Overview: Monday Campaigns – AI-Powered Email Marketing for Modern Teams
In this 30-minute deep dive, Gilad, Product Manager at Monday.com, walks through the core features of Monday Campaigns , a new product designed to help marketing teams plan, execute, and analyze email campaigns with AI at its core. The conversation covers the product’s philosophy, hands-on demo, and key integrations with Monday’s CRM and work management tools.
Key Highlights
- AI-First Foundation: Campaigns is built with AI as a core component, not an add-on. The AI scans your digital presence (e.g., company URL) to extract brand assets, colors, logos, and fonts , then uses that context to generate complete email campaigns from a simple prompt. For more on AI-driven productivity, check out 10 Game-Changing AI Features in monday.com You Need to Know.
- Unified Platform: Consolidates email marketing, contact management, CRM insights, and analytics into one workspace, reducing tool fragmentation for marketers. This aligns with the broader platform vision discussed in monday.com Q1 2026 Updates: Campaigns, CRM, AI & Platform Features.
- High Scalability: Supports up to 100,000 contacts per board (soon 1 million) and sends up to 100,000 emails in a single blast using third-party deliverability providers (including private IP options).
🚀 Core Features (Step-by-Step Demo)
1. Campaign Builder with AI Assistance
- From Scratch or Templates: Choose a blank campaign or pre-built templates (e.g., holiday or seasonal designs).
- Drag-and-Drop Editor: Simple interface to add images, buttons, and text; supports personalization via contact board columns (e.g., first name).
- AI-Powered Generation: Enter a prompt like "Build a campaign about our new product" → AI automatically generates copy, subject lines, images, and CTA , all within your brand guidelines.
- Brand Asset Hub: Upload logos, colors, and images manually, or let AI extract them from your company URL.
2. Audience Management & Segmentation
- Marketing Contact Board (Monday board): Custom columns for industry, product interest, region, preferences, etc.
- Dynamic Segments: Create filters using AND/OR logic , e.g., "Region = EMEA AND Industry = Manufacturing OR Telecom" to target 47 out of 1000 contacts.
- CRM Sync: Import contacts from your CRM (automated, ongoing sync via automation) to keep sales and marketing aligned. This integration is a key reason to adopt the platform , see 4 Compelling Reasons Your Company Needs Monday.com Now.
- UTM Tracking: Built-in support for campaign tracking parameters.
3. Analytics & Campaign Insights
- Campaign Dashboard: View delivery stats, open rates, click-through rates, and individual recipient behavior.
- Drill-Down: Filter by engaged users (e.g., "all people who clicked") and take follow-up actions (e.g., assign to sales rep, send another email).
- Upcoming Feature: View all campaigns a contact has received alongside their CRM activity timeline (meetings, calls, etc.).
4. Automated Customer Journeys (Workflows)
- Event-Driven Automation: Example: When a contact’s status changes to "Attended" (after an event marked "Done"), trigger a one-day delay, then send a campaign about an upcoming event in Japan.
- Welcome Flows: On new subscription, automatically send campaigns based on preferences (e.g., product updates vs. marketing emails).
- No-Code Setup: Build conditional triggers using Monday’s workflow builder. For detailed tips on automating workflows, see 99 Monday.com Tips to Boost Productivity: Master Automation, CRM, AI & More.
💡 Why This Matters for Marketers
- Eliminates Tool Switching: No need to juggle Mailchimp, ChatGPT, Canva, and Google Analytics , everything is inside Monday.com.
- Reduces Manual Work: AI handles copywriting, design, and personalization, marketers only need to review and tweak.
- Improves Sales-Marketing Alignment: Shared contact data and CRM insights help both teams target the right audiences with consistent messaging.
- Scalable Deliverability: High-volume sending (100k+ in one go) with private IP options protects sender reputation.

❓ FAQ (Implied from Transcript)
- Q: Can I use my own email provider? <br> A: No , Campaigns uses a dedicated third-party sending service optimized for bulk marketing emails, not your personal Gmail or SMTP.
- Q: Is the AI training based on my company data? <br> A: Yes , it scans your URL, brand assets, and also pulls CRM insights (e.g., sales team’s best converting messages) to generate relevant campaigns. The Monday.com January 2026 Updates: Sidekick AI, Multi-Level Subitems & More post covers related AI features.
- Q: How do I get started? <br> A: Simply sign up for Monday Campaigns, connect your CRM board (or import contacts), and use the AI prompts to create your first campaign in under 90 seconds.
🎬 Final Takeaway
Monday Campaigns redefines email marketing by embedding AI into every step , from content creation to segmentation to delivery , all within the ecosystem your team already uses. For marketers looking to reduce tool complexity, automate repetitive tasks, and align with sales, this is a compelling upgrade.

Today I have with us a very special guest, Gil Ad from the monday.com team. He is the product manager in charge of
Monday campaigns. If you are not familiar with campaigns, it is one of Monday's newest products that helps
marketing teams send out emails, email blasts. I'm actually not going to jump into it because I'm going to hand it
over to Gilad. So Gilad, thank you so much for joining with us and why don't you tell us a little bit about yourself
and what you do at Monday. Hey Tara, thank you very much for having me. I'm very excited to be here. I heard a lot
about all the things that you write about and you share. So uh kudos to you. So I joined Monday around a year ago
with a mission to build like a really great marketing product that's part of uh the suite of products Monday is
building. I live in in London, have three kids. That's basically me. >> Okay. So tell us what campaigns is. Give
us like an overall and then we're going to very quickly jump into a deep dive into campaigns. So everyone can see what
it can do. >> Sure. So campaigns is built with a mission of helping marketeteers from the
aation all the way to execution and analyze their campaigns with AI. That's basically what we we want to do. We feel
and we research a lot about the field of marketeteers and what they can do and we think that there's a lot of potential of
helping them do their job with AI alongside them. This is the way we're building campaigns.
>> Awesome. Okay. Okay, so let's jump in see campaigns and I'm sure I'll have tons more questions while we're doing
that. >> This is the main page that you can land on, but basically uh it's here to help
you just set up the product. I'll just take you through what you can do, which the main thing is building campaigns. So
here you'll have the list of all your campaigns that you that you are building or or sent and and you can run through
them very quickly. The cool thing that we added here and we're going to invest in it more is the AI suggestions. So
once you sign up to Monday campaigns, we actually starting to research and scan your digital environment. So here we can
see that uh we sign up with monday.com as the company that is building these campaigns and automatically the AI is
starting to search for things that are relevant to Monday. So for example gets a bit insight about customer behavior
about competitor moves some market trends and so on and in the future you will also see here trends that are
coming from your CRM you can see here so we will also analyze things that are happening in your CRM product things
like what segments are converting the best what people are talking about and all will be here to help you as a
marketeteer manage better your pains >> I love that I I love that AI is really built out the foundation of this
product. Like knowing where the world is going and you know, you're not taking a product and then adding AI on top of it.
You're really like the base of this product is really with AI, which I think is amazing for so many companies that
are using Monday and they don't necessarily have the capabilities to build out a specific workflow, you know,
like a customized workflow where an AI bot can do something like this. And the fact that they have this directly within
campaigns I think is a huge value ad for a lot of people. >> Yeah, I totally agree. And when we
learned about this, you know, this whole industry and we interviewed marketeers, they told us that their biggest FOMO
every day is that something is happening in their industry and they don't know about it. So this is like one thing that
we knew that we can solve for them with AI and this is why we're doing this. And the fact that we are also getting
insight from your CRM is something that we understand about the relationship between marketeteers and sales people
that they really want to work together but each of them are like in a different thread different trajectory and it's
very hard for them to work together. So this is why we build this so they can can collaborate here. So would it be
that let's say you know within the CRM you hear like the customer pain points and then that could be something that
could be brought in as a potential campaign like kind of playing on those customer pain points to have an idea
that may help inspire or teach the customers like that's kind of the idea of how sales and marketing would work
together for this. >> Yes, exactly. So let's say your sales people are using some kind of messages
that always convert or like really explain the value of what you're selling in a great way that helps them convince
prospects to actually buy the product. So these are like you know their secret cards or playbook that they're using to
in their sales calls. But why won't like the marketing team to use this as well in their campaigns? That's something
that you know could be very helpful. And when we'll dive into this, we can give you the best messages that are relevant
to that exact segment. So if you are selling like services for around tech. So maybe the messages for companies that
are coming from the US are different from the messages that are coming from the UK. And these are the thing that
we're going to surface here. So you'll be able to act on it as a marketeteer. >> Love it. Love it. Okay. Let's see how
campaigns works. >> Sure. If I go here and I, you know, I want to start a campaign. So I can
create a campaign from scratch. It will take me through like the wizard of building a campaign. You can uh you know
pick one of the templates or design templates that are relevant that created by your team or if you want to uh have
some kind of a festive style let's say we also provide something that around the holiday and soon will be also about
Valentine but every here and there we'll provide you with really nice [clears throat]
templates so you can work with and once you use the template it will be automatically imported into the campaign
and then it's a very easy to go drag and drop edit editor where you can basically, you know, if you want to add
a button, if you want to add some kind of a another image or so on, everything can be added here and it's very
straightforward, very convenient to use. That's the the easy way or the regular way, let's say, to build a campaign. And
then you can pick like who's the audience, who's the sender, like if you want to write a subject, you can add the
first name of who's going to get it and so on >> or like pull the columns from the board.
>> Exactly. So I'll take you through the marketing contact board that we have, but basically all the information you
have about that specific contact, you can instill here. So I can say like hi and then first name for example,
>> right? >> And also we can pick like when to send it. And if you're using UTM tracking
then you can also set it up here. Everything >> I love that UTM tracking that for those
of you that are not familiar with UTM tracking. It's basically putting information into a specific link so that
way you know the details of like which campaign was set out because most people let's say send out a million campaigns
and they never know which email campaign or what whatever it can apply to any campaigns. So it's really cool that
that's part of this builder. I like that. >> Yeah, definitely. So that's something
that uh you know a lot of marketeteers that are working with the product told us to add it and we you know we listen
to it to them and happy to add it obviously. So this is how you build a campaign. But the cool thing is that you
can build a campaign from a prompt. So let's say help me build a campaign about our
new product, >> my new product. >> Thanks.
So here I'm just asking the AI to do this for me. So the AI has all the context because he lives inside my
marketing product. So all the contacts that I need regarding this you will automatically have and if I have like
things like tone of voice or brand colors or a logo or anything like that it will be automatically in the context
of that AI that is now building my campaign. It usually takes between let's say 30 to 90 seconds to build a campaign
and then I as a marketeteer I can work on top of it. for example, I can change the copy, I can add images, I can maybe
tweak the buttons and so on. So everything >> where do you upload that information
like your brand information and I'm assuming there's a place within campaigns that you can like train the AI
about who you are and what you guys do. >> Yeah, exactly. Let this work in the background and is now generating as you
can see. But your question is right on spot. So here I have my brand and assets. So I can start uploading
everything by myself. Like if I have a logo of the company or color that I want to use, I can start adding them here.
Also, if I like if I have like images that are very very important for me from a catalog or from shooting day, I can
have everything here. But if I don't have it and I don't really have the time to do that, I can ask AI to do this for
me. So let's ask him to extract >> it to pull it from your website. You mean?
>> Yeah, exactly. say let's see so now what the AI is doing it's going to my URL and start scanning it once he
it scans that it automatically understand what are my colors what are my fonts what are my logos and now he
asked me like is he on spot I'm picking my logo I can even choose another image if none of them are here and I can
upload it that's great all the colors of Monday are here that's our color plate And these are my assets. So it picked
like a Coca-Cola logo because this is one of the customers of Monday and so on. But I can start uploading more
images to it. When I go back to my campaigns, this one is still generating. But if my brand was
there prior to that, everything will be in place. >> You would have pulled it in. That's very
cool. >> Yeah. I just wanted to show you how it's being done with also the extraction
itself. So now I have the emails ready and it was not edited. It took like I think less than a minute. Uh now I get
an email about Monday campaigns. Monday campaigns run every campaign in one place and you know it it talks about it.
It added some images that are relevant for this. I repeat my uh core values. >> It even quoted where the image was from
which is important. >> Yeah. Yeah. And then you know I can schedule a demo as a contact that gets
this. But if I don't like something, I can always like tweak it. I can change the colors. I can add another button. So
everything, all the heavy lifting of building a campaign was done by the AI. And now I'm as a marketeteer. I just,
you know, reading it, making sure it's on spot. You know, if I have any tweaks that I want to do, I can do it here.
>> Amazing. This is really, really impressive. So, you know, one of the things that I'm thinking about is, you
know, my clients are always constantly juggling a lot of different tools. And what this really allows them to do is to
keep everything within Monday because they have their CRM, they have their work management, but email has always
been, you know, to do email blast has always been another tool like a Mailchimp, active campaigns, constant
contact, and now they have the ability to pull it in Monday, which I think I love how it's being just the platform I
guess is expanding, but it's really more all-encompassing to do things like this. >> Yeah. And also think about the marketeer
who's trying to be advanced. So he has like another account for Gemini, GPT, Entropic, whatever he uses and he needs
to upload all the contacts for that AI, right? To tell him like this is my company, this is my brand, these are my
audiences. Like I need to start training those AI to help me actually build it. And as you said, I need to jump to
another tool, ask like for copy, ask for images, ask for like where's the what's the the CTA on the button? You know, it
also helped me pick the subject line. So everything is with context here and based on AI. So all the those tools that
marketeteers are now using now are consolidated into one place and as you said soon it will be connected to CRM.
So also all the insights that are relevant from a different team in my company will be injected here. So that's
a really powerful tool as we can see it >> right. It's great. So I want to ask you about how the contacts that are chosen
for this like how does that work? It's a specific board within campaigns. Is it connected to the CRM? Like how does that
work? >> Yes. So here I have a marketing contact and it's very powerful basically because
it's based on modern day boards. So I can choose and create whatever columns I need that I think that are relevant to
my audience. So for example, here I have the audience and you can get all the you know all the relevant information like
uh name, email, company. These are all fake. So just no uh sensitive data is being shared here.
>> Yeah. But these are some thing that uh are relevant to my use cases. So for example, I want to know what industry
they are, what product are they interested in, what are their preferences in terms of like they want
to know about our newsletter, about marketing emails, product updates, where did they came from, the region, like
whatever I want, I can add here. Okay. And the thing is that because it's it's a Monday board, I can build on top of it
a dashboard that will tell me like everything that I like all the distribution where people are signing up
from, country, ages, whatever is relevant for me, I can see it here. I can even share the marketing signup. So
for example, you know, if I want to embed it in a different website or something, people can start filling up
their information and I will get it straight into my table. I can build also an event signup subset of it an event
dashboard if people are you know just to imagine an event team that is now running uh an event and they want to
understand like if all the people that wrote it are registered or coming so you know there's a dashboard for that and if
someone is coming I can quickly change the status from register to attend and all thing will be updated automatically
so everything is here And as you like regarding your your question, I can import from CRM all the contacts that I
have. Specifically here, we we're not connected to a CRM product cuz it's just a demo environment, but here you'll have
all the CRM boards in your CRM product and you can just import all the information from there to here with a
couple of clicks. So, it's super easy, super convenient, and then you you're making sure that your sales team and
marketing team are working on the same. That's great. So here you're doing it manually like basically moving from the
CRM to this con marketing contact board. Is there a way to add an automation to automate that?
>> Yeah. So once you click on import and you connect the board, we are creating an automation behind the scenes for you
that will copy those contacts to your uh marketing board your marketing contacts. So it's it's all automated and
>> No, but I mean ongoing like is it ongoing syncing? >> Yeah, it's an ongoing ongoing import.
Yeah, everything everything uh will be here. >> That's very cool.
>> That's basically like something that we we know that marketing and sales are trying to work closely together and
we're you know uh we're here to help them do that and and this is one way to to help them. And obviously marketeers
they usually they working on audiences or segments. So they're not working with a specific contact to you know to
understand like which campaign they should send. They have like thousands of those. In this board, you can manage up
to 100,000 contacts and soon you'll be able to manage up to one million contacts uh here.
>> Wow, that's I love I love to hear that that you know that you have so much room on these boards to add contacts. That's
>> Yeah, >> million contacts is a lot of people, but it's great that you have the capability
within Monday. So, how do you manage segments? Because I see another um on the left side I see an option for
segments. >> Yeah. So if I want to create segments that are relevant to the campaigns,
let's say I'm you know I'm uh someone from uh I want to target all my email contacts from specific industry. Let's
do it together. So if I want to let's say the region is EMA as we said and we want to add let's say that
their industry is let's say manufacturing and also telecommunication.
So I have like 47 out of my uh 1,000 contact answering this filter. I can also add uh or and filter that uh it
related to >> that's something that's missing in the filters within Monday. So I love that
that you guys built that in here. That's that's definitely a key feature that's missing there.
>> Yeah. So you can for example all the people that open any of my last campaigns so I can you
know I can target them. So I think maybe they are more engaged than others. So, email contacts, let's call it
manufacturing and telecommunication. And
>> and then you assign this to a campaign basically. >> Exactly. And now when I'm going to to my
last campaign, I can uh pick the audience. Let's um search for it. But basically
all all Yeah, here it is. >> I save it and that's it. >> Okay. And what kind of data can people
get about their campaigns? You know, like what kind of statistics? >> Yeah. So let's look at this campaign. So
this one was sent. Okay. So when I click on open, I can see what campaign was sent to them. I can see all you know the
relevant data like who sent it and you know to whom and from which domain, what was the the analytics about it. And if I
want to dive into this, I can also look on like specific people in each step that you know interacted with this
campaign. So if I want to say all the people that clicked on it. Okay. So here are all the people that clicked on it.
Now I can you know decide what to do. Maybe I want to contact the sales rep that is relevant for them and you know
maybe I want to send them another email whatever I think it's relevant. And soon you'll be able also to see all the
campaigns that they sent they received in their ENA in CRM. So ENA is the timeline yeah timeline activity and you
can see all the mails and you know calls and meetings that were conducted with that contact. And now you'll also see
all the campaigns that were sent to to that contact. So you can talk with them about oh I saw that you clicked on our
latest newsletter about an event we have. Let me send you an invite. you know something around that that should
help you with the engagement with your client. >> That's amazing. Okay. And tell me a
little bit about the back end of this. Like how are these emails being sent out? Are they being sent out by like I
don't know I know in sequences it was like my email provider like if I'm using Gmail it's sent out. Is this the same?
Is this different? Tell me a little bit about that. >> I'm sure that's a question that people
are going to ask. >> Yeah, that's a really really good question. So one thing to to understand
campaigns is built for marketing emails. It means that you can send up to and I hope that you you're sitting uh up to
100,000 emails in one click. >> Wow. [laughter] >> That's not something Yeah. That's not
something that your regular inbox can do. >> Correct.
>> And for that we're using like a third party like the the best in class in the world to help us send those emails.
Deliverability rate is very high and you can also get like your private IP. It means that you're sending your emails
from your own IP. So the deliverability won't hurt if someone marked you as a spam or something like that. So it's
really very helpful and the scale it's a different ballgame. Let's let's call it. >> Yeah, for sure.
>> One last thing that I I wanted to show you is the workflows. So we know that when a marketeteer is not only sending
uh one-off campaigns like this is our newsletter or this is our next event, sometimes they want to create those
customer journeys. So if someone you know joined my uh marketing board, let's send them uh an on boarding email or
something around that. >> So let's say we want to send an event to our contacts that uh were attending some
kind of an event. Okay? So I know they are very engaged or interested in in our events. So here for example I created a
workflow that I called it postevent. So every time I see someone who the status was attend so it means that he actually
got like went to the event and the event team marked this uh in the work management product they the uh event
planning they marked uh the status of an event as done. So the event is is over. I can delay for one day let's say and
then I can send a campaign about you know for example our upcoming event in Japan. So another invitation uh so this
will you know me as a marketeteer I don't need to do anything I just have this workflow so every time event ends I
can send like you know a campaign about you know thank you for being with us here are our next events if you want to
join us let me know and so on and you can create basically workflows for you know almost anything like uh welcome
workflow so someone just subscribe to my marketing board I can look on their preferences like what do they want to
learn about like product updates or events or um you know um uh marketing emails and I can send them campaigns
based on that one. So everything is automated. Every time a new contact is added to my marketing contact I can
automatically send them a campaign that is relevant to the data that he shared with us. So this is very powerful tool
and we're also investing it a bit more than than what you see here. So more to come. Right. As we know, Monday is
constantly growing and expanding and adding more features. So, just from the beginning, this is like my first real
deep dive into campaigns. And honestly, this looks amazing. I think a the ability to design campaigns, b the
ability to send out so many campaigns at once. I love the AI piece. I also think the journeys is a big deal because
people do want to set up automated journeys and to be able to do that within workflows, I definitely think is
that's like a gamecher for this product. So, we're excited to see what comes next for Monday campaigns. Thank you so much
for spending the time with us today, Gilad, and for showing all this and I hope that we'll be able to have you back
in a couple of weeks or months with some new updates for campaigns and we're excited to see where this goes.
>> Yeah, thank you. Thank you for having me and yeah, I'll be happy to update on on the cool thing that we're building here.
>> Amazing. And for anyone watching this video, if you need any help setting up campaigns, my contact information is in
the description below. So, feel free to reach out and we would be happy to help you set up campaigns for your company

Monday Campaigns is a new AI-powered email marketing tool within the monday.com platform. It uses AI as a core component to automatically generate full email campaigns—including copy, subject lines, images, and CTAs—from a simple text prompt. The AI also scans your company URL to extract brand assets like logos, colors, and fonts, ensuring all content aligns with your brand guidelines.
The product syncs seamlessly with your CRM via automated, ongoing import of contacts, keeping sales and marketing data aligned. It uses monday.com’s no-code workflow builder to create event-driven customer journeys, such as sending a follow-up email after a contact’s status changes to 'Attended'. UTM tracking is also built-in for campaign performance monitoring.
Yes, you can send up to 100,000 emails in a single blast and manage up to 100,000 contacts per board (with plans to support 1 million). The tool uses dedicated third-party deliverability providers, including private IP options, to protect your sender reputation and ensure high delivery rates.
Use the Marketing Contact Board, which supports custom columns for attributes like industry, region, or product interest. Create dynamic segments with AND/OR logic—for example, filter for contacts where 'Region = EMEA' AND ('Industry = Manufacturing' OR 'Industry = Telecom'). This lets you precisely target specific groups out of your contact list.
The Campaign Dashboard shows delivery stats, open rates, click-through rates, and individual recipient behavior. You can drill down to see all engaged users (e.g., who clicked) and take follow-up actions, such as assigning them to a sales rep. An upcoming feature will also display all campaigns a contact has received alongside their CRM activity timeline.
The AI first extracts your brand assets—logos, colors, and fonts—from your company URL or you can upload them manually via the Brand Asset Hub. It then uses this context to generate copy, images, and designs that match your brand identity, so every campaign looks and feels cohesive without manual effort.
This tool is ideal for marketing teams using monday.com who want to reduce tool fragmentation. It eliminates the need to switch between platforms like Mailchimp, ChatGPT, Canva, and Google Analytics by consolidating email creation, audience management, analytics, and CRM data into one workspace. It automates repetitive tasks, improves sales-marketing alignment, and scales for high-volume sending.
