The Vital Role of Discipline in Exam Success
Discipline is not just an attitude but a trainable process essential for cracking difficult professional exams such as Chartered Accountancy (CA). Without it, even talented students risk repeated failures and missed career opportunities.
Effective Time Management and Study Planning
- Critical Study Period: You have approximately 80 days before the exam, with about 65 productive days after accounting for breaks and unforeseen events.
- Focused Hours: Aim for consistent daily study sessions of 10-12 hours, balancing intense revision with adequate rest.
- Revision Requirements:
- First revision typically takes 350-400 hours.
- A second revision requires an additional 150 hours.
- Completing two thorough revisions (approximately 500 hours total) for both exam groups significantly boosts success odds.

Final Advice
Prioritize self-respect, maintain a disciplined routine, and treat your exam preparation as a stepping stone to financial independence, family well-being, and social status. Embracing discipline today sets the foundation for a successful tomorrow.
Some people might say sir if I do not study and if I do not clear what you do you mean to say there is no life if you
argue that quit from this course and go for some other life why are you here then go try music [music] field you'll
understand try cinema field you'll understand they are 10x harder 10x harder than this is easiest way you
yourself is not caring yourself who will care people are not respecting me first you respect yourself you want to see the
money you want [music] to make you want to take up the responsibility you want to lead a very good life, you should be
disciplined. Later after 3 4 years [music] of time wasting like this day you will feel biggest struggle in your
life. Even I wasted time. I was in a relationship that time in my CA [music] enter in my CA final both the times and
I wasted my time and then roaming everywhere wasted time. later luckily the moment after I wasted one [music]
month one attempt I I understood no no no if I go like this I will end up with like my senior who is still struggling
right now I immediately took back my discipline and again I started studying and immediately the next attempt I
qualified and today I'm leading it understood today I'm happy today I'm leading a very good life today I'm
having good amount of money good family good status everything only because I'm disciplined said never think about the
recept last month I came only 250 hours of time is there 25 days time only is there now can I clear group one or not
forget about it enough [music] time is there if you are certain if you're working every day you will never get
that worry when 7 to 7 be productive don't study later on after that you want to watch a web series watch and then go
and sleep this 80 [music] days decides your meals first attempt that you're writing in the main is the best attempt
I'm telling you the moment you waste this again next attempt the loop repeats use our three four strategy undoubtedly
you can write 90 plus marks I'm telling telling you minimum number actually you can write 95 plus discipline is a
process it's a training you have to train your mind to be disciplined every day if you're not gone your entire life
will be gone so whatever the time available for you next 2 and 1/2 months it's literally we are already on the
February 2nd week already February 10th is approaching you are strictly literally having 80 days of
time the maximum time available is 80 days And this 80 days decides your m result. This 80 days [music] decides
your main result. Within this 80 days, if you are perfect, if you're super productive for 40 to 50 [music] days, at
least 40 maybe may not be 50, at least 40 days. If you're super productive, you can clear single group easily.
Easily single group you can clear. Now out of 80 days if at all you're able to dedicate yourself [music] for 65 days
with super productivity you can clear both the groups. Now it's not number of days which is
required. It is number of hours how much you're ready to spend that decides your result. As you near the exam and you
didn't react, you didn't study your number of hours in a day work will increase.
Don't keep [music] till the last moment. Many students what they do you know okay let me pass on let let February pass on
I will start preparing seriously from March 1st when two months time only available when the time available is
only 2 months and as on the date you have not yet started revision. See preparation means according to me
coaching is equal to preparation. If your coaching is perfect your preparation is perfect. If your coaching
was not perfect because you are not serious in the class or you didn't attend the classes, you didn't attend
the classes correctly timely or you have bought the classes but [music] you didn't watch it then preparation was not
effective. If 2 months if your preparation was effective for both the groups and 2
months if at all you're having time and every day 10 to 12 hours if you are studying for revision purpose you can
clear both the groups undoubtedly provided provided your coaching or preparation something must be completed
coaching itself is equal to preparation or in case of self-study self-study so first your coaching should be completed
thoroughly again in coaching how much should be completed at least 80% of coaching should be completed. 80%. For
example, best example you got auditing class. 100 hours is a class duration. 80 hours you finished. Okay. 20 years you
you kept pending. Same way with costing. [music] Same way with SM. Same way with every other subject. 80% of the class
you finished. That means your coaching is very very good. Very very perfect. Means you are perfect in coaching
because you watch the classes at least 80% you are good at. Now in this two months both the groups
if you are planning revise intensely for the two months you will clear paka both the groups undoubtedly you can write
easily 90 plus marks in the exam undoubtedly use our three four strategy undoubtedly
you can write 90 plus marks I'm telling you a minimum number actually you can write 95 plus but I'm just telling you a
conservative minimum number 90 now you see now 2 months means you have only 50 days time if at all you are starting
from March First 50 days time. Even if you're working 12 hours a day, you are having only 600 hours of time.
You know how much first revision takes? How much time first revision takes? Many don't know this calculation. For
example, in our in our academy, we have how many hours of coaching? You know total how the the total number of hours
of coaching is 750 [music] hours for both the groups put together. This is regular course duration. This is
including additional questions that we discuss. This is including MCQs [music] all that in this 60% of time it takes
first revision 60% will take minimum 50 that to when you know when you have
watched the 750 hours perfectly then you will revise them in the first division recollecting everything once
again takes minimum 50 okay conservatively let me let me calculate [music] optimistically 50% 375 to 400
100 hours it will take first revision. 400 hours it will take first revision. Only one revision is not alone
sufficient. See generally again here no if at all you are listening to the classes in the last 2 months
simultaneously. Recently you're listening to the classes for example that time 400 hours it might
not take it will take only 200 hours because know you're revising immediately after the class is over.
If that is the case, revision time reduces. But if at all you are taking well in advance the classes, 3 months
[music] before the exam itself, you're completing the classes or 2 months before exam itself, you are completing
the classes. Now you fresh your starting, right? [music] It will take 350 to 400 hours of time for first
revision. And this is the most important revision. Whether you do re revision two, revision
three is the big is not a big deal. past revision of 350 to 400 hours if you're able to do after you finish [music] the
coaching provided here the assumption is 2 months before you're taking the class you're finishing the class suppose there
are some students who take coaching in the last 3 months before exam for them this rule will not apply for them it is
only 200 hours it will take both the groups 100 to 150 hours if they dedicate for single group coaching that I mean
revision purpose that's enough because they listen to the class just now and revision will be much more faster
You listen to the classes long. So you require time. You have your own your own advantage. They have their own
advantage. They have [music] lastm minute pressure. You have only revision where your relatively the pressure level
will be lesser. Those who completed classes thoroughly effectively 2 months before exam for them relatively the
pressure is low in the two months. Those who are taking classes now for a proper understanding for them relatively the
pressure is higher. But for them revision time takes less. Understood? So first revision takes like
this much time approximately. I will put 350 hours first revision. If at all you completed classes 2 months before
revision two takes 150 hours. That's it. If you are able to do two revisions like this, you are done. Now remember two
revisions put together for both the groups takes how many hours? 500 hours. If you want to clear both the groups at
a time revision time that you should give for both the groups is 500 hours that two here this time is calculated
considering you don't have classes in the last two months of exam only when your classes are perfect then only this
time if at all you have not taken coaching perfectly if at all the coaching was not effective for you then
this number will be 1,000 hours. Now check yourself which category you're falling in. Are you falling in coaching
effective category or coaching ineffective category? Your coaching is ineffective for two reasons. Either you
bought the classes or you paid for some face to face but you didn't attend regularly.
See [music] how much percentage you didn't attend regularly. What chapters and all were covered there. Two, the
coaching academy has [music] not taken care properly in the sense they didn't teach any concept. They skipped a lot of
concepts. all that they skipped question bank discussion all that the coaching was ineffective maybe you are
disciplined these are the two possible reasons now so this is the duration [music]
you are now at February 10th 80 days time is [music] what you're having 80 days time out of 80 days paka 15 days
you can't study only 65 days you can study 15 days some uncertainty either you'll be sick or your family issues
[music] will be there some some functions would have been there breaks is required Sundays and all. Let us
assume you want to work [music] one day in a week 65 days only you're having time into 10 if you put it 650 hours
which is close to 500 hours of revision that you require [music] for both the groups.
So if you seriously want to prepare both the groups for me from now you should not waste even 1 hour of your energy is
very limited. Don't think that morning I will enjoy my time. I will just chill with my friends. Okay, evening [music]
I'll study. No, time is plenty for everybody that what is not [music] there for everybody's energy. People are
unable to work only because they're not energetic. So have that energy. Reserve your energy carefully. Observe where the
energy is going. Suppose you know if I'm taking a break, I'll either [music] spend time with my family at home. I'll
just go for some quick lunch or dinner some return and I'll be back. I never think of going for a movie when I have
any important work in the day on the day because if I go for movie and come back my energy affects badly.
Understood? Because no in movie a lot of energy gets consumed even if somebody call me for a meeting friends meeting
I'll not go. If I have a priority most important work on the day I'll not meet all this because my energy might not
just the time I'm wasting there my energy I'm wasting there. Understood? So 650 hours is what you're literally
having even from today for the May exam. If you waste [music] every 1 hour from here you're you're literally some
students what they do you know they plan for both the group because time is sufficient but they were never serious
in preparation then later what they do you know they'll convert into single group
you know on April 1st 1st April you should decide this is cut off date 1st April you should decide of 2026 [music]
for May exam whether you want to write both the groups or not Whether you want to read both or not
first April you decide as on 1st April you understood that still your preparation was not effective as a whole
directly stick to one group only either group [music] one or group two if at all both the groups are pending I recommend
group one first understood first group one I recommend if both are pending now stick to one
group because in the April you can easily spend 25 into 10 250 hours remember when you're in the last month
the pressure is again high you should ignore that you have 250 hours of time okay let me give my full attention on
this 250 hours so that's how you decide never think about the result last month I came only 250 hours of time is there
25 days time only is there now can I clear group or not forget about it enough time is there if you are certain
if you're working every day you will never get that worry when you will worry you know every day that you waste
and first attempt that you are writing in the name is the best attempt I'm telling you the moment Didn't you waste
this again next attempt the loop repeats because suppose if at all you gave May exam [music] with lack of proper
preparation and revision you just gave casually the attempt and unfortunately if at all the result was unsuccessful
after declaration of result again you are having one and a half month time again you can do only one one group
remember last attempt you gave one group this time you are planning to you know after exams what many students do they
start preparing at the other group other group they'll start then result again the first group they failed now they
will be in the biggest dilemma should I continue group two or should I continue group three because group two
preparation they started halfway through now group one result came and then failed now the student is in dilemma I
already have a decent idea on group one now group two also I'm able to finish 50% of the syllabus which one I should
go with then these students will plan both groups and to come out of the result trauma 10
days it will take for them many of them 10 days they will take to come into the form because until then they're not in
the full form now suddenly when they have to sit every day 10 to 12 hours it will take time now again the [music]
cycle repeats again they'll fail this this attempt third attempt they will think of giving only attention on one
group again by this time 8 months got wasted 8 months got wasted some of your friends are progressing
into CF final they are completing 8 months of articles. Now we are still lying in group one. Now if if two times
if a failure repeated third time also there [music] is a high chance that failure only will come because your
mindset is never trained for discipline. Discipline is not an attitude. It's not a character. [music] It's how you train
it. The more you train your mind for being disciplined, it will be disciplined. The least you bother about
it, it will be out of the discipline. Discipline is a process. [music] It's a training. You have to train your mind to
be disciplined every day. Then one day it'll reach a level where [music] it cannot be without discipline.
Understood? So third attempt. Third attempt. Again if you unfortunately fail again because you lack the [music]
discipline from past two attempts, cyclic entropics, then you will end up in a situation where your friend is
about to play a CF final. People around you are progressing in life. You are still struck there. Not
cleared single group, not even started articles, no degree or even if degree is there it's useless.
Already by then you'll be reaching 24 years of age. 23 24 years of age. 23 24 your family everyone is asking you what
are you doing? You will not have an answer. That day [music] the biggest regret.
You don't want to get that day study. That's it. Because the moment you started taking responsibility in life,
the moment you feel the money is required for you today you will see him. If at all you don't have money,
you want to see the money you want to make, you want to take up the responsibility, you want to lead a very
good life, you should be disc. If you're not gone, your entire life will be gone. Later after 3 4 years of
time wasting like this day you will feel biggest struggle in your life. At that time even [music] if you're ready to
work hard circumstances will not support you. Your family responsibility will be there. Your your some financial issues
might be there in the family. Now you don't have all that or even if they were there your parents [music] have given an
opportunity for you to take care you do focus on study we will take care of that on the hope that you will one day come
back and then have support them now you're wasting after two three attempts your parents will not support you nobody
will support no no no you're wasting time we will not support and that day [music] you realize I should have not
wasted 2026 and 3 months time this end months is what decides about your future 99%.
You can if you're see if you're if you're very very very disciplined later on at later point of time again you can
revive your life that's not a big deal. See at any stage of your life you can revive your life at any stage. Suppose I
[music] lost my entire business. No problem. I'll work another 6 months to one year on some other domain. I'll make
myself very competitive. 6 months to one year time if you give me I will learn one one one complete new domain which I
don't even know. The same anybody can do. You can revive but that is very hard. It's not easy. If
you are not ready to work which is smartest way [music] right now which is available for you in this two and a half
months you can happily comfortably work. You don't have to work hard comfortably you can work this it still you are
unable to take up hardest [music] thing how can you face right now you're having two and a half months this is most
comfortable time you can comfortably study 10 hours a day. What is required is do not tempt for
every [music] 10 hours 6 days in a week straight one day break first finish this 10 hour preparation you want to go movie
after 10 hours you go after 10 hours of preparation you go morning you start preparation at 7:00
go at least stretch up to 9:15 9:30 in between 10 minutes break then again take half an hour 45 minutes break again
[music] 2 hours for every 1 or 10 minutes break you take just like How I take the class every 1 hour 10 minutes
break is first just to revive your mind like that [music] finish 10 hours morning if 7:00 you started by evening 4
or 5:00 you can finish or maybe with the dinner or lunch all together maybe by evening 7
to 7 be productive don't study later on after that you want to watch a web series watch and then go and sleep 7 to
7 morning 7 to evening 7 make yourself not this two end of months if you are like
Once [music] you see the taste of success and progress in life, you will never look back
until you see that this discipline is most important. Just seeing what I'm doing, how I'm leading my life. This is
because of the discipline which I found. Even I wasted an attempt. But my [music] best thing was I realized my life
immediately. Very few people realize it. Very few people after they tested first failure the son of very few will realize
even I wasted time. I was in a relationship that time in my CA entry my CA final both the times and I wasted my
time and then roaming everywhere wasted time. Later luckily the moment after I wasted one month one attempt I I
understood [music] no no if I go like this I will end up with like my senior who is still
struggling right now. I immediately took back my discipline and again I started [music] studying and immediately the
next attempt I qualified and today I'm leading it. So the same if you want in life you have to be disciplined and
remember most of the students who neglected first attempt will automatically neglect the second and
third attempt also and then after fourth fifth doesn't matter you will anyhow neglected you neglected your life. First
it will start with negligence on exam. Later it becomes habit. [music] Later it becomes a negligence about your
life itself. Nobody will care your life. You you you yourself is not caring yourself. Who will care? Sir people
[music] are not respecting me. First you respect yourself. First you should have respect. When you think of at the end of
the day what am I? When you think of you should feel proud. Yes I did this today. I did that. I did
I achieved this. If you don't have anything to feel proud of, anything to feel proud of, there's no point of that
life. Correct? So this 2 and 1/2 months of preparation is what decides your [music]
entire journey in life. 90% of the cases I tell you sir [music] if I'm not studying rightly mean see you some
people might say sir if I do not study and if I do not clear see what you do you mean to say there is no life if you
argue that quit from this course and go for some other life. Why are you here then? If you think this
is not the only way to lead a life then why are you here? Some students [music] know they say sir what sir we are saying
as if CA is the only life. If CA is not there life is not there. It is there then do one thing you go and try that.
Why are you here? If you are in this domain be perfect here. I'm telling you education is the easiest way to succeed
in life. Remaining are even more hard. You try go try [music] music field you'll try cinema field you'll
understand. They are 10x harder. 10x harder than sing this is easiest way.
Okay. Hence I'm seeing you a lot of you wasting time at just 10 minutes. I'm recording also. This will be useful for
YouTube also. Okay. So don't waste your time unnecessary. You enjoy roam with
friends. Happily spend time with friends. I'm not saying 10 hours in a day you dedicate for studies. 24 hours
you have 8 hours for sleep. 14 hours you have two I mean then [music] 14 - 8 then you have 16 hours 6 hours your wish
6 hours is your wish 10 hours is this 40% of your 24 hours in a day 40% only I'm asking I'm not asking full day 40%
of your day make it count you will see the change in me you will not find it today you will find my words after you
see the change in your life that time you will thank me that time you will thank yourself mostly
understood today I'm happy today I'm leading a very good life today I'm having good amount of money good family
good [music] status everything only because I'm disciplined more than in my even childhood more than
in in my studies even now I'm disciplined that's it okay yeah best wishes h I hope
you will take serious and then start preparation
Discipline is essential because it structures your study process, helping you consistently dedicate the required time and effort. Without discipline, even talented students may struggle due to inconsistent preparation, leading to repeated failures and missed career opportunities. Building discipline trains you to manage time effectively and maintain focus during the intense preparation period.
Plan for approximately 65 productive study days within the 80-day window, accounting for breaks and unforeseen events. Aim for daily study sessions of 10-12 hours, balancing rigorous revision with sufficient rest. Allocate about 350-400 hours for the first revision and an additional 150 hours for the second, completing around 500 hours in total to boost your exam success chances.
Completing at least 80% of your coaching classes is critical for effective preparation, as coaching provides structured guidance and clarifies complex concepts. If coaching is incomplete or ineffective, you may need to compensate with up to 1,000 hours of self-study and revision. Align your coaching schedule with your revision plan to avoid last-minute pressure and ensure comprehensive readiness.
You should decide by April 1st whether to appear for one or both exam groups based on your readiness. If you're behind in preparation, focus on clearing one group first—Group 1 is generally recommended as the priority. Committing fully from your first attempt helps avoid the cycle of repeated failures and enhances your chances for overall success.
Avoid excessive socializing, entertainment, unnecessary outings, or meetings during your critical study period to conserve energy and maintain focus. Distractions can waste valuable time leading to insufficient preparation, which may result in failure and lost career progress. Maintaining self-discipline helps preserve your motivation and ensures efficient use of study hours.
Draw inspiration from personal success stories that highlight the transformative power of discipline. Use motivational strategies like setting clear goals, tracking your progress, and reminding yourself of your ultimate career and life aspirations. Additionally, consider resources that offer motivational tips to reinforce your focus and help overcome burnout during tough times.
Maintaining discipline not only increases your chances of passing difficult exams but also lays the foundation for financial independence, family well-being, and enhanced social status. It fosters self-respect and builds habits that contribute to long-term career success and a fulfilling life. Treating your exam preparation seriously today paves the way for a successful and stable future.
