For administrators interested in deeper settings configuration, consider Genesis Cloud Administrator Training: Navigating the Admin Interface and Configuring Organization Settings to enhance your organizational setup.
(gentle music) - Okay, let's set up your
Salesforce IQ account. Now IQ is a web based application,
so you can technically
use any web browser, but there are a lot of integrations with the Google Chrome browser.
So I suggest if you don't
already have a copy of it, go to google.com/chrome
and download and install a copy for your operating system.
Then after you have Chrome installed, go to Salesforceiq.com
and click on Pricing. Next you'll need to choose
what CRM license you
need for your business and how many licenses you need to purchase for your organization.
The starter license limits you to managing and sharing one list among up to five users
in your organization.
And it offers only a limited number of the basic business
intelligence reports. The growth license allows
you to manage and share
an unlimited number of
lists to as many users as you need to purchase licenses for, as well as access a bunch of prebuilt
and customizable reports. It allows you to integrate your IQ account with up to three other outside services,
and it allows you to
create and send mass emails to your customers. The business license adds
some additional reports,
an unlimited number of
integrations with outside services, and to provide you access
to the Salesforce IQ API, which can be used by your developers
to create custom integrations
between your IQ data and your own internal
apps and web services. Now keep in mind
that no matter which of the IQ
CRM licenses that you choose, you will need to purchase
a separate license for each individual that
will be using the system
from within your company and all the licenses are billed annually. Off to the right is an
optional add-on license
for Salesforce inbox, which lets you tie the
Salesforce inbox mobile App on your iOS or Android
device to your account.
This is incredibly helpful, especially if you're on the road and you need to manage
your customer relationships
from a mobile device. If you're unsure of which
license that you need, or you simply want to follow
along with this course,
then click the button for
Free CRM Trial at the top. This will give you 14 days to try out all of the features
of the IQ CRM product.
Then to create your account, you'll need to sign in
with your Google account, a Microsoft Exchange account
or an Office 365 account.
While all three types
of accounts will work, I found that the Google
account tends to work the best with some of the integrations with Chrome.
I'd also strongly advise you to only use a dedicated
business address to sign in with rather than using a personal account.
Now, the reason is, that by signing in, you'll be giving the Salesforce
IQ app access to your email to better integrate with
capturing customer data
and communications automatically. After you sign in and authorize
IQ to access your account, you'll need to set up
your business IQ account,
choose a log-in email address. I'll use my same email address and set a custom IQ
password for this account.
Then enter your business
or organization's name and your business phone number. You'll then need to check the box
agreeing to the master
subscription agreement and the additional terms. Then click the Sign Up button.
Now after a few minutes, your account should be set up and you're presented with
a brief on-screen tutorial
that you can click through or click the Skip Tutorial
button in the upper right. Now congratulations,
your Salesforce IQ account is
now set up and ready to go. (upbeat music)
Salesforce IQ offers three license tiers: Starter (one list for up to five users with basic reports), Growth (unlimited lists, prebuilt/customizable reports, up to three integrations, mass emailing), and Business (all Growth features plus additional reports, unlimited integrations, API access). Choose based on your team's size and integration needs — for small teams, Starter might suffice, while growing companies often benefit from Growth or Business licenses.
To create an account, sign in using a Google (recommended), Microsoft Exchange, or Office 365 account, ideally using a business email. You'll then authorize Salesforce IQ to access your email for automatic data capture, provide your login email, create a password, and enter business details. Using a business email improves data management and privacy.
Google Chrome is recommended because of its extensive integrations with Salesforce IQ, ensuring smoother functionality, better compatibility with Salesforce Inbox, and seamless use of extensions. Installing Chrome helps you fully leverage features like inbox integration and reduces potential browser-related issues.
Salesforce Inbox is a mobile app (available for iOS and Android) that connects to your Salesforce IQ account to enhance mobile customer relationship management. To integrate, install the app on your mobile device and link it to your Salesforce IQ account, allowing you to manage emails, contacts, and sales activities efficiently on the go.
Yes, Salesforce IQ offers a 14-day free trial giving you access to all features across license types. Simply click the Free CRM Trial button on their site to start. This allows you to evaluate the platform’s capabilities, integrations, and interface before committing to an annual license.
After signing up, wait a few minutes for your account to be fully set up. You'll then see a brief on-screen tutorial which you can follow or skip. Setting up your license, integrating services, and configuring any add-ons like Salesforce Inbox completes your setup, allowing you to begin efficient customer relationship management immediately.
