In this video, I am going to share with you 4
things that are best for complete hair care. Shampoo, conditioner, hair oil, hair mask or a
hair serum, all will be check for you, if you have just these 4 things in your grooming cabinet.
Even though, there are many natural ingredients
around us but while selecting these 4 my focus
was on 4 things. First and most importantly, they should be extremely effective. And I can assure
you that using them just once, you can feel them at par with their commercial counterparts. Second,
they should be easy and practical to use. Thirdly,
they should be easily available near you. And
finally, they should not rip your pockets as most commercial products do. So if you are
tired of falling hair, premature grey hair, dandruff or you just want to maintain your long
and healthy hair this is the video for you. So
without any further delay, let’s get started.
Hello Friends! Welcome to Fit Tuber. If I have to tell you just one thing that can almost instantly
take the health of your hair to that next level, I would say bhringraj powder. In Ayurvedic
scriptures, Bhringraj is called Kesharaj which
means the ruler of hair. And why just Ayurveda,
even modern studies vouch for its amazing benefits for hair. Suffering from hair fall we often tend
to seek refuge in the Minoxidil solution but the scientific perception changed after 2008 when in
a study done on rats, bhringraj oil was not only
found to be more effective in reducing hair fall
than 2% Minoxidil solution but it also opened up more hair follicles in the subjects. Its only
after this study that you see bhringraj based hair care products being intensively marketed..
But making an effective bhringraj hair oil at
home is a cakewalk. Its literally easier than
making maggi. In a kadhai, put 200 ml of coconut oil and 1 tablespoon of bhringraj powder. Now
just let it cook for 20 minutes on a low flame while you can watch your favourite series. That’s
it. Turn the flame off, cover it and let it cool.
Then whenever you get time, strain and transfer
it into a hair oil bottle and keep it in place of this crap. Use it like a normal hair oil and
witness those new hair follicles opening up. Do you know that bhringraj powder is naturally very
high in vitamin E? This is why it can be used as
a hair growth serum. In a pan, take 600 ml water.
Add 1 tablespoon of bhringraj powder in it. And let it boil on a low flame for 15-20 minutes. The
quantity of water will reduce to almost 1/3rd. Now strain it and store it in a spray bottle. 1 hour
before taking bath apply it on your hair and then
wash normally. Shampoo isn’t required. This 10 Rs
water based serum reduce frizzy hair better than those expensive silicon based hair serums that
damage the hair follicles. But to believe it, you need to first try it. Bhringraj powder is
not only a natural DHT blocker but it has some
special plant compounds that nourish the scalp and
strengthens the roots. Which is why, my favourite use of bhringraj powder is as a hair mask. You
just need 2 things. Bhringraj powder ofcourse and a carrier. If you have dry hair like me mix
bhringraj powder in curd. If you have oily scalp,
you can mix it in aloe vera gel and if you are
too lazy to do any of this simply mix it in water. Apply it evenly onto your hair. Make sure that you
also apply it on the scalp. Then let it nourish your hair for at least 20 minutes. Then you can
wash it off using a natural shampoo which shall
be revealed later in this video. In just one wash,
you can feel the softness and silkiness in the hair. Most hair masks in the Indian market are
not only expensive but are designed to provide an instant shine but damage the hair follicles if
used frequently. Why waste money on them when you
can make such an effective hair mask with just
2 ingredients. Bhringraj powder is probably the best thing one can use for hair. 100 grams of it
can be bought online for 250 Rs while the same quantity is available offline at just Rs 100.
Anyway, it works and that’s what’s important.
Then keep in mind that how strong or weak
your hair will be, depends a lot on the shampoo that you use. So I think your hair
deserves not just India’s but world’s best shampoo and that is none other than Reetha
also known as Soapnut. As its name reveals,
its a nut from a tree that has soap in it. Reetha
contains saponins that remove excess oil and dirt from the scalp without stripping off the natural
oils. Without stripping off the natural oils. That’s exactly why it nourishes the hair roots
and doesn’t damage it like a heavily chemical
laden shampoo does. And why just for shampooing,
attributing to its impressive nutrient profile and antimicrobial nature reetha water wash has been
used as a remedy since ages to curb dandruff, prevent head lice and scalp itching. Having using
it myself for the past 2 years, even though it
doesn’t make that typical foam, I can bet that
it works wonders. That’s because its saponins are quite powerful to de-oil and cleanse the hair
effectively. So as compared to other shampoos, be sure that you need very less reetha. And if
you compare the price, other shampoos will run
away faster than Usain bolt. Dried soapnuts can
be bought at Rs 300 for Kg. No need to de seed them. Directly grind them into a powder and your
2 years stock of shampoo is ready. I don’t think it can get better than this. If you don’t want
to grind them, no problem, you can buy reetha
powder directly from any grocery shop. That way
you will get it for Rs 60 for 200 grams. The only precaution that you should take while using reetha
is that it should not get into your eyes. Even though, its not harmful but it burns. Otherwise
its so natural that you can even eat it. Infact,
its a part of many Ayurvedic medicines. So its
time we get back to our roots and embrace this forgotten wonder. Even though reetha powder alone
is enough, if you want to you can even mix amla powder and shikakkai powder in equal quantities.
Keep it in a container in your washroom along
with a small bowl. Everytime you wish to
shampoo, just take a little of reetha powder, mix water and apply as a normal shampoo. Once
you get used to it, you will turn your back to head and shoulders and things like that.
Let’s talk about the next best thing for
hair. There is one oil which if you apply on
your eyelashes, they begin to grow. If you start applying this oil on your beard, your beard
becomes dense. And if you apply it on your head, your hair growth can increase by as much as
5 times. Any guesses which oil I am talking
about? Yes, you are right. It is castor oil.
There are so many people who have transformed their hair health by using just this one thing.
But there are two problems with castor oil. One that it has a weird smell and second that its
very dense. Almost impractical to use it alone.
But both these issues get resolved if you mix it
with another oil. I feel castor oil blends well with coconut oil. In a bottle, mix castor oil and
coconut oil in 1:4 ratio. That means in 10 ml of castor oil put 40 ml of coconut oil. If you have
very dry rough hair or you have damaged your hair,
may be because of overuse of products. Or you
simply want to increase the growth of your hair, I recommend that you use this oil as your regular
hair oil. To experience its enhanced benefit, once a week you can evenly massage this oil
on your scalp and leave it overnight. In the
morning you can wash it off using reetha powder.
Castor oil mixed with aloe vera gel is one of my all time favourite hair masks. Simply mix them in
equal quantities and you get this creamy looking hair mask. Apply and keep it for at least 30
minutes and then wash off using reetha powder.
In just one application, you will notice your hair
shining. The scalp will get properly moisturised which will strengthen the roots. Castor oil is
easily available both online and offline. Online you can get 200 ml of it for Rs 180 while at a
chemist shop you can get Rs 100 ml for just Rs 60.
Then I want to talk about one food which
is not just a food but a potent supplement for hair. Its curry leaves. Curry leaves have 3
things that make it a superfood for hair. First, it is rich in B vitamins and special antioxidants
that are scientifically noted to increase the
production of melanin in the hair follicles. So
for someone suffering from premature greying of hair, curry leaves is a great addition to diet.
Secondly, curry leaves are a great source of amino acids. If you see, hair is nothing but
protein and protein is made up of amino acids.
So when you eat curry leaves you are eating
the easily absorbable form of protein which helps strengthening the hair roots. This is the
reason surveys show that people in south India who use curry leaves for the tadka are face lesser
hair problems. Third curry leaves are a digestive
aid. And according to Ayurveda, the root of
hair problems lies in the stomach. In fact, there have been numerous studies which prove that
if one has good quality bacteria in the gut, not just hair fall stops but hair growth increases.
And cury leaves are anti bacterial which reduces
the bad bacteria in the gut. Best thing about
curry leaves is that there are versatile ways by which you can include curry leaves in your diet.
One is simply to chew fresh curry leaves before breakfast. There are comments that show how well
it has worked for people. Then you can add curry
leaves in making chutneys. You can put them in
rice. Some recipes like poha, upma, curd rice and kadhi naturally call for curry leaves. Buttermilk
is tempered with curry leaves. In the last video, we talked about how one can add things in atta
to make it more nutritious. For hair, one can add
curry leaf powder in atta. Its easily available
online as well as offline Not only curry leaves are flavourful but they are also a protector of
your hair. Walk around and you can easily find a curry leaf plant in your vicinity. Make use of
them and they will make your hair look better.
Now before we wrap up, I want to talk about 5
common mistakes that people on a daily basis that damage their hair. First mistake which is
also the crux of this video is to try and avoid using too many products on your hair. Most of
these products have strong chemicals that damage
the hair in long run. Second mistake that leads to
hair breakage is heat. So always try to keep your hair covered when you are out in the afternoon.
Never pour hot water on the head. Also, keep the use of hot hair blow dryers to minimum. Then if
your hair is prone to breakage, you should avoid
combing wet hair or vigorously rubbing them
off to dry. Fourth common mistake that I see which leads to hair problems is that some people
never oil their hair. If you never oil the hair, be sure that your hair roots will get weaker.
So avoid these 4 mistakes and start using
these 4 things. Bhringaraj powder can
be used to make an effective hair oil, hair serum and a hair mask. Reetha is the ultimate
hair shampoo. Castor oil blended with another oil like coconut oil is a natural hair growth oil.
And curry leaves act as a natural supplement for
the hair. Try to include it in your diet as often
as you can. I would also recommend that you check out part one of this series where I talked about
5 best things for skin. Talking more about skin, if you are looking for a toxin free face wash in

Bhringraj powder can be cooked in coconut oil by heating 1 tablespoon of powder in 200 ml coconut oil on low flame for 20 minutes to make a hair oil that nourishes the scalp and strengthens hair roots, reducing hair fall. Alternatively, it can be boiled in water to create a hair serum applied before bathing to reduce frizz. Regular application of these preparations promotes healthier, stronger hair.
Reetha contains natural saponins that gently cleanse hair without stripping away natural oils, helping maintain scalp moisture. Its antimicrobial properties reduce dandruff, scalp itch, and lice. Using powdered reetha mixed with water as a shampoo provides an effective, chemical-free cleansing method; it can be combined with amla and shikakai powders for enhanced benefits.
Mix castor oil with coconut oil in a 1:4 ratio to dilute the density and reduce the strong smell, then massage the blend into your scalp once a week. For deeper nourishment, leave the oil on overnight before washing it off. Alternatively, mix equal parts castor oil and aloe vera gel to create a hair mask, applying it for 30 minutes to strengthen roots and boost hair growth.
Curry leaves are rich in B vitamins and antioxidants that increase melanin production, which helps combat premature greying. They also provide essential amino acids that strengthen hair protein. Consuming fresh curry leaves daily or incorporating them into meals enhances hair pigmentation and overall hair quality naturally.
Avoid overusing chemical-laden hair products, excessive exposure to heat or hot water, combing wet hair vigorously, and harsh towel drying, as these actions weaken hair roots and cause damage. Additionally, skipping regular oiling can lead to dry scalp and hair fall. Maintaining a gentle routine complements the benefits of natural products for optimal hair health.
Yes, these natural products are affordable and easily accessible; for example, 100 g of bhringraj powder costs around Rs 100 offline, reetha powder is about Rs 60 for 200 g, castor oil is Rs 60 for 100 ml offline, and curry leaves can be grown at home or bought fresh inexpensively. Using these products reduces the need for costly chemical treatments while providing effective hair nourishment.
