijah

[100:06]

prayed at the time of the evening

[100:11]

sacrifice.

[100:14]

Sunset.

[100:15]

What time? Sunset.

[100:18]

And if Elijah is the forerunner

[100:22]

of John the Baptist, so whatever Elijah

[100:25]

did,

[100:27]

John the Baptist did.

[100:30]

And if you pray at the evening

[100:32]

sacrifice,

[100:34]

you're praying at the beginning of the

[100:36]

day.

[100:37]

Do you understand?

[100:42]

If I had asked you,

[100:45]

"Do you pray at the beginning of each

[100:47]

day?"

[100:48]

Some would say, "Yes."

[100:50]

If I asked a second question, "What time

[100:53]

is that?"

[100:54]

You would have said, "Early in the

[100:56]

morning."

[100:58]

But aren't you Bible students?

[101:01]

When does the day begin?

[101:05]

When does the biblical day begin?

[101:09]

Sunset evening.

[101:12]

Mercy.

[101:14]

So, the evening and the morning were the

[101:17]

first day.

[101:20]

And John the Baptist and Elijah prayed

[101:23]

at what time? Evening sacrifice, the

[101:26]

beginning of the day.

[101:28]

Second scripture, "Lord, teach us to

[101:31]

pray

[101:32]

as John the Baptist taught his

[101:35]

disciples."

[101:36]

And if you begin, you must finish.

[101:41]

Since Elijah began at the evening

[101:43]

sacrifice, if he began, he must what?

[101:47]

Finish. So, from evening to evening

[101:53]

celebrate your Sabbath.

[101:55]

And from evening to evening, you pray to

[101:59]

God daily.

[102:02]

And the way you pray from Sunday to

[102:06]

Friday will show if you're a Sabbath

[102:09]

keeper.

[102:11]

Merciful Father.

[102:13]

Because you pray from evening to

[102:15]

evening, Sunday to Friday.

[102:19]

So, now you celebrate your Sabbath from

[102:22]

evening to evening, sunset to sunset,

[102:26]

Friday to Sabbath. Is that point clear?

[102:29]

Last scripture, Luke chapter 1 verse 8

[102:34]

through verse 10.

[102:35]

What was the name of John the Baptist's

[102:38]

father?

[102:39]

His name was Zacharias.

[102:43]

Zacharias was priest.

[102:46]

And Zacharias

[102:48]

burnt incense

[102:51]

at the time of incense, and the people

[102:54]

were praying without OUTSIDE AT THE TIME

[103:00]

OF INCENSE. What does incense mean IN

[103:02]

THE BIBLE?

[103:04]

PRAYER.

[103:06]

SO, THE FATHER OF JOHN THE BAPTIST

[103:09]

taught the people IN HIS CHURCH

[103:13]

TO PRAY AT THE times of incense, to pray

[103:17]

at THE TIMES OF PRAYER.

[103:19]

LIKE FATHER, LIKE

[103:22]

LIKE FATHER, LIKE

[103:24]

LIKE SON?

[103:27]

SO, SINCE FATHER TAUGHT THE PEOPLE TO

[103:29]

PRAY AT the time

[103:32]

OF INCENSE, THE TIMES

[103:35]

OF PRAYER. SO JOHN THE BAPTIST taught

[103:38]

his disciples to pray AT THE TIMES OF

[103:42]

INCENSE, THE TIMES OF PRAYER.

[103:45]

Evening to evening,

[103:47]

five times a day. Lord, teach us to pray

[103:52]

as John the Baptist. You will know when

[103:56]

you hear the John the Baptist message.

[103:59]

Today you received your foundation. Let

[104:03]

us know what? Let's build by God's

[104:06]

grace.

[104:08]

You cannot say sincerely you came here

[104:11]

today and received no substance.

[104:14]

If you say that, you are bearing false

[104:16]

witness. You're a liar.

[104:21]

I received a blessing. Did you receive a

[104:24]

blessing today?

[104:28]

At this time we're going to pray

[104:30]

and then we get instructions for our

[104:32]

fellowship lunch. Let's pray.

[104:39]

Father in heaven,

[104:47]

thank you for gracing us with your

[104:49]

presence today.

[104:52]

Elijah didn't shout in prayer.

[104:56]

He prayed earnestly.

[105:00]

Prayed to you as if he was talking to

[105:03]

his friend the savior.

[105:05]

And the rain,

[105:07]

the fire descended.

[105:10]

May the Holy Spirit

[105:13]

May the Holy Spirit

[105:16]

fall afresh

[105:18]

on every sincere person in this hall

[105:22]

right now.

[105:23]

Bring revival. Bring reformation.

[105:27]

Give us more love for you. It's to love

[105:31]

we will surrender all to thee.

[105:33]

Those who are not yet in the true

[105:36]

church, the SDA movement, may they come

[105:39]

in. May they leave Sunday worship and

[105:42]

leave no day worship and come to your

[105:45]

true day of worship

[105:47]

before it's too late.

[105:50]

And for the rest of us, may we remain

[105:52]

faithful.

[105:55]

Death before dishonor.

[105:58]

We thank you for your love. We thank you

[105:59]

for your mercies.

[106:01]

May we continue on the 9-month journey.

[106:06]

We send this prayer to you in the most

[106:09]

holy place of the heavenly sanctuary.

[106:11]

Accept us.

[106:13]

In the name of Jesus Christ we pray.

[106:17]

And those who are no longer sin addicts

[106:20]

said, Amen.

[106:22]

Amen.

[106:30]

Amen.

[106:31]

Amen.

[106:39]

Amen.
