Conclusion
Living in Bangkok as an expat entrepreneur involves blending structured routines with moments of community and personal growth. This balanced approach supports sustainable success and a fulfilling lifestyle while embracing the vibrant culture of Thailand.
So, you move to Bangkok and the excitement fades. You're back in your day-to-day normal routine, and you want
to know what that will really look like. I think this is going to be an important video for aspiring expats, especially
those moving to Thailand. Um, you might think that every day is going to be an adventure. You might also think that
your body is going to want to explore and just be out there every single day, but the reality is you very much will
need to develop a daily and weekly routine when you're here to make sure that you one don't collapse and two
still build some structure into your life because starting over abroad is it's a huge decision and it can be
really exciting but it could also be really overwhelming if you don't have kind of boundaries in place to kind of
guide the habits that you do want to maintain or build. Okay, so I'm just going to share what my normal dayto-day
and week to week routine looks like. It probably won't be as exciting as you might think. [laughter]
I mean, it can be exciting, but uh the way my life works, I'll quickly share my entrepreneurial cycle. So, I have
spring, well, we all have spring, but here's how I do it. Spring, summer, uh fall, winter. Spring is for launching.
Summer is for living. Fall is for listening. Winter is for learning. And so learning goes back to spring, which
is launching. So I'll I'll slow that down a little bit. I try to make my whole annual salary within 3 months. I
ran like this. I ran my business like this for like four to 5 years on and off. And it just depends on what season
I'm in. But this is a really great way to live because it takes away I don't want to call it financial anxiety but
sometimes you have a lot of pressure whenever you approach a launch season. So it's just nice to launch everything
back to back to back to back at once and then make your annual revenue within 3 months. So, I try to do that in the
spring, which leads to summer where I'm able to live a little bit and enjoy all the hard work that I put in because yes,
those three months are incredibly intense and stressful and maybe some of the fulfillment is up front. So, it just
takes a lot of energy. And then in the fall, that leads to listening. So, this is where I'm sending out surveys. I'm
just collecting feedback, um, doing polls in my private community, just figuring out what people are needing for
the next year and where there's still a gap in what I'm able to offer. And then based on those answers, it leads into
winter, which is the learning season. So, I look at the answers, I study them, and then I go deep and learn as much as
I can about some of the areas where people need the most help because number one, I just want to serve them better.
people who have already invested in me and into my products and services. And then number two, I love to learn. So why
not just go deep on a couple topics and really give yourself three months of I don't want to call it isolation, but
intense focus. [laughter] And I love to hibernate. Like this blanket came with this condo and it's just the coziest
thing. This couch is literally the best. But I feel like this place is so conducive of learning and just putting
your head down and getting to work. So yeah and then based on all the things that I learn goes back to the beginning
of the cycle which is spring I launch a new product or revamp a service and that is my life as an entrepreneur. Okay. Um
depending on the year I might have events and different like retreats and masterminds and boot camps and all of
that will vary yearbyear. Uh, but more often than not, I'll have more seasons of stillness that look like this. And
then four to five times a year, I'm like doing in-person events and activations. This year, we somehow managed to pull
off 12 events in 11 months in 10 countries. That will never happen again. I don't know what Stefan and I were
thinking last year when we planned this. Uh we were just very excited about the community that we were building. We just
wanted to give them as many opportunities as they could to meet up with us, travel with us, learn from us,
all that stuff. So now that it's behind me, I can kind of like really focus on the next version of my brand, next
version of my business. And while I've been building this daily 116 now videos um in a row on YouTube, I've actually
abandoned my Instagram. I have not posted a single thing all month. That's in 24 days. 3 weeks I've ghosted my
Instagram community. So yeah, my DMs are like, "Hey, is everything okay?" So I need to regroup and rethink my
short form strategy because long form it just it's a different part of your brain that you're activating. And short form
content is just it's different. You you can't pull this same strategy from YouTube onto Instagram. And so I really
want to rethink who I want to be and how I want to grow on that platform. Okay, all that said, I don't know if that was
interesting. If you're an entrepreneur, let me know in the comments if this was insightful for you to kind of hear more
about the behind the scenes of my business, but yeah. So, let's start off with Monday. So, Monday, I do personal
training with my tennis coach. Uh, he's a Brazilian guy. I looked up, I think, actually chat GBT. I was like, who are
the top tennis coaches in Bangkok? and he was first. I was like, "Great." I think I actually reached out to three
people, the top three, and he was the first to just like schedule it, book the courts, and just offer me a discounted
package. I was like, "Great." So, yeah, he's he's been great. I actually have two tennis coaches. Um,
one I work on my form and kind of do it's like a combination of personal training with tennis and then I have
another one. He's like elderly and yeah, it's just it's very cute. It's I feel like I'm uh
playing with my dad or grandpa like so he's just adorable. He's just like this quaint petite Thai man probably in his
60s and he whoops my butt sometimes. [laughter] And then his grandson who's in his like
20s, I sometimes play with him. [laughter] Sorry y'all. It was really I really love
life. But the grandson when I when I'm playing with him and every now and then I'll have like a really powerful stroke
and he says, "Wow, power. Oh, power." [laughter] It's the cutest thing.
I need to I need to upload a real of one of our last sessions. It's just so funny. Pawa. Oh, Pa.
>> [laughter] >> Okay. So, Monday is for private tennis training and um pampering. So, if there
is today, like today, today is a Monday. I went and got my hair rebraided. You know, being a natural blonde, I uh
kidding. Of course, I like to go in between like I'll do platinum blonde, honey blonde, brunette blonde, auburn
blonde. Yeah. I just I just love color. And I actually had uh an elderly black woman commented once. She was like, "If
you when you wear all black hair, it ages you." I was like, "Thanks. Noted." So, I think I've been traumatized since.
So, now I only have color hair. [laughter] I mean, there's nothing wrong with being
aged, but yeah. So, I I tried out something. It's like I This is the thing. I asked for this specifically.
This was not in her arsenal. And let me know as well if you want um information about the braiding experience in Bangkok
and you want to gauge how many people are needing this information. But I asked for Seneaglles twists with boho
style leaveout and curly all over. And this is she did it. Like it's obviously going to um it's going to undo itself
naturally and be a little bit more poofy and natural over the coming days, but I really like how it turned out. And this
woman is amazing. So, I'm just very grateful. And if you're a black woman, most black women here, we're either all
natural or we have protective styles. And for protective styles, there is no less than two dozen shops of places that
can um braid your hair. They'll be both African and Thai. Like the Thai people, they know the market. Listen, they
learned. They learned quick and they can braid just as good as a black and African Newman. So, um, yeah, it's just
very dope. Okay, so Monday, it's a very ADHD video, but we're going to stay on track. Okay, Monday is the private
tennis training with the pampering. So, that's getting my nails redone if I need to, manicure, pedicure, um, lashes,
hair, any anything that feels cosmetic. I do that on Monday along with tennis. And that pretty much takes up my whole
Monday. And then Tuesday, that'll be my day for personal training. So, I have a trainer. I train at base gym. There's
like I think there's like five or six branches. Shout out to Ari, by the way, um Jim Hookie on Instagram. She she put
me on to Bass because she shot I think an Under Armour commercial with the founder or the owner of Bass. And so,
yeah, she just introduced us. And so, I was like, "Yeah, I'll I'll sign up." So, I've actually never had a personal
trainer before. So, this is my first time doing this and I'm really excited. I don't think I've ever had a season
where I focus this much on my health and my health has always unfortunately taken a backseat to everything else. Um, fun,
work, family, friends, relationships. I've always just kind of said, "Oh, my health, you know, when it gets bad
enough, I'll take care of it." And that is absolutely the wrong mindset. And I think Thailand is so conducive of just
it's a healthy environment. It's it's conducive with better habits. So, naturally, I just wanted to try out
personal training and see, you know, just what it can do for me. And if you watched my 75 hard video, I talked about
how I'm doing 15,000 steps, you probably might have noticed in my face, well, at least my friend did. She she text me.
She's like, "Glow, you looking snatched in the face." I said, "Okay, it's working."
But I'm doing 15,000 steps, 15 stand hours, 150 minutes of active time. What else?
Doesn't sound like much. 15 minutes of personal development with Oh, sorry. Personal finance and 150 gram of
protein. Yeah. 15,000 steps, 150 gram of protein, 15 stand hours, and 150 active minutes. So, it's 1515 is basically um
yeah, kind of like ruling my life. 1.5 hours, you know, I'm going to put it in the video description. It's 1.5 hours
of active time. Basically, it's just like five, easy to remember. And I was inspired by 75 hard, which I completed 3
years ago, four years ago, and I lost 30 lbs doing that. And it's it's really intense. It's not sustainable, but it
definitely I'm the kind of person where I need a challenge to get myself in motion. It's very hard for me to just
naturally be motivated for the positive benefits of things, unfortunately. So, with 75 harder, I wanted to do it when
it was going to be 75 days until 2026 so that I enter January 1st already having having completed something really hard
and using and carrying that momentum forward. So, yeah, I'm just really proud of myself today. makes the official
halfway mark. And yeah, I know that I'm I haven't, you know, I'm going to start weighing myself again. I know I've lost
10 pounds so far. Um, my clothes are just I I noticed the clothes immediately. You just don't even realize
how tight your clothes were before. When you put them on, you're like, "Oh, this is really loose. Wow, the sleeves are
really baggy." [laughter] And it's just those small subtle differences. And I I would say the
biggest difference in weight loss because it's not just vanity metrics and aesthetics, but my hip pain, I have had
chronic hip and back pain for years. It just comes and goes, my knee as well. And when you have less body mass being
put and stressed on these ligaments and parts of your body, you naturally feel less pain. And so I'm able to walk a
little straighter. And oh my goodness, I just I wish I did it for the benefits of the the not experiencing this pain
earlier. Yeah. Okay, we we're going to get through this video. Promise you. So, [clears throat] I get Tuesday personal
training and a massage. So, this is usually just like a 90-minute foot massage or I'll have a lady come in and
she'll do a 90-minute full body massage in my condo. If you want more information on that, I'll put it in the
video description. But the company is called RLax. And yeah, I think it's really reasonable. For about $10, um,
you can get someone literally come straight to your door and give you a massage. Antonette always says to tuck
me in treat treatment. >> [snorts] >> And yeah, she she will really push you
to bed and it's just very nice. So that there's that. And then Wednesday we are doing again back to tennis a private
tennis lessons or private tennis uh training session. And then I'll also have my coaching that day. So obviously
being 12 hours ahead of East Coast time, it makes um coaching calls and any type of live interaction a little bit tricky.
So, I usually open up my my own personal calendar from 8:00 p.m. to midnight. So, I have that 4-hour block to work with my
private clients. This is both in business and relocation. So, it's been fun working one one-on-one with
relocation clients. And if you are someone that's interested in that, I'll put that in the video description. But
yeah, Wednesdays are like my days where I stay up a little bit later. In full transparency, I'm staying up till
midnight anyway because I usually need to get the last 500 steps up until like 11:00 p.m. So, it's not too bad. And I I
think I'm sleeping 7 to 8 hours. So, I'm waking up my body's waking up naturally around 8 to 9. So, yeah, feels good.
Okay. And then um Thursday we're doing uh personal training again, massage again, and then with the church, every
other Thursday we feed the homeless. And this is something that's just a really beautiful way to be a part of the local
community. Um but also give back to the city that's giving you so much. And I definitely want to get more involved
with other types of ways that I can give back. I think feeding the homeless is beautiful. And there's all always so
many volunteers for that. But I think I want to also figure out a way where I can give back to I don't know if it's
like small business owners or young entrepreneurs, but like mentor like the the youth of Thailand and the youth of
Bangkok. See if there's a way that I can yeah like help engineer the next um generation of just like builders and
innovators. I think there's something there too. But yeah, so that's what Thursday is for. And then uh Friday I
have my two-hour Thai lessons with my Thai tutor. And I used to do uh 3 hours a week on three separate days, like
every other day. I think it was like Monday, Wednesday, Friday. I did 1-hour lessons. And I later learned that this
messed up my brain. This messed up my day because it was so hard to get Thai. Well, learning Thai takes such a
specific part of your brain that if you are not fully invested in speaking Thai and just thinking Thai all day, it's
just going to take you it's going to take a lot of energy out of you. So, it was an energy investment to get my brain
ready for Thai, study Thai, take the lesson, do the homework, and then undo the Tai to get back into English. It
wasn't just a 1-hour lesson. It was like four to five hours of my brain trying to get back to English. So, yeah, I I
realized that I better it's better for me to just do a longer chunk of time one day of the week and focus very
specifically on different contexts that I want to learn and study for that week. So, I've been really enjoying um that
flow. Okay. Uh and with all of this, so that's Monday through Friday. Feels very basic, but I'll just say it again.
tennis and pampering for Monday, personal training and massage for Tuesday, tennis and coaching for
Wednesday, Thursday, personal training and massage. Um, and then feeding the homeless, and then Friday, Thai lessons.
Whenever I'm doing interviews, like podcast interviews or any type of press or business meeting, brand campaign
meeting, anything like that, I'll usually schedule those on Tuesdays or Thursdays as well. I used to have it all
on Wednesdays. Like Wednesdays was my camera day, but brand campaigns and negotiating and interviews just takes a
different part of your brain. Like I only want that on my schedule for that day. So yeah, Thursday and Tuesdays are
better for that now. And I have an interview coming up. It's going to be a really like many of you. She was a
household name and we're going to do a Facebook interview um in a couple weeks. So, I'm looking forward to telling you
guys more about that and how they found my videos on YouTube. Um, and it's a paid opportunity, so it's like you just
never know what telling your story online will do for you. Okay, then Saturday, um, this is brunch. I'm in a
group chat. I'm in probably four group chats. No, to be honest, it's more like six. Um, but they're all very specific
about different things. Like one is like just about fitness. One is about co-working. One was like brunch. It's
called like the Bangkok ladies and we just do brunch. And then one is about different adventures. So yeah, it's kind
of nice. I can kind of figure out, okay, what do I want to do this weekend? And with these people, I've done this people
with these ladies. Uh we've done like tie cooking classes. We've done a yacht cruise. We've done an R&B brunch and day
party, Friendsgiving. And so there's all these activities that we'll do on the weekends. Camping and yeah, most
recently we did like a yacht cruise in Patia. It's still Patia Paya. Patia, I'm going to say Patia. Uh it's down south.
It's about 2 hours souththeast of Bangkok. So um that's fun. And Sunday is church praise and worship posing up.
I try to do like no device day, which is kind of impossible with this daily YouTube thing, but yeah, Sundays are
really just for the Lord. So, trying to keep it sacred. But yeah, y'all, that's it. Again, I don't know if this is
boring or insightful, but hopefully it is um helpful in understanding that you could live an exciting life abroad, but
still have a very boring structure uh to your everyday. And because I just got done hosting three events here in
Bangkok, uh there was a mastermind in Shiang Mai from my Lifeloop community. I'll put that in the the video
description. Then we had a Bangkok boot camp where we shot almost 100 videos of many episodic series basically for their
Instagrams to help them market their products, services, retreats, and all that kind of stuff. Was very, very dope.
I got to basically help them produce and film like their series for for social media so that you have 30 episodes by
the time you leave this boot camp and you can spread those 30 episodes out for the next two to three months. So, it's
just a really cool way to batch content and then I had a VIP weekend with a client to help her with her episodic
series but also build out her business plan for 2026. So yeah, obviously there's a lot of movement, there's uh
excursions, private chefs, activities, all types of stuff that go into those types of events. And um yeah, there was
I mean we started off the year in Costa Rica. We were there for two months, Stefan and I. And yeah, ending in
Thailand, which is crazy. Just opposite end of the world. But I love that starting the year in a sunny place,
ending the year in a sunny place. I looked at the weather forecast the other day and it's like straight sun for the
next 10 days and I'm like, "Oh yeah, this is a true summer or like a true winter, but it feels like I've been
experiencing a perpetual summer." And that's one of my favorite things about travel is that you can just avoid cold
weather if you want to. And a place like Thailand, you you have wet and dry season. So even when it's rainy, it's
not ever really cold, which I love. Okay y'all, I hope this is helpful. If you don't know, my name is Glow and I make
videos every single day and they're more focused than this one. I promise. Usually I'm shark, but I've been sitting
in a chair all day getting my hair braided. So, I think I'm a little delirious, but you can check this link
out for more ways to work with me, including one-on-one if you want to go deeper and plan out your customized plan
to move to Thailand and yesterday's video. Aren't you? It's a pleasure. I will see you all tomorrow. Bye.
The yearly business cycle consists of four phases: Spring (Launching new products and business growth), Summer (Enjoying results and recuperation), Fall (Collecting customer feedback via surveys and polls), and Winter (Focusing on personal and professional development). This cycle helps consolidate annual income within three months, allowing for financial ease and balanced living periods.
A balanced weekly routine includes activities like tennis and self-care on Mondays, personal fitness and massage on Tuesdays, tennis practice and coaching midweek, fitness and community volunteering on Thursdays, intensive language learning on Fridays, and social plus spiritual engagement on weekends. This structure supports both physical health and community connection.
Maintaining a daily '1515' regimen is recommended, which includes 15,000 steps walked, 150 grams of protein consumed, 15 hours spent standing, and 150 minutes of active movement each day. Combined with regular personal training, massage therapy, and sports like tennis, these habits help sustain high energy and wellness levels.
Learning Thai enhances communication and cultural immersion, essential for building local relationships and business networks. The routine incorporates two-hour intensive language lessons every Friday, tailored to optimize energy use and retention, facilitating steady progress in language skills.
They allocate time for coaching and mentoring while actively engaging in local community efforts, such as biweekly volunteering to feed the homeless. This balance promotes a sense of purpose beyond business success and strengthens their connection with Bangkok’s social fabric.
Content creation focuses on producing long-form YouTube videos, capitalizing on deeper engagement over short-form posts. Participation in international events, retreats, and masterminds extends their global network, fostering knowledge exchange and expanding business opportunities beyond Thailand.
By concentrating income-generating activities primarily in the Spring phase, entrepreneurs can build sufficient revenue within a three-month window. This financial consolidation lowers ongoing pressure during other seasons, allowing them to focus on personal growth, rest, and market feedback without continual income stress.
