How to Earn Free Basic Attention Tokens (BAT) Using Brave Browser

[Music] hello everyone uh today is a quick update uh on a free cryptocurrency um

people keep asking me about cryptocurrency mining something that they can get free

um everywhere like including india we spoke about free cryptocurrency in my episode uh three where we talked about

coinbase but it's not available in india and there are a lot of uh internet scams that are out there which says that free

cryptocurrency mining on your computer or your mobile bitcoin for example i explained

in my episode one and two how bitcoin mining cannot be done in personal computers or mobiles right now because

of the computing power that is required so most of these are scams there is however one

genuine free cryptocurrency that you can get which is also having a value

pi is one currency but it doesn't have a value um so bat basic attention token is one of

the cryptocurrencies that is available for free that you can mine or rather get uh

for free on a monthly basis or on daily basis but by simply using the browser called brave

browser instead of chrome and you get a free cryptocurrency of bat and it has a value as well so we'll take

a quick look at why they give you the free cryptocurrency and also a quick demo of

how to install the browser and how you can use it on a daily basis to get the free

cryptocurrency today so bat basic attention token is ranked number 53 in the world in the top 100

cryptocurrencies and has a good market capital and it's currently valued at around 16

rupees per cryptocurrency and uh roughly about 16 pence today it went up to about 31 rupees in august

and it's kind of fallen down after that like all other cryptocurrencies have but it is a traded cryptocurrency it is

available for you to buy and sell as well in wazirex or in any other cryptocurrency exchanges

but it can be obtained for free which is what we're going to show in this demo um and we're going to also show uh how you

can attach it to a wallet and how you can exchange it in a wallet as well

so uh basic attention token is is what is the fundamental reason that they are giving

cryptocurrency free it's basically a blockchain based digital advising so today digital advertising whether you

see it on youtube or any website any website that you go you see a lot of ads

but you don't get paid for these ads 70 to 80 of the ad revenue um that is paid by the

ad advertisers actually goes to google or facebook or these kind of giants

they basically take up all of the money and that's that's like billions and billions of dollars

so what brave have done is they've created a browser which is also a built-in ad blocker if you use ad

blocker you know what it is just blocks all the ads but uh what it means is that even if you

don't get the free crypto it saves you 50 of your mobile data um like you know if

you're using 2gb per month 1gb is probably just for the ads alone and it saves you mobile

load time saves your mobile phone battery if you're using a mobile you can use it on laptop as well or desktop

and still you can save a lot on data internet usage if you're living up on unlim if you're not living on unlimited

usage and it is basically it stops all the ads from being shown to you

and you only choose to see the answer you want to see and for every ad that you see

you get paid for it and that's what uh the the whole concept is and how does it work basically it works

like a triangle where the advertiser chooses to issue these ads

and they pay in bat tokens and when you see the bat when you see these ads you get the bat token yourself and

the publisher gets some of the b80 tokens basically there's no intermediate or third party involved

and there is a complete anonymity shield in between which means that no data is exposed to anyone so it's a very

novel concept i would say and it's been gathering attention over the past few months and

been millions and millions of users have started using it right now so um you know compared to last year now

probably 10 times more users have been using it and i've been using it for four months i've been getting the

the bat tokens into my wallet and exchanging it i'm able to buy or sell it to my to any other crypto wallet that i

can which is why i'm going to show you the demo of how to use it so it's a very simple

process it's a very simple way of using it and instead of using chrome or internet explorer you just

replace your browsing method or your browsing um you know action with the brave browser which is

faster safer and it's also uh uses less data basically so

you get a win-win situation so um i'll show you the demo of how to use the play browser on the

desktop so you can click on the link in my description or you can go to brave.com directly and download it this

is a referral link so you click on download brave and and you get an installation file so you

click on the install and you know like any other laptop installation or desktop installation

takes a few seconds and once you've installed it there are a few housekeeping steps in the

in the beginning where you could import like if you've been using chrome or internet explorer for that matter

you can import your bookmarks from your chrome or from your internet explorer i'm skipping the

bookmarks for now but i'm but i'm setting my default search into google so that i can

search for it using the address bar itself the important part is when it comes to the enabled reward so

click on enable rewards and even if you forget by close it and i can i can show you where you can get it

so click on s i am in and you create a wallet on your brave browser so it's

first creating fundamentally it's creating a crypto wallet on your brave browser itself and

it lives in your braille browser so um enable ads so if you don't want ads if you don't want to

uh earn money then you can just simply switch off ads and continue using braille browser but

if you enable ads is when uh you will get the the add notifications and you will get the money

out of it or the b80 tokens out of it by default the ad tokens are set i mean ads are set to two

ads per hour you can increase it to five ounce up to five ads power or it's no guarantee that

you'll get five watts power i always keep it at five hours per hour the more ads that you see the more you

get paid so uh it doesn't matter whether you set it to five or one sometimes you could end up

not getting an ad at all in an hour but sometimes you could get up end up getting like three or four ads in uh

an hour it depends on you know how many ads have been uh sent to us and how many ads that we

see that's what matters this is basically a maximum setting to say this is the maxim

that i want to see if i don't want to see five i can set it to one as well um

so there is an auto contribute option i suggest turning it to off this is auto contributors

the supporters and the publisher and content creators that you go it automatically contributes some pat to

them i don't suggest using it for now so i suggest you turning it off

so when you click on verify wallet it says that first you need to get minimum 25 bit tokens after which you can create

an uphold account uphold is another like version x like all the

uh wallets that we have seen it is another cryptocurrency wallet that you can use uh

where you can actually sell it for uh money and you can buy cryptocurrency as well it's just another crypto wallet

an uphold is the partner account or partner wallet for the brave browser if you don't have if you have 25b you

have create button and you can create the uphold account very easily if you don't have 25 b80 but you have

uphold account already using it you can click on login login to your uphold account and you can link

your brayer browser if you have an existing uphold account you can link it to it i

mean i had an existing upload account so i basically linked it to it so this is a simple beginning step where

initially you will not have an uh reward and you click on the triangle anytime you can actually go to the brave rewards

and that's how you get the notification so this is a lenovo notification for

example for laptop deals and i click on it once you click once the notification comes click on it a new

window opens it doesn't disturb your existing window and you can close the window immediately in couple

of seconds you can actually close it and like i said it keeps coming like in a maximum it comes as like five

times an hour it is not intrusive or it is not destructive because it's it's very very minimal

and you can choose to close it you don't need to open it so um this is how much bat that i've got in

the last three or four months 59 b 80 for my desktop browser so if i click on the reward settings i can

this is my actual account where i've been using it for a while and uh if i if i uh actually see

the number of ads that i have seen this month it tells me the statistics 54 ads that i've seen

in the entire month that i choose to see and i can click on go to my upload account because i have

linked it to my uphold account now so in my uphold account you will see that there are two bat uh rewards brave

browser and brave rewards which is from my mobile so in brave rewards uh brave browser i

had about 59 b80 which is roughly around 10 points so what indian rupees about thousand rupees in

in two to three months time that's that's how much i have got every time it crosses the threshold it

sends it to your uphold account which means that you can actually transact it you can sell it

or you can move it to your other crypto wallets and you can sell it there as well you don't need to sell it in

um uphold itself this is my mobile uh browser where i've got the uh bat tokens from my mobile browser

so um in total i've got about 21 pounds worth roughly about 2000 rupees worth in the in the last two to three months

but you know i don't use it that regularly on my mobile i don't use browser at all on my mobile but so if

you use it more often then you'll probably get a lot more than this

so in the mobile version again it's the same process you know click on the link in the description it will open up

the brave browser link and you can either go to the play store or the app store depending on your

phone and uh install the mobile app like you would on on your mobile it takes a few seconds

to install once you install it then you start using it as your browser instead of safari or chrome

and then you will notice how quicker it is and how faster it is um and and how much lesser data that is

consuming you'll start to notice it over time so again uh make sure that the brave

rewards are enabled um by by clicking on the brave rewards and making sure that it is on

so um it's like any other mobile app it's a it's just a mobile browser so the thing

is if you actually type in an address and go to the address you you can see the

difference between uh opening the address in in chrome or opening the

address in in brave for that matter so radio is probably one of the most notorious

websites with more ads uh and you see how quickly it opens and cnn.com obviously um if you want to see how many

ads is actually blocked you open the uh the address and click on that the the brave icon

so it tells me that roughly about 32 ads have been blocked for cnn and most of these news websites if you

go to a news website often they have so many ads across them that you know half the page is actually full

of ads if the if the browser page is like you know 10 mb then 5 mb is actually for the

ads so hindu.com is another culprit where if you go to india.com

it has actually blogged all of the ads now and you can just see the news alone and if you click on the the brave icon

you can see that it's blocked almost like 25 ads in hindu so again

if you use it over a period of uh the whole day it probably saves you like you know 10

mb or 100 mb in honor on a given day so that's how the notification comes for mobile and you click on it again it

opens up a new window it doesn't disturb your existing windows and you can close it immediately there

is another functionality wherein it allows you to send a tip to mobile creators or

and content creators like me i suggest not using it for now but if you like to you can actually

send a tip to your content creators that you like but otherwise you click on claim and that's how you get the
