Hello there guys and welcome welcome back to the channel. So today we are going to be talking about locks and uh
recently they have become increasingly popular and uh I do have like a background information to tell you guys
how they came to be because they have not been in the game infinitely obviously otherwise we would have heard
about them a lot sooner and u I'll show you guys some examples because some of them are effectively infinite some of
them do have like an expiration time as in like when you run out of power. But, uh, there are quite a few champions in
the game that can do these locks. So, we can start with a champion that's not available at the seven start. It's
fairly simple to do as well. And, uh, that would Oops. I knew this isn't going to go
ideal when I have to talk and do them, but that's fine. Let's go, baby. Let's get that uh, Winter Soldier in the
corner. And as it turns out, Wasp has an infinite lock in her kit, right? Uh you can just um do the forkit combo heavy
dash in straight after your heavy and your opponent will never ever ever be able to activate special attack unless
you mess up and then eventually, you know, you can throw a big level three or whatever to finish the fight. But you
guys get the idea. So this is like very lowranked six-star wasp here fighting class disadvantage. But the idea it's
fairly similar. So you can do this for as long as you want and your opponent has zero chance to do anything. That is
an infinite lock and we do have a handful of champions. Now the one that has been wrecking havoc in Balance would
be Silk. Now, luckily, silk has uh been uh virtually unusable in the second part of this
balance season, but this is effectively also something you can do just about infinitely with
silk. You can also activate your level twos and still carry on like normal. And then you can weave in relic
obviously should you choose to do so. and effectively your opponent has no chance to
respond until you finish out the fight. So that is another example of infinite lock. And Silk actually kind of has two
versions of that with the heavy attack. And also when you get your level twos, you can use that or if you're feeling
fancy, you can go for level three and that comes with a stun as well. And then you can just carry on plowing into your
opponents. And then there are kind of conditionally infinite ones as well. And uh one of them is with America Chavez.
So yes, America Chavez does have one of these as well. And the entire point for this one is with her level
ones. So you want to do this and then you can do this infinitely as
well. Whoops. I I did mess up this one myself, but you guys get the
point. And you do need to make sure that you do not have all three dimensions active, otherwise you will eventually
gain too much power and you will be pushed to level three. Now that said, there are quite a few
more champions that can have these partial locks which do work uh exceptionally well in finishing fights
out and especially in battlegrounds. Um, and that is to do simply with spamming your special without the stun involved,
but you do need kind of like special as a part of it. And serpent is one of those. Serpent's actually probably the
easiest one to pull off because you need to just spam your light attack and that's it. As soon
as you activate your level one, you can just start spamming your light attack and then you can go for that and
then we're going to spam a light attack. And obviously the power gain and all that stuff kind of nice to fulfill it
up. But as you can see here, I run out of power and I can't really activate it. But you know once you have started off
the fight this is extremely effective way to finish it off. So play normally initially and then you know that you can
effectively get like a 50 hit combo. And uh another one of the more effective locks that we have been taking
a look at recently is aa straight up very simple too. Uh it's with the regular
combos and it is just get to 1.9 bars of power and you can pop off
really. So again, you do want to get to 1.9 bars of power. I do want my relic filling up as
much as possible. There we go. Except I messed up because I'm still not
Oh, we'll see. Well, we're still going to There we
go for a relic then and then go into special. And with Okoya's insane amount of damage, this is enough to finish just
about any fight. has seen people do serpents like this and obviously photons and so on and so forth.
Um, so that's another one, but it does have expiration date, but of course it has such an impressive damage out with
that just about everything dies. So there are more of these champions in game and that is definitely a
significant change. And how did it happen in the game? Well, um I was in DLL stream where we actually had a
conversation earlier today and that is a direct result of 60 frames per second and transition to 60 frames per second
and uh interaction with effectively AI standup animation and Kabam obviously does
consider that to be a big problem. And before I do get all sorts of nasty comments and I'm sure that's already far
far far too late. Uh this you know was brought to their attention long before I ever made any of the videos because
people have been making videos about this you know couple weeks after 60 fps got released because this new thing
people discovered them and then when a koi got released that when silk lock was a thing as well featured in many
different channels and obviously Kabam's aware of and now we do finally have an official acknowledgement from Kabam I
spoke with DLL they do consider that to be a major major major issue in the game. Officially, they have added it to
the Trello board. As you can see, it's been added on 22nd of March. Actually, March added this card to the gameplay. I
didn't notice it till now, but it is on the teleboard. That is what it effectively describes. Defender cannot
recover from standing up in time to activate special three when being struck at the wall. However, there is I think
good news if Kabam does this correctly, which I kind of inferred from DLL. The plan
is for these locks to still kind of work. At least that's what I gathered from the conversation. It's just that if
you do push opponent in the red that they will be able to launch it. That should not still be the case with levels
one or two. So these can still probably be very very useful tools and are use very important to be aware of and able
to execute in order to push opponents to the special attacks that you do want to bait out from them. For instance, you
know, against dust, they go in with Travis or Serpent or whoever against dust and always easily push her to level
two by utilizing these things. Therefore, you do not have to deal with level one, which is much harder to
punish. And obviously there's a plethora of champions like that where you want to bait out exclusively the level two. And
uh I think that part that aspect of the standup intercepts will remain because that is not necessarily something that
Kam wants to get rid of uh because standup intercepts have existed in the game forever and they are you know
perfectly fine and healthy according to them. And uh this note here as well specifically is speaking about level
three. Therefore, I do believe that Kabam is effectively going to write in some sort of u band-aid code that um
makes special three to be different rather than um you know every special attack being
affected. That said, I do have a sneaking suspicion that we're going to end up hitting getting hit with a level
three in the face in the middle of our combos or something like that because, you know, obviously it is kabam that we
are talking about and realistically there are going to be like four versions of this bug fix until they get it right.
But the big takeaways from this video is number one, if you did not know, this game does have quite a lot of locks.
Some of them are infinite, some of them are not. that you can effectively spam your attacks and opponent can't do a
thing. That's one. If you did not know them, learn them. They are useful. Two, they are going away at some point
soon after the conversation that I had with DLL. Number three, it is more than likely that bomb
is going to it up. But also it is more than likely that uh standup intercept portion of these things and us
being able to utilize them at the very least partially should be remaining. So that's about it for this video. Let me
know what you guys think and I'll catch you guys soon. Bye-bye. Hello there guys and welcome
back to the channel. So we have all the information about the next one.
