Exploring Grace, Law, and Enlightenment in Gnostic Teachings

Shabbat shalom. It's awesome and wonderful to be present with all of you

in the pure natural spontaneous presence of Mashiach. your radiant awareness

and to have this day of rest, remembrance of rest

in the one. Hallelujah. Let's take a moment.

for being engathered in deep remembrance of our Lord, gathered into the supernal sun that

shines within our hearts, within the hearts of our holy soul, our divine enlightened nature.

And in the awareness of that radiance surrounding us on all sides

with a prayer of the light of the true cross. A holy spirit going out to people and

land this very day touching many awakening So in oneness unity

let us invoke and pray. Elim Y

M holding this space. this immeasurable sphere in you holy

one. So we pray streaming blessings

upon all living beings, grace and mercy, compassion and peace.

Praying for deep healing of body and soul. Praying for radical deliverance

even from the darkest of spaces. Praying for divine illumination, awakening

and in gathering of many living beings this day into great resurrection and ascension,

establishing in the way, setting in the path. We pray, holy eternal one. So may it be

so holding this remembrance of an unity of living moving

having being in you. Amen. Come to this

remembrance this day and be open and free. Hallelujah.

Amen. Well, having talked deeply for a couple of Shabbats

regarding the sacred, the mystery of grace.

It seems good to extend our contemplation into the law

and and and contemplate the intersection of grace and law. And this is a very important

uh subject innostic cabala innostic gospel and a nastic understanding of the way

things are in the reality of our experience in relative reality.

They're very powerful. Lord Yoshua in canonical gospels says something very interesting.

He says I have not come to negate the law or the prophets but to fulfill.

And essentially it goes on to say not one letter of the law, not one stroke of a letter of the law

will be removed until all is accomplished. And yet we know

Lord Yoshua as this embodiment of supernal grace and awakened

enlightenment. And I suppose there could be a couple of

contemplations on what all is accomplishment. Some might interpret it, oh

that's the resurrection and ascension when all was accomplished. But of course there there's only one

difficulty with that. It's like, yeah, but all living beings didn't get enlightened. Then

the entire world didn't get enlightened. So apparently all's not accomplished. And well, many,

many, many generations later, here we are training and practicing in the pathway

of realization, enlightenment. Suppose another could be a big

projection into the future of you know end of days and fruition of second coming then everything's accomplished.

Yeah. Well, that'd be fine if one thought that the Earth was the center of everything out

there and there were no other worlds systems in the galaxy, let alone the entire

universe. So, if you feel me, it's like h that is

interesting. But of course for Gnostics, yeah, the law remains in a place until

all is accomplished. Oh yeah. The dawn of enlightenment in each individual.

Until that there is the law. And no, I'm not speaking about outward

things detailed by Moses um and 63013

commandments, you know, in rabbitical law. No,

speaking about something universal, a law of causality, of cause and effect

in a word karma, something universal in the play of consciousness, mind

consciousness. until the realization of the intrinsic nature.

The spacious radiant awareness that is the ultimate essence, nature truth

of me, you all living beings. this emptiness, luminous, clarity, energy.

Yeah. Till that and here it's also very interesting

because gnostics, you know, have no conception of a a vengeful judgmental god.

They have no conception of of some deity

God that you please or displeas and you please it goes well for you. You

displease and oh boy not good. No.

If only more good Christians could really, if they want to get hyper lit, you know, literal in their Bible, get

hyper literal, could could really read the often quoted saying for of coming of of

of Mashiach. For God so loved the world. And we'll notice it doesn't say for God so loved the saints and righteous

or chosen ones. The world meaning all. And world's really lovely because that's all living beings. It's not just

necessarily humans. But it's beautiful. But from that passage, Lord Yeshua goes on in in in his in his

moment of teaching, revealing, preaching to say Messiah wasn't sent to judge.

There no judgment in Messiah. But then he clarifies but the judgment is this

that there are those habituated to darkness who love the darkness pursuit of the darkness

don't want to come into the light because deeds might be exposed. And there are those

habituated towards the light wish to come into the light so that it may be seen that their deeds

are in God or truth

enlightenment. Why by golly gosh that's a direct statement of karma.

The judgment's karma. It isn't in a holy eternal one light continuum infinite light.

No in this everything's known in its innate perfection.

Pure and present from the very beginning. never tainted, traced, stained, marked,

corrupted, diminished, in any way changed by karma. In fact, when deeply understood,

it's not increased by positive karma either. So not dangered by sin, negative karma,

not increased it. No. So this whole idea of of of

God judging, mash judging just doesn't occur in a gnostic gospel. The judgment is purely a universal truth

on a a a level of consciousness and energy of cause and effect. And it it runs very deep

because gnostics also carry an awareness of reincarnation and countless lives and

uh habituation that can be well engraved established

in a certain layer holding layer of consciousness of habitual patterns

of of of of thought, speech, action, all manner of garlic seeds which any time

the conditions necessary for ripening that that stir and move

those seeds stir and move and there's the play of the back from

previous gods. Uh, whether pleasant or unpleasant

in in all manner of things, as well as a vast matrix of intersecting and intersecting karmic web where well,

we're all interconnected and interdependent. So, Yeah, there's there's the

karma of a given mind conscious soul stream, but then an intersection with collectives and and

other beings and it gets very interesting. That's all I could say. It gets very interesting.

What's also deeply fascinating is that in all wisdom traditions that actually teach a

a a a self-realization or enlightenment. There isn't a a an essential teaching that

if one knows the empty illusurary quality of self I

if self-grasping is released and its attachment aversion is released

the realization that there never was a doer as such. Then there's no karma.

None at all. And if we listen and hear Lord Yua's teachings and frequently at various

points in epistles, there is this whole call calling out of no longer being the doer.

But we know as as people who do a good bit of invocation, deep prayer, meditation, uh

we we understand that relaxing this uh self-cherishing, self-grasping

and the attachment inversions uh process. We we understand that

and and really coming to direct perception of the truth of self and so

self-nowledge of the truth of its emptiness and luminosity

and energy. But but but the emptiness as that truth of this self is no self so and yet

sense of self arises. How amazing how magical. Wow. Yes.

So so here's this play. Now we also know

that innate to the intrinsic nature of mind which means enlightened mind are all divine

enlightened qualities, powers, activities completely innate and completely innate

happens to be from the very beginning unconditional love, boundless Compassion that is that is the true

bliss of mind consciousness soul. Great bliss with a profound awareness

of deep interdependence, interconnectedness, oneness, unity with all.

Oh holy one, holy shak this presence.

Yes. And we understand in relative reality from states and conditions from our

states and conditions. There is this practice this training to realize to have the direct perception

experiential knowledge of and so this realization and so the law remains in effect.

Yeah. Because if I don't train my mind in meditation

and deep prayer and well this unconditional love

and isn't just going to spontaneously pop out. No, no. There there there there is a

play of cause and effect and and actually it's among the things in beginning perception of which uh we

would apply a deep contemplative meditation to just like impermanence and and uh and co-arising and so on to to

actually see the truth for oursel through our mental consciousness and its intelligence.

which isn't a full realization, but it certainly is an opening toward and setting up the conditions for

direct perception, an actual realization. And we know it's good

even though in later practice we drop that and are moving in another way as as we come to

the meditative and state intended from the very beginning. So there is this and at the same time

we will hear Nazi masters Zadakim and so on speak deeply

about from early on the need for the generation of compassion and empathy

and habituating mind and thought and speech. Speech and

action towards kindness, compassion,

generosity and the generation deeply of a desire

for full awakened alignment to actually be fully empowered.

to help others to help all living beings realize their enlightened nature

and experience enlightenment liberation. Because when we meditate upon Beirut and the relative reality in the unlightened

condition, we clearly see oh pervasive sour suffer a great bondage. We see that and we see the play of cause

and effect and we see in the ignorance and the separation how it becomes so hard for us to connect the dots between

this and where it goes and and what it what it causes experientially. We understand

and and of course it grows compassion more and more you know it's like Yeshua on the cross father forgive them for

they do not know what they are doing they don't really see the law they don't see cause and effect that justice and

don't understand how work and of course with with this focus On generational

compassion comes a seeking to indeed

be inward deep inward to be in the love to be in the light and the presence of the Lord and

to seek to cultivate all of the divine qualities, attributes

and activities. So the fortitude and the patience and the discipline

and the commabiding and the witnessing and the wisdom

and the merit and the surrender. there and right dominion and and and and

righteousness and faith and devotion. Yes.

Yes. And yes, not in the sense of a force. We we we've been talking a lot about well

no we understand force marchway and and the whole force headon stuff

over overt tense overtight just just doesn't work and just creates more obstructions just as sure as too loosy

loose you and not mindful doesn't go anywhere. No, it's this this middle way that that is deeply relaxed, open,

playful. So that yeah, we do strive with the spirit

and striving with the spirit means moving really with the spirit uh in this relaxed way

to manifest divine enlightened qualities. And so on one hand

being inward and deeper still we're accumulating wisdom. On this other hand cultivating these

qualities and activities merit i.e A positive karma that helps

generate the conditions for a greater awakening for a greater revelation and realization

if you're feeling me. And of course from our state it's completely necessary. We've been had some tendencies for for

for really countless lives that that can be very strong. So, yeah, we we kind of do passionately,

hence the word strive. Um um move to move to shift recognizing the distinction between virtue and

non-verirtue of of course walking here. They need to know that even if one comes into being

as a crazy wisdom master, they're still aware of that and they're still aware of it in engagement with people around

them. Of course they are cuz that is reality as it is here.

It's what's happening with us living beings in in the unknown condition. Yeah. payroll.

So yes, yes, we do. And this is wisdom. This is wise.

Why? Why? Why? Why? Why do I want to, you know, keep on overly with jealousy or with anger or with pride or with

dullness or with laziness or with Yeah. getting lost in all kinds of not so good craving and desire and who

uh no cuz it's it's it's not desirable. There is this play of cause and effect

can see exactly where to go and exactly where where where where bring me in the moment inside.

you know, folks like that, you know, always talking about evil doing and going to hell in the

afterlife. It's like, oh, already in in any inner experience of hell in intense moments of anger, rage, hate,

or powerful jealousy. though pride and arrogance. And of course, when we get more inward,

we're beginning to realize, whoa, this is like this isn't just cause and effect. This

is like very immediate. In fact, which is the sinking of the seed for the later arising in other ways like

afterlife states. or dream time. Yes.

And yes, grace is intersecting and there's this this innate wisdom that that yes, there's this grace, there's

this immeasurable mercy and compassion. Then there's the truth of the various states and conditions of

beings and the various measures that can actually be received without maybe causing more harm or

overwhelming. Yeah. or or simply not wanting.

I mean, I'm sure most of us know times in our lives where no one knows me and boy we we were were

re we acting, you know, not exactly very lovable and and pushing away and, you know, not even

trusting it. Yeah, I don't believe it. these things. Oh, and the sternness of compassion.

Huh? When we actually become aware of Oh, yeah. Oh, wild monkey mind. Rabbit monkey mind

keeps bringing you the birth and which comes to the death and rabbid little sense of humor goes a long ways.

So yes, it's very good to look into the truth of of karma cause and effect and

not with a heaviness actually. It's part of being free.

It's part of being open. It's part of opening. Oh yeah. to karma.

No, no. When out inside of you is judging

inside. No wonder Yeshua says, "Judge not, least you will be judged." Right?

or if you don't forgive others, you won't be forgiven. One deeply wise,

holy enlightened one. Lord Yeshua was and is. I suspect that's enough words from me.
