Revolut App: Learn to Earn Free Crypto and Banking Benefits in the UK

foreign so today's video is about an app called revolute which is basically a UK banking

app and they have introduced a new learned one function for cryptocurrency where you can learn and earn free crypto

about 17 phones so this video is going to be structured in two parts of First videos about the crypto part where you

can earn the 17 pounds and then the last few minutes I'll be talking about why I'm using this as a bank account in UK

and why it's useful so first of all revolute about three weeks back they received the full FCA registration for

the UK crypto business and we've got the license and as part of it they've released this Learn to Earn processor

program where like you know if you've seen my episode one where with coinbase you can go and get free crypto with the

Learn to Earn program so similarly for for a promotional perspective they've introduced a Learn to Earn program where

you need to go and watch some a couple of minutes of videos and there will be a quiz at the end and if you take the quiz

we get free crypto so revolute is essentially a banking app like I said and in UK lot of people use it including

me I've been using it for four years but if you don't have value you can sign up with Revenue revolut in like a few

minutes and uh it's an online bank it's uh it's it's not a brick and mortar bank it's an online bank like monzone like

many other banks that are have that are there in UK which are primarily online banks a revolute is also an online pack

and it's a very easy process to sign up to it there is an optional referral link that I've given in the description so if

you click on it you can actually sign up or you can go to revolut.com and you can sign up without the referral link as

well so let's see a quick demo so in the description there is a link like I said if so if you click on the link it will

open up and you can do this all in your mobile itself you don't even need a laptop and it will open up a revolute

website which will ask for your mobile number your mobile number is going to be your identity for revolute so you can

enter your UK mobile number or or you can enter any European or it even even uses an Indian mobile number and you can

sign up for it and once you enter your mobile number you will get a message text message with the link to the app

which you can download and the whole registration process takes about few minutes and you you will pretty much be

authenticated and kyc will be done in in a very very quick way sometimes if there is a backlog it can take a few hours and

once you are done there will be a section called crypto in your mobile app in the revolute app and if you go to the

crypto app there will be a learn section and the learn section there will be two courses one is crypto basics for two

pounds and polka dot for 15 pounds and like I said you just need to you know look at the content for like a couple of

minutes and then sometimes you can even skip through the content and once you've finished the content which could take

like anywhere between 30 seconds to 2 minutes there will be a quiz and if you take the quiz the quiz will be more or

less if you are already in crypto the quiz would be self-explanatory in fact a lot of times I just skip the courses and

just make went straight to the quiz and I took the quiz or I just let the content roll over and then went to the

quiz and the quiz like I said if you're already in cryptocurrency it's a very straightforward simple uh question that

they ask and so if you answer those two or three questions correctly for every quiz that you complete you keep getting

incremental values of like 50 cents and and so on so I eventually till you get to the 17 pound part so the first course

like I said is 2.1 sir is complete the dot courses kick on which is like three pound per course that you can get and

the dot dot is the sponsor of this learn to one program in this scenario so they are primarily giving you polka dot polka

dot is a is a L1 blockchain so but dot is the is the token that they are giving in terms of the free crypto but it's

basically any crypto that you can basically sell and like I said in the second course every course takes up it

gives you about three pounds in crypto so once you complete all the courses on you can see that the Learned one gives

you two pounds in the first course and 15 points in the second course and if you scroll up you can actually see the

whole polka dot and you can sell it immediately and withdraw it your bank or use it or you know do anything that you

want immediately with that uh crypto if you don't want to keep it so that's basically 15 17 pounds free crypto in a

matter of minutes and now why revolute in UK I've been using it for a few years now and the biggest Advantage for

revolutists like you know especially students or anybody who's coming to work for a short time in UK opening a bank

account takes time where you need to have an address proof and you need to go to the bank but for Revenue there is no

Bank no a dust proof is required you can actually go to the bank and you can actually open it on your mobile phone

itself without having to go to the bank and uh all you but you can't do it as a tourist because you need your BRP car

residence Permit card and you also need your nine number which proves that you are a tax paying citizen you and you can

do this in Europe also in many countries you can actually do this is similar uh functionality for many of the other

countries Europe where revolut is operational but you need a UK phone number if you are

going to register as a in UK citizen or in UK employee and even students can actually do it because a lot of students

I know have come in and they were able to open a revenue bank account in a matter of minutes and even if you have a

pay as you go phone number which you can get pretty quickly for a UK mobile number once you come here you can get a

phone number in like you know two minutes and activate it and once you have done that you can actually open the

online bank account very very quickly after that so convenient for people who are coming and they are they don't have

to go to the bank and prove their address and everything else and why are evalued you know it's very easy to send

payments just using the phone number it's like paytm or anything that we use in India but here you can actually use

it across countries it's useful globally and especially it integrates with your other bank accounts very very easily and

you can do top-ups to the bank account to the revolute account transfer it using a regular bank-to-back transfer

because they give you a sort code on a card number or you can also use Apple pay and Google pay to do an instant

Deposit they give you a free debit card and they also give you an option for additional cards for kids under 18 so

you don't have to open a separate bank account for them you can just give them a debit card because post covered a lot

of places are taking only debit cards there's no cash here in UK some places so it's useful for the kids to have like

if they're 14 15 years old it's useful for them to have a debit card to go to these places it's a very easy to use app

you can maintain the balances in multiple currencies again this is not a promotional video I'm Only explaining

the benefits that I have been getting and I have been using for me the most important benefit has been the

international travel if you are traveling a lot frequently especially to Europe and U.S this is

extremely useful and the reason is because of the uh The Exchange fees that the other Banks charge so if you're

traveling to Europe especially or U.S and you've gone from UK or from anywhere other any other European country for

that matter to another uh you know destination outside of Europe like UK or outside of Euro Zone like uh UK or us

then you know that when you when you do a foreign currency transaction even if you buy a coffee you incur a foreign

currency fees and it could be like for every 10 pounds you're in you're basically paying like almost a pound up

to a pound of foreign currency fees for your transactions and it's so convenient to use your car because not every place

again accepts cash the harassment but and if you withdraw a cash using your UK bank issued debit card there's an ATM

fees as well and if you actually convert your money using Forex then you get possibly like almost 20 percent less

Exchange change rates in the online in the brick and mortar exchange counters but with the revolute you can actually

convert the money into multiple currencies and keep the balances in those currencies so for example when I'm

going to Europe I can convert it to Euro and keep it in the euro currency and I can go and spend it and there is no

foreign exchange fees that I incur and I get the best exchange rate possible when I'm traveling that's probably the

biggest advantage that I can think of while using revolute I would say they have a few options standard Plus

premium and metal I mean I wouldn't recommend using the paid options the free option is more than enough for

everyone however I am on the premium option because of frequent flyer options and it gives you free travel visuals

that's the biggest advantage again this is not a promotional video it's just a personal experience that I'm sharing so
