so i'm pandora my name is wilson i'm 27 this year uh hi i'm laurence i'm 35 years old
a father of a two-year-old girl i would like to be financially independent as soon as maybe like when
i'm 40 or maybe when i'm 50 depending on how much money i can make now and save and invest to be able to like take care
of myself my family as well and and basically um have my own pot of gold for safety yeah i do not need a lot of money
but i just need to have sufficient to have a roof over my head and for my family i invest for my retirement i
invest from my future farm that i'm going to live with you know some little piggies and 10 dogs specifically for me
as a family it's about education for children it's about
making the early steps for overall retirement planning it is to make sure that if something god fit happens to us
that me my family members are safe and we have something to fall back on i want to be inflation because we all know that
money sitting in idle just basically means it'll rot over time right i've started investing a couple years
ago i probably should have done it much earlier i invest in some u.s stocks as well as mainly robo advisors in the u.s
market and also in the china market i've invested in a number of financial assets and classes obviously it spans
across stocks bonds etfs and also to some degree some cryptos [Music]
i want to invest in companies that has the same values as me because then i believe that
the investments that i'm putting in actually goes towards something that i believe in it's helping the world to
become a better place so i mainly believe in healthcare i guess for like healthcare specific it would be pharma
more like biotech and i feel like with you know a lot of new innovative technologies coming in um
the area of like being able to prevent or cure rare diseases would uh really come through in the next 10 years for
now my focus is actually into the china tech companies so an example will be alibaba tencent so they are the mega or
mega companies within china itself and then for us to directly invest in them we actually have to go through a lot of
restrictions so in order to make keep things easier for myself also actually i just invest into the etf
such as k-web to actually let me expose into the china market my interest has now grown more towards an income
related to financial products something that takes a little bit of the the sting of perhaps the volatility and provides
perhaps a bit more of a predictable passive income stream that is something that would value much
more now as i'm planning for things like education things like growing up kids school fees
all of these things that come with it [Music]
